I used to work for a company called "American Roofing" out of southeast Massachusetts! Now I'm a service tech for another company. There are not alot of resources for roof service techs! This is really helpful for me. God bless!
You beat me to it. We use these yellow plastic gutter inserts that go inside the gutter to prevent from bending and they wrap around the face of the gutter to prevent scratches.
@@bebop4874 A 2x4 in the gutter works, also something on the ladder like cloth or foam, pool noodle..to not scratch the gutter...the roof guy had it right, just stay off the gutter and the rake with a ladder stabilizer....some jobs have no fascia, so the gutter gets hung from the roof, it's not good to even touch those, and why crack the rake edge shingles?....don't show up and cause damage, just stay off completely. 00.02
Watch how much wood they use for example half roof takes two days to finish square of paying 120 150 200 crew cut man 200 hot tar man 150 tare off man 120
Checking the attic allows you to know if there is sheeting for sure and possibly even if there is water damage in the attic. If you see water damage in the attic , most likely will see dry rot and when getting a new roof a contractor should thorough inspect any wood affected from dry rot. Certified installers that work on your roof should replace any wood that is rotted.
Also checking the attic for a customer can inform them if they need new insulation , possibly duct work their hvac , and other information a homeowner would want to know

This was fantastic! Thank you!
A real professional. Good job.
Super professional and good info. Thank you 🙏
Very informative video. Thanks
If you put tour ladder on the shingles there’s a big chance you’re going to brake the shingles, I’m sure you know what a ladder stabilizer is for
taking notes - thanks for the video
“Thoroughly witten”
Leaning a ladder against the rake breaks the shingles edge. Use ears on your ladder

I used a small towell. The 2x4 is a great suggestion because if the workers are carrying heavy shingles up that can dent the gutters inward.
If a roofer gives you a quote for replacement and all you get is one final number, find a different contractor
Probably you demage the shingles if you put the latter like that
typically you bring a gutter guard and a stick. its rubber and plastic and you put the ladder on the gutter
very good video tbh
That's good info for customers.

In a home inspection do you check the attic as well or only roof?
