Tony and Steve’s perspectives were flipped based on events in past movies. Tony created Ultron, which resulted in the kid’s death; he feels guilty and realizes he is not always right, so is more open to oversight.
Steve originally trusted the government, but the events of Winter Soldier gave him doubts about institutions, and now believes that the Avengers are more trustworthy than government.
Steve's disillusionment actually started in Avengers, when he finds out that SHIELD is using the Tesseract to make weapons, which Steve actively fought against.
A number of things, lines or whatever are actually attached to future movies and show and often go un-noticed, Like Rhodies crash, the call that Tony gets while reading Steve's letter.

@@aaronbeatdown Moreover, the World Security Council that governed SHIELD decided to nuke New York City in Avengers. Steve learned from his movies that the best hands are HIS. Not the governments and not even Tony Stark's. And he was right.

But the reality is that, based on your opinion and one that I've always thought about, Rodey's line to Cap I've always found very very pointed... When he tells him "Sorry, Steven. That's dangerously arrogant"; when they are talking about other people telling them what to do... And it goes to what you said, that Cap, as one of the leaders of the Avengers (certainly the de facto leader when it comes to strategy and missions) is usually the one that makes the decisions; so he isn't only saying "WE are the best suited to decide what to do", he is also saying "I'm the one that should decide"... And that's, like Rhodey said, "dangerously arrogant" and faulty as hell... What makes Steve the highest authority in THE ENTIRE WORLD? What makes you think that he is so flawless? Not able to make mistakes... He proved this movie, with Bucky, that he can't think straight when it comes to his personal feelings and attachments; which is understandable, but then let's not pretend that he should be the one who decides what happens IN THE ENTIRE WORLD and it's people
There are many many many many issues with the idea that Cap should be the one calling ALL the shots... He isn't "perfect" as a person, but let's also talk about the external implications of it... Why would anybody in Colombia, China, Japan, Netherlands be ok with CAPITAN "AMERICA" saying to them: "I know better than anybody what should be done in this world; better than you, better than the people you elected in your countries, better than your own heroes... I am the one who decides"... The geopolitical aspect of it as a non starter for a lot of people... If we were to entertain the idea that one being in their group should be trusting with "total" power over their decisions, it wouldn't be Steve; it sure as well wouldn't be Tony either, it would probably be Vision... And Vision itself was against the idea of believing themselves to be sooo impervious to wrongdoings that they shouldn't be kept in check by anybody
I been wanting to say this but I honestly don’t see how ppl can say Cap doesn’t easily have the best trilogy
Most people don't argue that point, it's not much of a contest. Cap had one good movie followed by two great ones. Iron Man had one great movie followed by one weak one, then one that's polarizing, equally loved and hated. Thor had a good movie, a weak movie. then a polarizing one that was equally loved and hated. Only Cap had two outstanding movies in his trilogy. Only Cap didn't have any weak/subpar movies in his trilogy.

Cap since his unfreezing has always been used as a mirror/metaphor for US policy examination. It's needed to interact with the wider marvel universe to make its points.
In the MCU Black Panther has almost identical physical abilities to super-soldiers like Captain America and Bucky. Enhanced strength, speed, agility etc. In addition he has the vibranium Panther suit which makes him bulletproof and gives him claws which are just as durable as Cap's shield.
I mean comics they basically are even in physicals too.

