    Deffo this design is to be used without the plastic inserts . Not ideal but 🤷‍♀️
    Hot Racing do the same knuckle with plastic inserts designed in

    Yes something have to give in a ugly crash.
    I have Hot Racing front hubs on my Kraton EXB and in a bad landing on one front wheel the turnbuckle and shock standoff broke. I guess if I had the stock plastic hubs maybe just the hub had cracked. That would cost less to repaire. But the pivote balls and drive shafts did not pop out. Its like they say, your car will look better with the metal parts, but it will still break! 😀
    I keep the metal hubs, the landing was really bad so something had to give. Hope not to often this happens. 😇👍

      Yeah I’m hoping it doesn’t cause other stuff to break but I guess we will see?

    Electric drill & MIP Allen tips are best RC upgrades I've purchased. The maintenance time drastically reduced especially for 1/8th scale & larger and once you have multiple RCs....LOL! Bought 7 for entire family, since 2018 & gotten back into the hobby

    I've got the aluminium ones on the front of mine but in black and I didn't put the plastic caps bk in I left the out, and the nut goes all the way in and it still feels great a very slight bit of play but that's how I left it so that it didn't rub to bad and they have been in for about 5 months and all is good buddy 😉👊👍

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  2 года назад +1

      If the driveshaft has the clearance you can also shave down the AR slightly on the end so the pivot ball sinks in further on which ever end you need to correct

    Great vid, thanks! Question, not obvious to an amateur like me, but @ around 7:00 you talk about driveshaft popping, did you treat both sides similarly? Would leaving the right side washers in affect handling? So far it is only the left that pops. Thanks!
