PART 2: • First time watching AV...
It's all leading up to this. Embark on an epic journey with me as I react to Avengers: Infinity War for the first time! This is a monumental event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing together characters and stories from a decade of incredible filmmaking. Stepping into this movie, I was so excited and nervous.
This is part one of my full reaction! I'll be posting part 2 tomorrow, Sunday January 7th 2024.

I love how it's always hinted in the background that Thanos really does love Gamora in his own warped way. Even as a child, he gently turns her head away so that she doesn't have to see the massacre. He has always referred to Gamora as his "favorite daughter." He offers her food. After smashing it against the chair and telling Thanos she hates that chair, Thanos doesn't sit in the chair.
Yes that’s what I’m saying! I think he really did love her.
@@CristyReacts He definitely did. It would have been a sacrifice otherwise. He wouldn't have been able to get the stone, if he hadn't sacrificed something he actually loved. Some have questioned how he could sacrifice her IF he actually loved her. But we have to remember that he feels what he's doing is for the greater good. Peter loves Gamora, and he was willing to kill her when he thought it was to save the universe. That's why Thanos said he liked him. He understood sacrificing something you love for the greater good (in each of their minds).

Gamora is the biological daughter of Thanos. "Red Skull" has a curse and knows the parents of everyone who comes to Vormir... listen carefully to what he is going to say = "thanos, son of Alars... Gamora, daughter of Thanos"... when Thanos was banished from his people and sent to the forgotten underground temple, "mistress of death" is the only woman (celestial entity) he met.... Ego, who created a biological body to transfer these genes celestial these offspring (Peter and Mantis)... "mistress death" created a body to carry Thanos' child (Gamora).
Thanos is an "eternal" originally, like his brother "eros" (starfox). he wanted Gamora to succeed him, and therefore, for her to take her place on the throne. in order to continue his quest, to prevent the war of the eternals and thwart the judgment of extermination of the races by the "celestials".. and thus prevent other planets in the galaxy from suffering what he experienced on "titan" .

@13:50 - Hulk was afraid to come out because he had just seen Thor dragged around like a rag doll, and he had got beat down by Thanos.
@21:30 - Wanda got powers from the Mind Stone, and that Stone is in Vision's head. So they have a psychic connection. They are also both hot, so it was inevitable they would get together.
@31:00 - Infinity War and Endgame are one long story. In fact they filmed both parts at the same time so they wouldn't lose any actors in-between. They split it for two reasons: the combined run time is 5 1/2 hours, which is too long for the audience and theaters, and there are so many special effects it took the world's CGI houses two years to finish post-production. So those of us who saw it when it came out had to wait a year to see Part II. The obvious place to split it is when the bad guy seems to have won and all hope is lost.
@40:23 - Peter Dinklage is a dwarf on Game of Thrones. So it is a sight gag to make him a 30 foot "dwarf" in the MCU.
30:41 Thanos's "I like him" speaks volumes as Peter was the only person in the entire movie (other than Thanos) willing to sacrifice what he loves to get the job done. Thanos respected that.

As you've now seen, Thanos is a steamroller. Sure, he's content to let his "children" handle a lot of his business, but the Mad Titan does like to get his hands dirty when there's work to be done.
Also, the outro narration was amazing and had me literally laughing out loud. Well done! Looking forward to part 2!
10 minutes he had beat up Thor and Hulk *and* killed Loki. Once Thanos is on the scene, things get... messy.

That Batman cliffhanger ending was so frickin funny. I didn't almost spit out my drink. I did spit out my drink. Thank God i was outside. I did not see that coming. Thank you for that. Oh and by the way,....Infinity War? You ain't seen nothin' yet. Get all the tissues you have, don't wear eyeliner, get your security blanket. Whatever you have in your hydration station, you might need something strong in it. Peace.
LOL I got lucky then. My reaction was just staring at the screen with my jaw dropped and then laughing once it finished. I would not have appreciated spitting my tea onto my carpet. It was done so well!
This movie is the MCU masterpiece. It's incomplete without Endgame (which was originally titled Infinity War Part 2), but I have to hold this as the stronger film.
I know people have been saying this is the better film for a while, but aside from smart hulk who has been the most disappointing thing in the MCU for me, I disagree. Yes, there's a lot of fan service in Endgame but I think in general Endgame is the best wrap up we could have possibly gotten and the emotional weight carries through the film making it edge out IW by a fair margin. Just my opinion though and I like both movies a lot.

@@genghisgalahad8465 - The story is tighter, the tone more consistent, and the culmination of bringing all the characters and stories together was masterfully handled. Plus, after years of teasing, Thanos delivered hard. When the Endgame reactions come along, I can sings heaps of praise about it as well and what it brought to the table. Why you're getting sour is beyond me.

Congrats, you are about the only reactor who noticed that Thanos blew up the ship with Thor still on board.
Thanos’s glove has 1 Infinity Stone (Power Stone) at the beginning of this movie. He got it from Xandar after the Guardians of the Galaxy took it from Ronan the Accuser. The Xandarians were suppose to keep it safe. We never see Thanos attacking Xandar………Cheers
I heard that they already had a scene of Thanos destroying Xander but since the footage is too long they had to cut it out from the movie .
I've met Dave Bautista, the actor who plays Drax, he's a very nice person. I've also met Michael Rooker, who plays Yondu, also a nice person.