You might want to rewatch Winter Soldier. It clearly demonstrates Caps’ feelings on the issue and makes his actions in Civil War very logical for his character.
Exactly. If you remember correctly, Fury was on board with those automated helicarriers bristling with weapons to kill thousands of people until cap told him "this isn't freedom, this is FEAR." Cap is all about freedom and every person's right to choose, American or otherwise. You take that freedom away, like HYDRA did to Bucky, and like they tried to do inside SHIELD, Steve's gonna aheva very big problem with that, so if you're HYDRA, the last thing you see before getting knocked out is the sound of a spinning disk of vibranium being hurled in your general direction, lol!
There are a lot of little moments that she forgets about or misses. Which is fine because blind one time reactions on camera will do that.
But she was right about Tony. He should have known better than to trust the same people who tried to nuke New York, tried to steal his suit, broke into his house, essentially put him under house arrest and threatened him with violence if he tried to leave - all with no trial or even an accusation of a crime.
Granted, Tony might not have known about all the horribly illegal stuff Ross did in The Incredible Hulk, but he's been a bad guy since we first met him. And SHIELD has been doing some corrupt things since we first met them.
Yeah, Cap is the man! Actual honorable soldier and not a goon tool like Rumlow.
@PhilBagels Ross is more of antagonist than a badguy/villain, really. But he does have his moments where his character makes the audience go "omg, if this old crotchety bummer doesn't stop with my heroes, I swear...." 🤣
Stand out dialog of this movie: Steve: "He`s my friend." Tony: "So was I." It`s the WAS that makes it.
It’s my favorite line in the movie.
There's a Tony line in the trailer "I was wrong about you. The whole world was wrong about you." that's not in the movie.
The way Robert Downey Jr delivered the "I don't care, he killed my mom" line gives me chills. Top tier acting
Yeah ikr. You can just feel the anger and rage underneath his breath. RDJ and Chris Evans killed it in this film. Everyone did!
I think Wanda is supposed to be in her early 20s. So for Cap yeah she's "a kid"
Cap is only a few years older actually when you subtract his time as a Capsicle.
She's 27 in Civil War.
It amazes me how many reactors watch the scene with Steve and Bucky in the kitchen, Bucky clearly shows that his memories are returning, clearly misses punching Steve in the face on purpose, then says out loud "I'm not going to kill anyone" and the reactor follows it up with something like "Well Bucky is obviously evil and a lost cause." It baffles me.
Alot people miss that in that scene and the confusion on Bucky's face when he looks at the news paper.
Also, if you pay attention to the fights, Bucky's fighting style is changes when he's in Winter Soldier mode. In the apartment fight he tries to use the metal arm as a defensive measure but as the Winter Soldier he uses it as a full on weapon.

It’s a very serious scene, but that reaction made me laugh.

@@CristyReacts To be fair, movies like these show random buildings getting destroyed (by villains and heroes alike) literally all the time and completely gloss over it. We're only meant to care about it this time because it's convenient to the plot.
@@kevinw.6177 That's the point of this movie, to bring to the forefront how little attention they've been paying to the destruction they cause. It's not a convenience, it's the whole point.

I love the disbelief in Cristy's voice here 22:28, and her thinking Cap wasn't going to be able to hold down that helicopter😂

They don't do a good job of making Vision's powers entirely clear. His primary ability is to control his own density. He can become fully immaterial, like a ghost, which is why you see him walk through the wall and some of Hawkeye's attacks pass through him. He can also become ultra-dense and nearly indestructible, such as when Hawkeye's attacks shattered against his face. When Wanda uses her powers to stop him, she's forcing him into his ghostly state, allowing Hawkeye to step free, then making him super-dense, so he falls through all the floors of the building. Also, he can fly and project a beam from the Mind Stone in his head, but that's pretty obvious I think.
I liked that you called him Zamo throughout the whole movie. Adorable.
Next movie: "Finding Zamo: Nemo's long lost cousin"
When Warmachine tells Steve he is a criminal, he clearly doesn't fully understand the situation. A murder squad was sent to kill Bucky, which is probably illegal in any civilized country. The criminals in that scene are the one who sent the squad (probably Ross) and the German police who followed that illegal order from a foreign individual.
Steve Rogers understands the concept of "total war," and he also is dealing with Hydra's infiltration/corruption from within of SHIELD, so he has a new healthy mistrust of large institutions. Tony Stark is dealing with his own personal crisis of faith, as his rebelliousness led to Utron's rampage, so he is focused on the need for oversight. I'm Team Cap all the way, but Vision's perspective is also compelling. Fantastic movie - it's on my Top 10 list.
That is what makes this movie so fantastic. There is no one side that is clearly 100% wrong. As you say, compelling arguments!
When you were so happy with how many Marvel characters turned up in Captain America The Winter Soldier I just knew you would love and be awed by this movie.
Spiderman is super strong he just doesn't have the experience to fight he is a kid ,
Also you can watch Tobey Maguire's spiderman trilogy (sony-marvel movie ) and Andrew Garfield's (Amazing Spiderman 1 & 2 ) they are not part of mcu but it's marvel because marvel sold the character Spider-Man to Sony they own it

