    The reason Bucky wasn't wearing his mask at the end was because hydra thought that steve wouldn't want to hurt Bucky, so he'd be vulnerable.

      That is as good of an explanation as any I have ever heard.
      Other than the obvious meta answer that they were paying big bucks for Sebastian Stan to play this character and now that the mystery is over, get as much face time as possible.

      Simpler answer: We knew who he was, no reason to have a mask anymore. It didn't occur to me and I didn't think about it at all.

    Definitely my fav MCU movie but I can also say that collectively things only go up from here. I love Bucky. Sebastian Stan learned all those knife tricks himself so it wasn’t only his stunt double doing them.
    Thanks for all the great work making the reaction and editing and all. You really watch the movie intelligently and analytically. I appreciate that!

    Honestly the only reason Steve can survive the fall from that elevator is because his shield is vibranium, which absorbs and disperses kinetic energy. It's why when he jumps out, he curls up on top of the shield, putting as much of the shield as he can between his body and the pavement. The vibranium disperses the impact's energy, making sure a whole lot less of it made it into his actual body.

    • @ODINSON14
      @ODINSON14 3 месяца назад

      That's true, but I honestly think that if he was actually based off of ultimate cap, he should've just tanked that drop. But then again, they probably wanted him to be more grounded. Also, I'm happy that Steve is superhuman in the 616 now.

    • @MrHillBilly-j7f

      @@ODINSON14 It is a bit of both. He uses the shield to absorb the impact but he is also far more durable than the average human. Understandable that it can be easy to miss double credit scenes. As a rule of thumb, check for a scene after the "fancy credits" and before the big "text scroll" credits (mid-credits scene) and then a scene after the text scroll credits (end-credits scene).
    Except Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Just watch the whole credits sequence for those.

    part of hydra's plan was use the insight algorithim to try and predict those who could have become revolutionaries, activists, rebels, and kill em so that afterwards the only people left are surrounded in this state of fear knowing if they do stand up against hydra they'll get shot too, and the people who would have had the guts to stand up regardless would have already been dead. If there's no one to inspire those who are scared to stand up for themselves no one will is Hydra's logic. The algorithim would have kept running perpetually so anytime it found a new person who might become a threat to hydra it would take them out too. Total compliance with Hydra was the goal. And yeah the algoirithim probably wasn't perfect but that's supposed to be a critique of real world events like the patriot act passed after 9/11 which bassically eliminated our right to privacy and gave the government unrestricted power to take down anyone who they saw as a potential terror threat. This would include the several teenaged muslim kids who just simply happened to complain a bit too hard about islamaphobia following 9/11 on forums online, and for those posts they ended up in prison or holding without trial or due process for years. Their only crimes being using their free speech in a way that the government didn't like.

    I love how, while Natasha only got her own movie in 2021, we learn so much of her in sporadic bits throughout the movies until then, you really have to pay attention to all her scenes to get a whole picture and the reward is marvellous. Can't even express what an incredible character she is.
    Also, Operation Paperclip was real and yes it was just as interesting as well as problematic as you would think.

    This is pretty highly rated by MCU fans and it's apparent why in the film!
    - Shield/Hydra and every villain group ever tried recreating Super Soldier Serum. Bruce Banner was also a part of such experiment and he experimented on himself badly to become Hulk.
    - Apparently Shield ended here so Thor and Tony didn't get help for their own problems in their respective movies this phase.
    (Shield actually hasn't ended, For more on it watch "Agents of Shield" show! MCU has kept it vague but it is canon).
    - Sam's superhero name is Falcon, it was on the project files he gave to Steve when applying to join. I quite enjoy Anthony Mackie's performance.... I'll stop, just know that MCU fans are kinda wild in Phase 4
    Hype for GotG!

    Just to answer the question: Yes, Steve Rogers can be killed. He might be super human, but he's still mortal. He has heightened healing, not Wolverine or Deadpool level, but better than normal, so he's harder to kill. If he takes a shot to the head or heart, It's RIP Capt America.

      Yes, he took a couple of bullets in this movie. We know he fully heals from them eventually, even at a superhuman speed, but as you correctly say, nothing like Wolvie or DP. He seemed OK at the scene at the grave site with Natasha, Sam and Fury. I would imagine that was at least a few days later (somebody had to make the headstone, there was a funeral... that doesn't happen over night).

