7:54 Both Thor and Loki are momma’s boys but in a good way. However, because Thor is oldest Odin focused most of the attention on him. But if you watch closely how Loki fights you will notice it is very close to Frigga’s fighting style. So she not only taught Loki magic she also taught him swordplay.
A note I think is interesting, that last scene with Thor kissing Jane was actually Hemsworth kissing his wife. :) This is one of the least well-received of the early Marvel movies, but I always liked it and it sets up a lot of things for the rest of the stories going forward. Great reaction, as always.
All in all I can get behind the story and it's expansion to the lore of this series. I think giving the Dark Elves eyes was a missed opportunity to make them truly menacing - why would a life form which only existed in darkness have evolved organs used to capture light?
I was impressed with Jonathan Howard's (Darcy's intern Ian) comedic chops. The complete opposite of his character on the TV series 'The Last Ship' as one of the officers in charge of the special forces units working with the crew. Supporting actors never get the credit due for making scenes work and propping up the 'stars'.
Wow! Your analysis and attention to detail is AMAZING! And it will pay off as you continue this journey because this is the point where things really start to connect going forward. And I cannot wait for you to see where this all goes!
Btw, it isn’t even 8am where I am at and I am having the best start to my day with this edit! Soaking up that last bit of holiday time off before the grinds starts back up. I hope you had a good holiday and your teeth are healing well. Cheers to a Marvelous New Year!
Your reaction was all of us! "SHIELD! WHERE IS SHIELD!?" (I know the answer now, and probably you do too) And this is the big problem with an Universe with superheroes, you always wonder where the heck is everyone when world is in danger every Tuesday. And yeah, this is the worst written work of Infinity Saga and always forgotten on the whole (though people remember the Loki moments from this). Like you even skipped editing in the reveal (and talking about) that Aether is one of the Infinity Stones and there's total of Six and someone's collecting them. And that is a big part of Infinity Saga. No worries! It's pretty hard to pick up on that fact on first watch.
Loki will eventually understand his true glorious purpose. Strap in because it’s going to be one heck of a ride to get there. Hopefully it will not be the last great character story told in the MCU.
Loki is evil. No matter what, he always has mischievous intentions. Even when he's doing good. In both the Marvel comics and norse mythology he is completely unredeemable. He is literally the god of mischief (the norse version of lucifer).
Empathizing with Loki is one thing, using Odin's (admittedly) crappy parenting to justify the tens of thousands of murders Loki committed is unsupportable. Honestly Michelle, what would you have Odin do ? Just let him go with a slap on the wrist and a "don't do that again you naughty little scamp" ? The dude invaded Earth, killed THOUSANDS of people & destroyed half of New York. He deserves to be punished for that, in fact there is a very decent argument that he deserved to be executed.
We don't know the official count, newspaper headlines only mention hundreds which in a city with population over 1.5million is quite low. But you are correct.
I think it's more because it's incredibly hypocritical, Odin is literally *introduced* as having just caused the doom of the Jotuns homeland(even though they were doing the same conquering he was doing). The main thing that makes the difference is that we ONLY know of Loki attacking earth and earth alone, Odin (AND Thor) have both fought several wars on several realms and causes *far* more deaths with far less *reasons* than Loki did. Loki's punishment suits his crime *to us* because this time *we* were the victims, but what about the war Thor himself tried to start in his movie; HE gets banished and allowed a second chance because it was "the actions of a prideful boy" but Loki gets immediate life in prison(apparently originally death row) for trying to prove he was just as capable of conquering a realm like every other king before him? Edit: (SPOILER WARNING!!!) Plus, we later see that he wouldn't even have been a cruel ruler because when he was in charge of Asgard it was canonically the most peaceful Asgard had ever been. He was not only a good ruler, but he literally did *better* than Odin. Edit 2:I don't think I need to explain the hypocrisy of Odin treating Jane like a lesser being after having scolded Loki for doing that(as if he didn't raise him to think exactly that way). Odin is racist as hell and raised his kids to also be racist as hell, but then has the nerve to punish his kids for being racist as hell(as if he didn't spend their entire lives desensitizing them to the value of life and make them place their literal personal value on having a thrown). And are we just gonna ignore him spending this entire movie *endangering the life* of the *thousands* of people on Asgard because his racist old-ass brain couldn't fathom the Dark elves being a real threat, *right after* they just killed his freaking wife!?
I hated this movie when i first saw it. I think i fell asleepfor part of it and had to go back and watch it again. I don't know why but watching it in this reaction i have a new found respect for it. It still is the worst of phase 2 for me.
“Loki is just a little trauma muffin”
One of the most accurate statements ever said.

LOKI IS LITERALLY MY TOP 1 OUT OF 4 FAVORITES OF THE WHOLE MCU❤❤
LOKI WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY HEART💚💚💚

5:12 “For you. For all of us.”
Nailed it.
💚🗡️💚🗡️💚
Thor: The Dark World does not deserve the hate it gets from the fandom. It's not the best MCU film, but I found it quite watchable. LOL!!!
I enjoy watching it too.
Loki is my favourite character ever
for you, for all of us.........................................................................................................................
I like Thor but I absolutely love Loki! He is my favorite part of anything. 😊
“odin got some kind of nerve” you. you get me 😂

I WILL ALWAYS LOVE LOKI'S HAIR, SOOOOO LUSCIOUS AND PRETTY💚💚💚💚 EVEN A MESS, IT STILL LOOKS GOOD😍😍
Chaos Kittens and Trauma Muffins
I love it here!

They should have named this movie Loki: The Dark World. Face it, he was the main character.
UR REACTION TO LOKI PRETENDING TO BE ODIN WAS HILARIOUS🤣🤣
13:27 Loki is the God of Mischief and he lives up to that like a mofo.
Awesome reaction of my favorite Marvel movie!!!!😊😊😊😊

He’s an Avenger not a Pre-Venger 😜😂

Loki had claim to Jotunheim’s throne. As Laufey’s son he was heir.
Odin didn’t lie.
34:48-34:52 LITERALLY FUNNIEST LINE🤣🤣
Loki is my No 1 favorite MCU character by far! No one comes even close. And with the best arc even though they destroyed his character in Ragnarok
Yeah. Loki has his issues. But that doesn’t give him the right to invade Earth and kill humans so the can rule.
Loki will eventually understand his true glorious purpose.

14:10-14:15 SAME GIRL SAME👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
24:11 all I see is a blonde, bigger, Gale in this moment when he looks up with those “piercing” blue eyes.
imma call loki a trauma muffin now

Yep. My father didn't make me king either, and I didn't commit mass murder as a result.
@@PhilBagelsdid you have the choice to commit it? Well if you live in US then that choice always exists 🙃😅.

Jane is so stupid at the end there, where she tries to cover his body. Thor would likely survive that ship landing on him. Jane not so much.
Odin is a horrible father figure, but wait until you see just how bad a father he is in Ragnarok!
U may get a chance to see frigga again 👀👀👀
And you may get the chance to spoil stuff again 👀
Don't be that person, delete this please😮💨