This is the movie that finally got me into the MCU. I wasn't super interested before Spider-Man joined (now I love all... well most... of them lol)

Winter Solider was the one that hooked me. The first Captain America movie was kinda corny. I only liked the first Iron Man, the following ones didn't do it for me. Thor movies were meh. But the Winter Solider and Civil War touched on certain ideas of freedom and choice and how todays world seemed to have forgotten how valuable that is. Also how dangerous it was to give that power to institutions. These 2 movies also made Cap America the most interesting character.

P.S. Visions powers are not limitless. He's strong, and his vibranium body is durable. His other main power is that he can can change the density of his body; for example he became immaterial enough to fly through Ant-Mans body. Wanda made him become so dense he fell through the floor.
Zemo is an atypical villain. He really just wants revenge for his family. BTW it's pronounced ZEE-mo. 😏
They definitely would have been on opposite sides of the argument when we first met them. But the events of the movies in between have Steve believe less in those who give orders, especially against his own personal moral values; and Tony being his own worst enemy and because it's Tony, if he needs minding, so does everyone else.
I just want to point that Steve ALWAYS sucked at following orders. He broke the law attempting to enlist multiple times, then disobeyed orders to rescue Bucky. He’s never been a “company man.” Took him all of five seconds to decide Tony’s suspicions in The Avengers were worth investigating.
He does what he thinks is right regardless of what others think or even what he’s supposedly obligated to do. That was a part of his persona from the beginning. People miss that. A lot.
And at no point does Tony decide to follow the rules himself. He smuggles Peter in and out of Germany, certainly doesn’t offer his identity or powers up to the authorities according to the very law he’s allegedly enforcing, and effectively deploys a human trafficked child soldier.
He still doesn’t give a fart about anyone else’s rules. Just what HE wants.

Loved your reaction to this epic movie! It's very interesting to discuss the two sides that Tony & Steve took on the accords and thinking they each should have been on the opposite side. I think what you're seeing is that each of them are about halfway through their personal journeys. It's true that Tony started out very arrogant but starting in his first movie when he saw his weapons being used by terrorists the first thing he did was put himself under check by shutting down the weapons division of his company. From there he has made more and more decisions based on what he thinks is best for the public, not necessarily himself. Steve started his journey really seeing the good in things only to see Shield creating the hellicarirers in Winter Soldier and then finding out it was Hydra all along, so he no longer has any trust in government entities.
Glad you're enjoying the MCU so much and that you like to really analyze the films. I vote YES on Star Wars. I'd say that depending on how much you know about the plot already is the order you should watch them in. If you know absolutely nothing then the release order is the best.
I know a LITTLE BIT about Star Wars... some of the classic lines ("Luke, I am your father") and such... because of pop culture references. But I've actually never seen any of them! So would you say release order is the best?
@@CristyReacts Yeah, I'd go release order. You'll also definitely get less messages from people telling you "you're doing it wrong" that way. It also depends on if you are going to add in any of the tv shows (there's multiple series both animated and live action). Those, and some of the side movies, I would add in chronologically. I can send you a recommended list if you'd like.
@@CristyReacts Here's the Star Wars order I'd recommend if you want to watch everything. It's the major Episode films in release order with all of the side movies and series added in chronological order. You should at least watch the Episode films and Star Wars Story films. If you end up really liking the first three films then I would recommend adding in the live-action series. If you absolutely love them and want to be a completest you can add in the animated series but some of those have a lot of seasons and will slow you down from watching the major films.

