On a road trip with family 😍. Definitely digging both trucks, but longtimers know the Truggified Typhon is still my all-time favorite 🚀🚀🥰. Might've noticed the sideways jumps and rough landings 👀. The stakes to my plastic ramps kept letting go allowing the ramps to move all over the place. Problem solved thanks to galvanized 8" x 3/8" nails from the neighborhood Lowe's 😂. Thanks again to my buddies Ian, Victor, John, Shelby, and Kong for a Killer fun windstorm session!!!!
That was nuts bro that sideways lander how the whole side of that rig didn’t explode your group sessions are to die for my friend those are the best enjoy your family time and road trip brother🥰👍🤩🚀💪👊
🗣hello did you guys see and read! The TRUGGIFIED TYPHON is an all time favorite😁 ✊✊ ive got mines 4yrs plus and all she's broken was one(1) shock rod end. Ive replaced them with HR ends. SHE'S A MANIAC. SEND Break REPEAT.
I’m a Traxxas guy who after purchasing two Kraton 6s EXB’s on sale during the Bkack Friday sale is blown away by their performance. The Kraton was on sale for $320 which was an incredible deal. Traxxas never does anything that cool. Now I pre ordered the 4s Kraton & 4s Notorious V2. Just love RC and having a blast again with the hobby now that my sons are old enough.
Thanks so much for your comment William 🤗. Traxxas is like a corporate monster. They are too big it seems to listen to direct basher feedback like ARRMA readily seeks out. That's a shame because they could improve their products being more involved with the community. 320$ for a Kraton is a smoking deal 😱. Excited to check out the new 4s rigs soon!!! 😎💪👊👊
That was some amazing air time. Every launch I couldn’t even breathe trying to not miss anything. Thanks for bashing harder than anyone else and making it look good! The tips are another reason your channel kicks so much ass
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!! We had some huge sends and pretty rough hits for sure 😱😂. My plastic ramps wouldn't stay put with my normal stakes, but I got it sorted for next time. Truly appreciate it!!! 😎💪👊👊
Killer Bashing as always! 👍 Lovely easy mod with the Sledge steering, that's an awesome hack Rich! 😻 LP Backflips are my all time favorite basher tires too. Thanks for EXTREME testing of the parts again 😘😘
Thanks so much dear Kimberly 😍. Stoked this simple steering hack has given the Sledge solid steering 😱. That was a big gripe I couldn't ignore any longer. Your wonderful, lightweight towers have taken a beating 👀. Super impressed with them 🥰🥰. Thanks so much for everything you do for this great hobby!!! 😘😘😎💪👊👊
Sorry so late bro I've missed so many vids😱 Just not much screen time lately been so busy. But dude awesome bench talk and blast! Great tips on the steering links👌The Sledge is an awesome rig but the handling sucks!😝🤣I think sway bars will help too. That's my next upgrade for sure! I just ordered a fresh set if LP's to try on mine. I love the Backflips for big terrain bashing but they do dig the links. Just killer run and big sends and transfers off the Mega mound!😍Wicked group run at the end! The Truggified is like no other!💪💪Mine has just become a high speed sending machine🤣😆🚀🚀Killer vid bro and thanks for all the tips!😎👊👊🤟
Absolute Insanity what you do with those rigs. I cant imagine not totally wrecking mine even thinking about the rough and tumble and the volume of maintenance you do, You The Man !! God Bless!
Thank you Brother Phill 😍. I gladly spend most of my RC time with peaceful tuning and wrenching in the garage 🥰🥰. There's something satisfying about quietly cleaning and getting these machines dialed in for dirt duty. Hope all is well my friend. We gotta again talk sometime soon. God bless you too as always. 🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Great Video Rich!! Always high flying action packed entertainment!!! It's great to see the gang out there having a blast together. You guys all have great control and send them big!! Have a great family trip!! 💯💯😉
I must give credit where it is due and for the sledge to survive several bashes with Big Air says a lot about it.I would consider buying one except I already have around 50 different trucks and no damn room for anymore. That is until I add on a RC room to my house to keep them all in and displayed.
You get some amazing aerials here which is just awesome for us to enjoy. Thank you for this. My son and I will build either an 8s Notorious or Kraton instead of a Sledge. I mean it only going to be $100-$200 more.
Great video Rich, I swear you have some of the best places to run!!! I really like what you've done with the Sledge, and you were the one that convinced me to truggify my typhon, such a blast to drive!!! Enjoy some time with the family!!
Thanks so much Jon 🤗. The Sledge feels so much better with better steering 😱. Running the Truggified Typhon was the highlight for me during our group bash 😍🚀🚀. Definitely still my favorite. She feels Epic with Mojave arms, wheels, and +5mm M2C universal hexes. Having Margaritas right now with family 😱😎💪👊👊
That is definitely a great modification with the steering I’m going to have to give that a try, but great run buddy unfortunate it got a a little short but still killer bash.
