The sound is spectacularly bad. It has one of the worst mixes I've heard in a very long, long time. Blaring music and muffled dialogue do not spectacular sound make. Nolan needs to get his head out of his ass regarding sound already and update to at least 7.1. 5.1 was good in 1999, but not anymore.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy really is exceptional. The picture is surprisingly crisp for an older title. Looks like it was filmed last year. And the atmos sound is very well done too.
Excellent list. Based on what I got I would say 1917, Jojo Rabbit, Star Wars ROS, and Midway. For older movies that got 4k releases in 2020 I would say Requiem for a dream, Beetlejuice, Full Metal Jacket and 22 and I suppose 21 jump street

Shane...I know you said it have to be an atmos sound but Tenet should have been in the top three because even having a 5.1 it is so much superior to the call of the wild atmos which we have to turn up.

I don't pay that much attention to those kind of sites anymore. Though a 2K DI does limit the pixel count, it doesn't prevent the use of HDR on the 4K transfer; IMO HDR is more important than the additional pixels. Besides, professional upscalers are usually higher quality than in consumer devices; redoing 2K CGI in 4K (as Peter Jackson did with much of the LOTR trilogy) is even better.

Joker Midway Doctor Sleep SW Rise of the Skywalker 1917 Parasite Beetlejuice Invisible Man 300 Jaws V For Vendetta Blade The Hobbit Trilogy Bought and still need to watch: Tenet, LOTR trilogy, Coming To America, and Requiem For A Dream. Hoping to buy Game of Thrones in 4k soon.
Catalog title. Besides there's some controversy as to the tweaks Peter Jackson made to the films, mainly by those who took his "I wanted to make LOTR look just like The Hobbit" comments a bit too literally (LOTR still isn't 3D @ 48 fps). He still did a great job updating LOTR's early-2000's 2K CGI for 4K; it could have been much, much worse.

A movie shot in 1950 is generally not going to benefit from a remix that includes height channels or even a surround sound mix.
I think he excluded catalog titles in general, so not having Atmos or DTS:X on some of those isn't an issue. The biggest impact his exclusion had was on Tenet, because Christopher Nolan still prefers traditional 5.1 mixes.

Yes but those artists are only available for streaming on Amazon Prime in 4k Ultra not on any physical 4K Ultra discs as far as I can tell.