If you're looking for a recommendation, I *highly* recommend Warrior from 2011. It It stars Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, and Nick Nolte. One of my absolute favorite movies! Go into it completely blind and I promise you'll enjoy it! (The synopsis gives away what I think should be a surprise in the movie)
Civil War was a great arc in the comics. Even more violent. But the MCU adaptation is pretty impressive. Probably my 3rd fav MCU movie.
Fun side note on Sebastian Stan in the Romanian market scene. He is actually speaking Romanian since he is from there. Cool, huh?

24:20 Oh yeah that would've been a massive shock for people watching the MCU without all the trailers, leaks, and rumours surrounding these films around the time they were released. We knew for a while that Marvel Studios were trying to bring Spider-Man into the MCU, a good few years for people following the whole Sony and Marvel drama.
Little background. Sony own the film rights to Spider-Man since 1999 when Marvel sold many of there Movie IPs off to differant companies in hopes of making money as Marvel were facing Bankruptcy, Marvel later went bankrupt in 1996. This was all before Marvel had there own in house studio so everything pre MCU was created by Fox, Sony, and Universal making it difficult for any early Marvel film to cross over for legal reasons.
Sony developed a Spider-Man trilogy in the early 2000s starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and directed by Sam Rami. I'm pretty sure there was plans for an X-Men character to show up in one of the films like Spider-Man (2004) but that never happened, Fox own X-Men so legal stuff etc. There were plans for a fourth film in 2008/2009 but that was cancelled and Sony rebooted Spider-Man with Rami stepping down as naturally he would've preferred to stick with his idea, cast etc.
Marc Webb came in and directed The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) releasing the same year as The Avengers, making it the first Spider-Man film to release during the MCU. This film starred Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and was a full reboot with it's own origin story, cast etc. No connection to the past trilogy. And because of it's release alongside Avengers, Marvel actually tired to connect both films together by having the OsCorp Tower from Amazing Spider-Man be featured in the New York Skyline within The Avengers (2012). OsCorp is owned by Norman Osborn a Spider-Man character, connecting Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man to the MCU.
But as we know this never happened and both Toby and Andrew's Spider-Men connected to exist within there own universe. When Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn't do the best Kevin Feige the president of Marvel Studios met with Amy Pascal a producer who has worked on pretty much all the Spider-Man films in giving her advice on what to do leading to plans of introducing Spider-Man into the MCU.
And thus we got a 15 year old Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. If Andrew was the MCU Spider-Man then Peter would've been 18+ as a High School graduate and most likely in College. In the Civil War comic Peter was in his early 20s so this would've been closer to what we got in the comics.
All of this is also why we've haven't seen any X-Men or Fantastic Four characters in the MCU even with the later X-Men films releasing alongside the MCU. But as of 2019 Marvel now own the rights to X-Men and F4 so it's only a matter of time.

@@CristyReacts I'm a 2000s baby who grew up with the Sam Rami Spider-Man films so I'm a little biased towards them. Those films were my childhood and I do highly recommend them with Spider-Man 2 (2004) being my personal favourite live action Spider-Man movie. Spider-Man 1 is pretty cheesy watching it back but it's very charming, kind of like the 60s comics but it's also pretty dark as well and Sam Rami's (Horror director, Evil Dead films) iconic cinematography makes its way into the film so some scenes feel like there from a horror film, More so Spider-Man 2. Only problem I have with those films is how the "Kids" in Spider-Man 1 suffer from the 2000s trend of having college age actors playing teenagers.
The Marc Webb films starting with The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) are good, very slightly differant take on a Spider-Man origin but many parallels to the comics as well, some elements are even closer to the comics than the Rami films. I wasn't too big into the Amazing Spider-Man films but they've grown greatly on me. Andrew Garfield is an amazing Spider-Man, shines the most in the sequel but Toby I feel is a better Peter Parker. Tom Holland is the best of both worlds.
And finally the Spider-Verse animated films that I adore and came out of nowhere shocking the industry with it's amazing art style, animation, and overall just an amazing film. The final film of the trilogy will release in 2024, so far this is my favourite Spider-Man trilogy and could easily be one of the best film trilogies of all time if the third film is amazing.
I do recommend watching the Rami and Webb films before you get to Spider-Man: No Way Home in the MCU as it acts as a fun comparison to Tom Hollands journey as Spider-Man.