Thanks so much Brother David 😜. So stoked the links were almost a direct fit 😍. The difference is nuts with sharp turning 👀. That was the last hurdle to overcome with the overall handling and driveability. Had a Blast with the Sledge, Kraton, and especially the Truggified 😍🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Woah Woah! what an extreme bash session !💥💥💥💯💯 Rich you are a king of the bash, it's abused these flights but also super well received! I say bravo man! enjoy! Tchouss🤘😉
No doubt Brother John 😜!!! So stoked you and Shelby made it out again despite the ridiculous non-stop wind 😱😂🚀🚀. I bought some giant 8" galvanized steel spikes to keep the ramps from bouncing all around again 😝. Those plastic ones just can't drive our rock hard summer dirt anymore. Hope we can connect again soon Brother.🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!! Always keeping it real Bro 🍻. Just trying to share helpful tips and find the limits having fun as always 🤗. Big shout out to my all my RC Brothers who share the same passion. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
What a fun video and great side by side. Love seeing the trugged typhon out again. So glad to see the backflip LPS live on and new 4s kraton tires will be an option. I feel like they might be good on the ol' talion. Awesome mods on the sledge . Some truly sick air with the typhon I'm left itching to get out.hope the weather permits. Happy fathers day bro and thanks for another superb bash video 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks so much Nick 😜. Glad the Sledge is coming together with the mods and tweaks. Definitely different than the Kraton, but fun for sure 👍. The Typhon felt awesome out there 😱🚀🚀. Mojave wheels seem perfect for picking up speed and air control. Stoked to have 2 versions in the fleet now 😍. Hope you can get yours out again soon. Happy father's day to you too Brother!!!! 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Hi Rich, I have carefully followed your explanations, the changes you have made to the sladge and your considerations, thanks for sharing all this information. Sledge is quite a vehicle, but it's not the Traxxas I'd like to try right now. I think that once the platform with brere chassis will be released, the MT versions similar to Notorious / Outcast will arrive. we will see, in the meantime, congratulations for the video. Davide
Thanks so much Brother Davide 😜. They truly should offer this Sledge as a roller. Especially since many will pull the stock electronics anyways 😂. Excited to see what else is coming out in 2022. Truly appreciate it my friend. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Plain simple killer session dear brother Rich 😱. The mod looks super easy and gain so much for so little work, awsome job🥰🥰. This is the best of the hobby, you can have multiple cars, and like them both, for me its a mather of mood wich il use. Awsm, and happy family trip🥰
Thanks so much dear Brother Thomas 😍. Just waking up at my sister's property in the forest 🤗. It's sooooo beautiful here. So happy the toe links worked out 😱. The steering feels way more responsive. So nice to have options between the brands. Truly appreciate it my friend. 🚀🚀🍻😎💪👊👊
I was out of the hobby since I was racing 1/8 nitro buggies and truggies way back. Racing is not for me anymore, the youngsters have ninja reflexes, lol. With that said, I have been watching your videos for a few months and bought the Typhon because of how highly you talk about it. 100% best money spent on an RC. Thanks for the parts list to truggify it. Thanks for getting me back in the hobby with your insane bashing skills. I also pre-ordered the Kraton 4s. Should be fun. Hope you upload again soon.
Thanks so much Brother 😜. Racing is fun too. Bashing is more freedom of expression and just enjoying the cars in different environments. Excited to see the V2 4s rigs up close 😱. ARRMA is always trying to improve their designs 🍻😎💪👊👊
Dang I love watching you jump these trucks. They take some big hits and keep going. I got my M2C motor and ESC mount in the mail today. Im just waiting on that chassis to drop now. I can't wait. Great video bro and keep the Sledge info coming. Thanks for steering tips.
Thanks so very much Jacob and Congrats on the M2C mount 😍. Such a beautiful piece of kit. Hopefully they're making the chassis this next week. They've undergone enough testing to feel 100% confident about going into production 👍. Truly game changing for the Sledge, just like with the ARRMA's. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜!!! Easy mod, but makes a huge difference in performance and handling. Nice having slight toe out and the ability to fine tune the rear camber. The Sledge is worthy thanks to M2C. Truggified XL feels dialled now🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
You guys are all the kings of hardcore bashing. Amazingly the trucks take almost all the punishment you dish out for sure. As far as brands I still prefer my Arrma over my Traxxas Trucks, they just seem harder to break and easier to fix when it happens, that’s strictly my opinion though. I’ll probably pick up a new Outcast 4S when they hit the stores so I can compare it to my new MAXX, same or better. Definitely costs less but the difference’s from the last 4S models and these should be fun to see and hopefully Arrma has edged out more speed for this speed bashing junkie. Have a great trip with the family.