Top 3 MCU movie for me, and even better than Endgame. Probably the movie that most realized the potential of what had been built over ten years, and a truly outside the box plot for a superhero film. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can’t wait for Cristy’s verdict!

Infinity War is-AWESOME !!! LOL. Remember seeing this at the cinema,never seen some many folks get up ( at one time too-LOL )to use the restrooms. I stopped drinking water/soda upto 2 hrs before the movie,so I didn't miss a scene.

You've mentioned twice now how brave Peter is for being so young. In most cases I'd say a lot of teenagers don't think about their own mortality. But let's be honest... Peter has seen some serious threats and dangers. But he still puts himself in harm's way to protect and help others.

If you want to rationalize it using logic, Gamora said she never found the Soul Stone. She didn't say she didn't find the map to it, she never said she didn't know where it is. She said she never found the stone. So what she said is true "from a certain point of view."
I am suspecting, strongly suspecting, the answer to the tissue question in the end of this video is "yes".

That's Arianna Greenblatt as Young Gamora- who will grow up to be the Disney kids' most beautiful yet. Also, as we advance, Harrison Ford will replace General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross as, sadly, William Hurt passed away in real life. Who knows who will be the new Kang? Cristy is far from that. Infinity War and Endgame are two of the greatest movies of all time. I don't see part 2 out yet, but it's an outstanding reaction so far. Glad you're catching up. I assume you’re still going to be viewing the MCU movies in release order, correct? So you have “Ant-Man & the Wasp” and then “Captain Marvel” to enjoy before starting “Endgame”. There’s a good reason they were released in that order, so definitely stick with it. 😊

If Dr. Strange realized he could use the portals the way Wong did when he stopped that monster and cut off its hand, they could have done that to Thanos' hand with the gauntlet.

A lot of people miss the point of what has happened with the Hulk. For the first time in his existence (and throughout the current MCU), the Hulk actually had a life. He had friends and a life where he is admired and respected. It's a total departure from the his "life" on Earth.
Up until now, his only purpose was to save "Banner" during a crisis or be used as a blunt instrument to help fight Avengers enemies. The minute the problem was solved, the Hulk was "put away" and forgotten until they need him again.
The Hulk and Banner are separate people sharing an existence, but Banner is the only one who has a life. After having and enjoying a life on Sakaar, it's suddenly ripped away from him again when circumstances cause Banner to return and the Hulk to be shelved. It's enough to make the Hulk start to resent Banner and not want to help when "called".
In comics it was Silver Surfer that warned Dr Strange that Thanos was coming after he was nearly killed by Thanos and Silver Surfer was in Fantastic Four movies and comics ❤❤❤

I was ecstatic when Aliens (1986) was mentioned and used as a rescue plan to save Dr Strange! If you have not seen it yet then watch the Special Edition. And the first movie, Alien (1979)

Cristy, I'd like to recommend some of my favorite movies for you. Like "The Bourne Identity" with Matt Damon, redefining action/thriller/spy genres for the new millennium. Or if you'd like a quiet, down-to-Earth slice of life, try "Nobody's Fool" with Paul Newman.

Squidward tells Strange if they arrive with the Time Stone still on him, he will be punished for failing Thanos. But later on Titan, Strange still has it and Thanos says Squidward still completed his job by bringing it there.

Just so you know. It doesnt have anything to do with the franchise yet but the grand-master and the collector are brother. They're from a family of 4 or 5(Cant remember) and they are the elder of the universe. i think they have 2 other brother and 1 sister. been a minutes since i saw that info
6:59 It's not explained; really only shown/hinted at [somewhat unclearly], but while he gains access to a wider array of abilities, the radiation each stone gives off actually considerably weakens Thanos.
The pained groans when he adds each one to his glove, and the fact that the more stones he collects, the more he fights using the abilities they grant instead of his otherwise unmatched physical might.
If not for the unimaginable burden of suffering each stone inflicts on whomever possesses it on their person, Thanos would be even more physically capable.
Since he already has the power stone when we first set him onscreen, this means that he wasn't anywhere near his peak physical capabilities when we saw him fight the Hulk.

Vision only looked human because of Wanda's Magic. It an illusion. As soon as Thanos squad showed up it broke the spell.
It's splitting hairs and not really important, but I'm pretty sure Vision's appearance was his own doing, like when he created the cape for himself

In the films, they try to make Thanos out to have noble intentions. In the comics, Thanos killed half the universe simply to gain favor with Lady Death who he was in love with.

The reaction of virtually every MCU fan ever who saw this movie. Many of us still haven't passed the denial stage in our grieving; despite the events of subsequent shows and movies.

@@ndozer9 Yeah, I never understood that either. That's one reason why I was convinced until Endgame that it was still all a ruse on his part. Which imo would have made more sense than what actually happened.

Imagine this being the end to the MCU. I dont mean after end game (tho i wish they did) i mean just this. It ends on winning. Being untouchable. He won. Imagine the build up of the heroes, the addition of dr. Hulk deleted scene, all their afforts gone. Reduced to atoms. It would be the saddest ending in all cinema. And one of the greatest
So bleak! But it would definitely be a unique ending