28:00 Actually I think you have this the other way around. The Accords sort of started this division, but the real division comes down to this. The whole world thinks Bucky was the one who blew up the UN, including Team Iron Man. But Steve knew it wouldn't be Bucky at all, and once he found Bucky he learned there were other Winter Soldiers and that Zemo supposedly wanted to wake them. So Team Iron Man thinks Steve is not only breaking the Accords but is wrongly protecting Bucky from the police. The other members of Team Cap (Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Falcon, Wanda) do not believe in the Accords and are simply helping Cap

You're right that Tony's character and Steve's character seem to be reversed here... but consider that Tony just recently created Ultron. He did so in the most positive of motivations, but it turned out bad. If he had listened to others, that could have been avoided. Tony is learning that HE needs the angel on his shoulder to help keep him focused on the good path. Meanwhile Steve just went through the Winter Soldier event making him question the people in authority. He realizes that even if the system is designed for the right reasons (like SHIELD was), if it is populated by the wrong people, it could be a bad outcome.

Have you heard of the show Community? The directors of this did the paintball episodes of that show. Definitely worth checking out. You don't need to watch anything to understand the episodes because they are self contained stories separate from the series. Those episodes are what got them noticed by Marvel

Black Panther’s suit is made of Vibranium the same metal as Captain America’s shield plus the Vibranium comes from his home Wakanda

IRL these movies (and perhaps moreso some of the DC ones) were taking criticism for celebrating the heroes while ignoring all of the human casualties of these giant battles. It's cool that Marvel answered that real-life criticism making it the basis for this in-universe conflict.

How do people even pick teams is beyond any understanding. It just shows their absolute lack of knowledge. You can't pick a team here as both Tony and Steve have completely different perspectives.
Captain is an out and out soldier, he knows when he's saving people, there will be causalities. It doesn't weigh him down as much and as he is a soldier, when the organization he works for ends up doing something wrong and he has to act on his free will, he finds it even more difficult. Hence, he cannot sign the accords.
However, it's opposite for Tony. He is a civilian, a normal human being well except the billionaire part. So when he tries to save someone but ends up with deaths of others, he is left devastated. He cannot bear it, he cannot live with himself. So, he immediately does things to correct himself. That's why he wants to be held accountable.
That's just about the accords where I feel them both are right in their own ways.
But everything that follows after, I've no doubt in saying Iron Man was right there without a shred of a doubt. I've seen too many reactions now where people pick Captain's side just cuz they like the characters of Captain, Bucky and Falcon. They don't really have any reason to back their judgement. It's so vague.
Captain's side is wrong cuz they're acting on their on will without bothering to tell Tony about what is up. How can he trust them? He is the one who chooses to fight Tony's team in case you didn't notice, Tony doesn't choose to fight him.
And, how do people even expect to expect better from Tony in the last sequence is beyond me? The guy has just literally watched his parents get murdered brutally and the murderer is right in front of him, he is supposed to do nothing, are you telling me you would do nothing if you were in his place?
And, the soldier, civilian thing applies to Bucky and Hulk as well. Both of them lose control of their minds. But, u see Bruce is so traumatized and terrorized cuz of it. It kills him. On the hand, Bucky chooses to fight Tony stark thinking it's not his fault as he was controlled.
And, I don't agree with that. If you're killing people, whther or not you're in control or not, you have to be punished for it because the family members of those people deserve justice.
And, in the ending scenes, it's clear that captain America is wrong, he himself says sorry to Tony.
You know, people should understand this that whatever Tony has done since he's become Iron Man, he's done it for the the greater good of the people in the interest of the public in a broader spectrum.
Whereas Captain does what he thinks is right in his opinion which is always wrong as you cannot trust your own judgement, it'll always be askwed because of human emotions. Like it was here
If it was someone else in Buckys place, would he be doing what he's done in this movie? Hell No!