    • @PhilBagels
      @PhilBagels 10 месяцев назад

      It's one of the reasons why I don't care for this movie as much as many others do. Didn't anyone in SHIELD or Congress who knew about Project Insight ever say, "Wautaminute! What about due process of law? What about innocent until proven guilty? Isn't this the United States of America? Who ever thought this was a good idea?" Is Cap the only person to know to ask these questions? The premise of the story doesn't make sense.

    • @jaredschuster3010
      @jaredschuster3010 9 месяцев назад +1

      @PhilBagels since when has SHIELD ever been for due process? Furthermore most of SHIELD probably didn't know full extent of capabilities of insight and the ones that did were Fury or hydra. Also the world security council had many non Americans. Most countries around the world do not share in the little legal protections present in the USA. Look at the countries on UN human rights council and the world security council in this movie going along with insight becomes far more believable

    • @PhilBagels
      @PhilBagels 9 месяцев назад

      @@jaredschuster3010 Yeah, that's my point. SHIELD is an American organization, under the American government. Sure, not everyone knew what Project Insight was going to do, but a lot of people must have. Either they were all Hydra agents, or they seriously dropped the ball. And regardless of what any other countries involved think about human rights, they certainly are going to have something to say about the finger on the button being an American finger.
      There were a good number of non-Hydra people in SHIELD and fully involved in Project Insight, but for some reason, their brains weren't able to function until Cap gave his speech over the intercom.

    • @jaredschuster3010
      @jaredschuster3010 9 месяцев назад

      I brought up the other countries because it is the world security council asking for project insight to continue They were all for the ability to their kill enemies all over the world just with Fury, or someone they thought on their side at the trigger. What did they have to say about the American with a finger on the button? They said which one? Was not mad till they found out it was Hydra
      I dont think it is totally fair to call SHIELD American although definitely based in USA. However they do not police or gather intelligence for the American government or people specifically. They were never an uphold American value law enforcement. It secretly existed doing many questionable things and people were still involved. Anyone that worked remotely in depth for SHIELD had to know or have some idea at least, at of the things SHIELD did yet continued to work there. So for any SHIELD employee, even giving the most benefit of the doubt of their motives, would not have prioritized due process over protection. You also assume they knew the full capabilities of the carriers, even if they were part of project insight. The whole thing was underground and given Fury's comments about compartmentalization why assume most SHIELD employees, had heard the name let alone were curious about what insight could fully do? Why assume the guy that refused to launch the ships knew it was anything beyond three helicarriers and assume he knew it could kill people on the surface with such precision and quantity? It would not be too much to think Fury lied outward that the program was mainly defensive and for space threats.
      I ask why stop at project insight though? This movie really would a poor story because nobody saw Hydra coming in like 60 years. If that network can stay secret so long why not the full extent and motives of project insight?@@PhilBagels

    Steve can die. What makes Cap "Super" while not actually being super is how his powers all work in tandem, and the shield. He heals as fast a a human can ever heal without some sort of power. His bones, tendons & ligaments, muscles, are all as strong as a human can ever be. His nerves fire faster so his reqction time/reflexes sre as fast as a normal human can be. Along with that, his metabolism is as fast as possible, but his aging (telomere reediting & shortening scieny stuff) is as slow as possible. He can set every world record at the Olympics, and no non powered human could ever break them, all at the same time.

    • @testfire3000
      @testfire3000 8 месяцев назад +1

      I would argue that he does also possess some kind of healing factor. Clearly nowhere near Wolverine! However it is faster and more completely that what we would consider "humanly possible". He takes a couple bullets in this movie which would be life-altering for a normal person but he seems perfectly fine by the time of Fury's funeral scene. What was that, a few days? A couple weeks?
      Anyhow, that is just my personal opinion of one of the side effects of the MCU version of the original Dr. Erskine super soldier serum. I mean clearly there is a difference between Cap in the MCU and Cap in the comics.

    • @davidmeloche3563
      @davidmeloche3563 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@testfire3000 the movie gives him "4x's faster metabolism" than normal...which I guess could translate to needing 4x's the calories, and healing 4x's faster as well...then again, how fast does it take to heal from a stab wound officially? Pretty wide variable there. Bone breaks can go for 6 weeks to 8 weeks for a healthy person. Divide by 4, and a broken bone for Steve takes almost 2 weeks to a month for a bad break... actually...that's a fantastic turnaround if not comparing to Wolverine/Deadpool/Sabertooth levels of healing.