Thanks so much Harry 🤗. Big shout out to my buddies for another awesome FUN season. The wind was almost comical 😱😂. Yeah I see the good in both brands. Overall, I'm partial to my ARRMA''s. As much as I like Green Bertha XMaxx (with her multitude of upgrades) she can be a pain in the ass to wrench on and access smaller parts 😂. Excited to rip the new 4s rigs soon. Props to ARRMA for continuing the progression. The pandemic posed lots of challenges and pushed release dates back with supply chain and workforce issues. Really appreciate it Brother!!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜. Thank goodness for Mitch and Avery Looper 😍. They're so passionate about their designs and listening to the bashing community. 🍻😎💪👊👊
The typhon/ outcast been my favorite also , I have few different variations, the reversed truggify is awesome too , typhon hubs with rpm outcast/kraton arms , bring back some handling on a outcast or a shorter lighter talion
Been following Rich a few years now and even to this day the Typhon comes out on top! I've had my 3s this whole time but maybe its time to get the big boy 6s. :)
@@richduperbash2966 Buddy, I just bought the 6s! It was on discount on Amazon, 24% off, so I pulled the trigger! I bash but nothing like you, my friend. I would be much appreciated if you could direct me to a list of the setup you have on your 3s and 6s Typhon rigs. :)
@@lilzeus-rc5410 that's awesome Brother 😱. Big discount too. My 3s rig still has stock electronics with an 18T Robinson Racing Extra Hard pinion. It's got Badland 2.8 tires glued on Proline F11 2.8's. The shocks are 4mm Turnigy Trackstar 1/8 buggy/truggy shocks from Hobbyking (now discontinued I think). I actually have 2 Truggified Typhons. This one has Kraton/Outcast gears, wider Mojave arms, links, dogbones/CVD's, and M2C +5mm universal hexes. Both Typhons have M2C chassis's, 7075 chassis braces, suspension mounts, servo mounts, and M2C ZRS bladderless shock set-ups and shock standoffs. This truck uses stock BLX185 electronics, my other has a Hobbywing 2200kv with Max8. Hope this helps 👍
Yo my man rich isn’t afraid to super send it 👍😂 both cars are impressive. That sledge is just right !! But arrma will always have the thrown. That first hit with the typhon was a moon shot !
Thanks so much Joseph 😜. Both cars are impressive thanks to some tuning and the M2C and other upgrades 💪. The Truggified Typhon felt like it was on rails 😍. Even with stock BLX185 electronics, she just hauls ass 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Top 3 r/c channels on RUclips. Yours, RCDUDE81 and Aldo’s are the best. How long does it rise to bash like this? Just got into the hobby 2 months ago. Keep crushing it!
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. It takes awhile to get comfortable bashing wide open and sending it big. Lots of hard hits and breakages along the way 😂. That's ok because you learn from every mistake and become a damn good mechanic with repairs. There's no way to rush the process. Start small with jumps and fundamental control. Gradually test and expand your skills as you go. Don't get frustrated. Just have fun 😍
You make it look so easy! The biggest problem with the sledge is the price. And still got to beef it up a lot. You basically made a Kraton/sledge hybrid
Thanks Gregory 🤗. Yes indeed Brother, Traxxas prices are inflated big-time. It's likely more cost effective upgrading a K6s. Especially considering the ESC, motor mount, and controller are junk in my opinion. I wasn't even turning the car on with any of it. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Car I have and spent heaps upgrading VS the one that came out just after... Not sure I wanna watch encase the sledge comes out as way better :P But as if I can resist!. I have my final steering mod arriving this week.. Full Vitavon, so hoping this isn't way better than that too or I could be double bummed out after this.. here we go :)
I'll admit I'm a arrma fan boy and don't really like Traxxas but that sledge is starting to call my name just wish I had your skill I live in Orlando Florida and we don't have places like that to bash
I don't really like Traxxas either 😂 but the Sledge is pretty solid with the M2C motor mount and chassis 👀. We'll see how she holds up over time. Hopefully get back to Universal Orlando with the kids soon. Absolutely loved it 😍
That sledge is killer with the new mods on there dude! I totally agree with you on the Typhon, they are the best cars out there. I’ve only got the 3S and it’s my favorite rig by far. Handles like a champ, and other than electronics and a set of Amazon wheels on there it’s bone stock! I’ve only broken one camber link and that was after a Nasty sideways crash off a 20 ft jump at 45 MPH. I’m lookin’ at the V2 4S lineup and I’ve GOT to get one 😂 so glad they finally updated the 4S rigs, although I wish they would lower the price… anyway, before I bore you to death just want to say love the videos and keep on bashing dude! 🤙🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks so much Brother 😜. The Sledge is feeling better each outing thanks to the upgrades, mods, and some tuning 👍. The Typhon 3s is a little Ripper no doubt 😍🚀🚀. Probably my favorite in the 3-4s category. Looks like ARRMA stepped up with some nice changes on the 4s rigs 😱. Excited to take a closer look and overview soon. Really appreciate it Brother. Happy bashing. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I haven’t been doing much with my RC’s the last 2-3 years now I’m getting the itch to get back into it. A guy I work with got a Sledge and it look good. It’s like they finally figured out what the bashers want. It’s basically a Traxxas kraton. Wonder if they are going to make the Talion, Typhon and Outkast next?