Loved that you loved this movie! It's tied for favorite Marvel movie and so much happens. But even with the massive cast, it's about Cap and Tony's different directions being pushed by Zemo. A really good villain driven by revenge against the Avengers for what they're responsible for.
You're completely right that it's so strange for them to be on the sides of the accords from where their characters started but they've both changed and learned so much. Tony has directly faced the consequences of his own actions by being injured by his own weapons, directly attacked by his own creation in Ultron, she made aware of the collateral damage in Sokovia. He doesn't want to feel responsible anymore.
Cap started completly devoted to the chain of command but he really felt betrayed when he found out Nick Fury was developing Hydra weapons from the Tesseract in The Avengers. Nick was doing it out of fear of the new threats like gods on earth but it was not a small thing to him. Little did they know that Shield was corrupt at it's core with Hydra. He can't trust organizations anymore and takes on the responsibility (and consequences) of his actions.
There is the issue as well of people who can separate themselves from the hero by taking off a suit and those who can't. Being restricted from leaving your house because of what you are is an issue that bubbles up in other universes like The X-Men (quite a few great movies in there).

Tony trusted the system implicitly up until he was forced to see the flaws. He still retains a great deal of faith in it. Steve has never liked bullies, or pushing the innocent around.

Just as we think they are getting back together he reveals that Bucky killed Starks parents. I am team Captain America. He is the most wholesome and logical IMO. Watching the first couple seasons of Agents of Shield will really help in how Marvel classifies "powered individuals" plus it is a really strong "family" or group oriented show with several fantastic characters you've never seen and a few pulled in from the movies ... plus who can pass up more Phil Coulson.
And from how much I think you like Peggy Carter, you should check out her show ... it only lasted 2 seasons, but it is 2 seasons of absolute Peggy awesomeness.
Cristy, I think you set a new record for "WOWS" in this one! I think you hit the nail on the head when you describe your new found love for Marvel characters. Stan Lee purposely tried to make his heroes as close to real life as possible, with al their foibles, which makes us able to relate to them on a much deeper level. Buckle up because the intensity level is about to go off the scale but we all faith you can handle it. And count me as a YES for the Star Wars movies, especially the original trilogy.. VISION AND WANDA: Another thing they have in common are that their powers came from Infinity Stones.
The Vision can alter his Molecular Density from Being Ethereal (Lighter than air, which is why he can fly) to becoming as Strong as the Vibranium in which he was made. He can also become heavier than lead (Which is why Wanda could put him through the floors).
Wanda didn't put him through anything, his own increased density caused him to exceed the floorspace psi capacity thus collapsing...over and over again.(plus each floor below now has the above floor + Vision weight on it.)
Tony's little tantrum at the end just makes me angry.
Like, tons of people lost loved ones in Sokovia. But somehow because he has the technology and the money, he gets to have his revenge while other people just have to sit there and deal with their loss.
You question how Spidey can hang with Cap because of his size, but I guess you missed when he effortlessly catches a punch from Buckya metal arm, and then casually twists it to admire it. Peter is incredibly strong. He's almost always pulling his punches. If that were the only factor, Steve would be screwed. But Cap is way more experienced and not as excitable.
Think of Spidey like a glass cannon, or maybe a little more durable than that. He's very strong, very fast, but can be caught and hurt. He heals faster than most, but tends to take A LOT of punishment in big fights when he's hit.
Peter also has what he calls his Spider Sense (which forewarns him of imminent danger he can't detect yet with his normal senses) and extremely fast reaction time. These will become clearer when you see his own movies.
I would also recommend seeing the previous versions of Spider-Man before you watch Spider Man No Way Home (the third and so far most recent MCU Spider-Man movie). I don't want to spoil the reason why, but you *will* get way more out of that movie by watching the Toby Macguire and Andrew Garfield versions (in that order) first.

