This was fantastic! Thank you!
I watched this whole video and didn’t learn how much any of these cost per sq foot.
If a roofer gives you a quote for replacement and all you get is one final number, find a different contractor

“Thoroughly witten”
So is the first one the cheap siding????
I used to work for a company called "American Roofing" out of southeast Massachusetts! Now I'm a service tech for another company. There are not alot of resources for roof service techs! This is really helpful for me. God bless!
Watch how much wood they use for example half roof takes two days to finish square of paying 120 150 200 crew cut man 200 hot tar man 150 tare off man 120
The guy said the No. so quickly, not sure what he said??
What kind of roofing material is best for rainwater capture? I would think that standing seam metal roofing is the best.
Super professional and good info. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for this great video. Was clear and simple.
taking notes - thanks for the video
Even though I don't live in WI, it's still important info to know. Thanks.
If you put tour ladder on the shingles there’s a big chance you’re going to brake the shingles, I’m sure you know what a ladder stabilizer is for

Rooooofff
When he mention numbers $$$ is he talking to replace a roof or he’s doing an inspection?
Very informative video. Thanks
This guy's sounds like a shitty boss.. I can just tell. Btw, rather use gutters to place ladder verse put it on the shingles. Duh
Probably you demage the shingles if you put the latter like that
typically you bring a gutter guard and a stick. its rubber and plastic and you put the ladder on the gutter
Skylights have a 8-10 year warranty.
warranty and lifespan are two different things.
I don't think this installation is correct. Flashing tape should not be applied over the bottom flange as is shown in this video. In the event that water does get behind the window, the flashing will prevent proper drainage. Flashing the top and sides should be done to repel external water, but there is no reason to flash the bottom. I double checked and my flashing tape says, "Do not apply over bottom flange."
very good video tbh

Who makes the silican plumbing stacks
WHY ARE YOU MEASURING FOR A INSPECTION , SO ITS REALLY A ESTIMATE
He literally said it's an estimate at the beginning of the video you imbecile.
This video showed nothing.
Handsome salesman!
If you paint paint factory primed Hardie you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself. Paint sticks to Hardie very well. Hardie is porus and sucks up and locks the paint in.

In a home inspection do you check the attic as well or only roof?
Checking the attic allows you to know if there is sheeting for sure and possibly even if there is water damage in the attic. If you see water damage in the attic , most likely will see dry rot and when getting a new roof a contractor should thorough inspect any wood affected from dry rot. Certified installers that work on your roof should replace any wood that is rotted.
Also checking the attic for a customer can inform them if they need new insulation , possibly duct work their hvac , and other information a homeowner would want to know
These are the most underrated gutter guards out there. The moment I saw the design it just made sense - no waves, screens, dips, edges to hold debris. Things do slide off. I love mine on my home. I would say its tricky to install due to be flexible nature of it. The contractor needs to take their time to get an even uniform install and not be sloppy with it. It needs to tilt (slope) down a bit to not hold debris.
Little house should watch their mouths unless they are getting new siding.
Little should watch their mouth unless they are getting new siding.
so are your only service Wi not chicago ?
Leaning a ladder against the rake breaks the shingles edge. Use ears on your ladder
You beat me to it. We use these yellow plastic gutter inserts that go inside the gutter to prevent from bending and they wrap around the face of the gutter to prevent scratches.
@@bebop4874 A 2x4 in the gutter works, also something on the ladder like cloth or foam, pool noodle..to not scratch the gutter...the roof guy had it right, just stay off the gutter and the rake with a ladder stabilizer....some jobs have no fascia, so the gutter gets hung from the roof, it's not good to even touch those, and why crack the rake edge shingles?....don't show up and cause damage, just stay off completely. 00.02
I used a small towell. The 2x4 is a great suggestion because if the workers are carrying heavy shingles up that can dent the gutters inward.
A real professional. Good job.
Thanks for such a great video! I shared it on my blog here: www.homejobsbymom.com/should-a-roofing-contractor-inspect-my-roof/ It'd be great if you could share the blog post on your social media so we both get more views❤