i think we learn throughout the movies that Tony is mainly driven by guilt thats why he follows what the government does while with Cap his faith is in the people he trusts so he was not gonna sign the accords especially after the winter solider film

IF you watch Star Wars ... same thing as the MCU. Release order. The first three movies are chapters 4, 5 and 6 but the second trilogy --episodes 1-3 -- hinge a lot on the viewer having seen the 4-6 already.
The Ant-Man on Hawkeye's arrow came directly from an Avengers cover. Avengers issue 223.
Black Panther's main powers are strength, speed and tracking ability (heightened senses). Additional powers come from his tech and suit, you'll learn about that in his movie so I won't spoil here.
You have to remember Cap is coming after Winter solder. Everything he thought was real wasn't . So it's only natural he doesn't want be under anybody he doesn't trust

If this would've happened in phase one. You would've been a 100% correct. However, since then. Cap has been disillusioned with the government after finding out Hydra was in control of SHIELD and Tony feels guilty about all the collateral damage caused by the Avengers. Hence why they switched positions. When it comes to the Sokovia Accords. I'm team Cap, but when it comes to Bucky, I lean more towards Team Ironman. I think Tony would've handled it better if he had not me lied to about it. So him finding out that way really hurt him more. Here are some non-spoiler facts about the villain Black panther and Spider-Man. In the comic book Zemo was a super soldier serum going wrong which also messed up his face but in the MCU he believes all superpower Beings are what's wrong with the world. Black panther has super strength reflexes and instincts. His suit is made completely out of vibranium the same thing cap shield of which Prince T'Chala designed. Spider-Man is one of the strongest characters in Marvel comics right under the Hulk and Thor. He can also stick to any surface not just with his hands or feet but his whole body. Also have thick skin which is similar to bulletproof Kevlar with a healing powers that gives him the ability to heal from nearly fatal wounds within a day or two. Spider-Man also has super reflexes that are tied to a abilities he calls spider sense which warned him from up-and-coming danger and provides a form of super speed. Not the type of super speed like a feature like Quicksilver but tied to his reflexes and spider sense he can dodge bullets from a machine gun from point blank range. Peter also highly intelligent he created his web shooters and the web fluid which half the tensile strength to hold a bus.

Red Skull in the MCU is a SS gone wrong that messed up his face. In the comics he initially wore a Red Skull mask but later on made a Red Dust of Death that he accidentally was exposed to causing his real face to become a permanent Red Skull face.
Zemo in the 616 comics was never a SS. He made a super glue that caused his mask to bond with his face after Cap knocked him into a vat or some other interaction due to Cap(been a long time and I never owned that issue).
Later his relative(son?) Became the new Zemo a skilled fighter swordsman and cunning strategist.
I've read that 2nd Zemo got a hold of the Cosmic Cube power or some other Mcguffin at one point and he was leader of The Thunderbolts.
Steve learned that HYDRA was behind the death of Tony's parents during _The Winter Soldier_ ("Accidents _will_ happen" -- Arnim Zola's computerized brain).
My favorite MCU movie in the entire Thanos saga.
You should watch Cinema Therapy's video on this subject, after Endgame. It shows that Steve started out as a man who follows orders, and Tony wanting to know what Shield is doing(Avengers 1), and at this point Steve knows that he knows what's best(The Winter Soldier), while Tony sees the collateral damage(Civil War) after his Ultron problem.

For the original Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr nailed the performance on the first go after being encouraged to do it by Mel Gibson, the role turned his life around.
As for Captain America, the interviewers only wanted Chris Evans to play the role, despite him turning it down several times.
They both owned those roles, no-one can ever take their place.

Cap is more about freedom. Freedom to make your own choices. That's definitely America. Ironman is more about order. Remember, in Avengers Age of Ultron, Tony said he wanted buid a suit around the world. Meaning with technology & order.... "Even if it impacted our precious freedoms," Tony said.