Now that you are a seasoned vet with all these rigs, I have a question for you about the Kraton 6s. I do some pretty high jumps, given your experience would you recommend a heavier weight shock oil? Or any recommendations for oil weight or anything shock related to help dampen and avoid such a violent chassis slap? Any info would be helpful as im going through servos like every other bash session now lol.
Maybe I've dodged a bullet 👀. Several guys have busted there's, including 2 of our test team Brothers. Fortunately, hardened steel M2C locking pins are already available on the website. I'm carrying them in my bag now, but will probably swap them on before my next run. 😎💪👊👊
That was one Hella session Bro Rich. Loving those over the head floaters. Wicked sends and rips Bro. The Sledge was looking awesome out there man. She's right behind the Kraton now that she is sporting M2C chassis and other upgrades. Props to M2C for the amazing hopups.
Thanks so much Brother Chris 😜!!! Huge thanks to Mitch and Avery for fortifying this platform 😍💪💪. The overhead jumps got a bit hectic with everyone out there 😱😂. We're always looking out 👀. The Truggified XL was the highlight for me Bro. Absolutely LOVE that little Ripper 😍🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
interesting video rich..I still can't decide..which is the best arrma for me to buy. can you recommend a durable one like in your video?hope you can help me to choose..thanks
Thanks Brother 🤗. The Kraton 6s is a fantastic all-around basher 😍. The Talion truly is as well. While not as great on brutally rough terrain, it's lighter, quicker, and handles better. The Outcast is a wild stunting Beast 😂. All the different rigs have their advantages. It kinda boils down to preference and the terrain you have available. I typically tell people to get a Kraton simply because it's a jack of all trades with loads of aftermarket support. 😎💪👊👊
Hey Rich, I’m having trouble recreating the steering mod on my sledge. I purchase two sets of Kraton 6s steering arms. I put it in the other slot on the Ackerman and used the ball from the rear Kraton arm. The problem I’m having is rubbing on the hub from the composite ball cup on the arm. It’s limiting the steering more than the narrow offset wheels rubbing the arm.
I noticed some binding between the outer ARRMA rod end and Sledge hub (during outwards turning) until moving to the rearward position on the Ackerman 🤔. You might try rotating or angling the outer plastic rod ends slightly so they point upwards. That's how they generally sit on the Kraton. If that doesn't afford you full steering on power, you could consider dremeling or filing the rod end slightly. I didn't need to with my set-up, but that's an option. I'd tinker with the geometry of the rod ends first. Hope this helps Brother. 🍻
Wanted to update this for others as supplemental information.. No matter what angle I had the arms at it was still making contact. I had to file a millimeter or two off the arm end as well as the inside of the hub. But it fully clears now and the steering is dialed! Thanks for the recommendation Rich! Cheers brother!🍻
Thanks so much Brother 😜. The Kraton 6s is a must have in my opinion 😍. Tons of aftermarket support and options. Does everything so well. I'll be ripping the Outcast 4s because I already have (and still love) my V1 Kraton 4s🍻😎💪👊👊
Could you go more in depth on the parts needed and the method to do the steering mod? I am not a fan of the slow and low angle steering of the sledge but don’t have a Kraton to draw parts from and play around with. Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated
@@richduperbash2966 tanx for the answer bro! I’m wondering if I should sell my sledge and buy the kraton instead. So much more m2c options available. What car do you like the most? Bashing and handling wise
@@eiriknielsen3011 I like my Kraton better no question 😍. It's lighter, quicker, and handles better. Definitely has way more aftermarket support. Every RC needs tuning and upgrades, but the K6s is a must have in my opinion. 😎💪👊👊
Mr duperbash, I have a question. I used 1 mill in my Kratom center diff and love it! Thanks for the tip for air control. Second thing. Every time I hit the throttle on my sledge it flips on its lid and pisses me off. Do you thing 1 mill would work for lessening wheelies but have good air control for the sledge?? Thanks man you rock! If your ever in Fullerton ca hit me up I got a spot you’d love
Thanks Brother 🤗. Flipping on the lid constantly gets old quick. You could certainly try 1 mil center in the Sledge and see how you like it. I'd recommend trying smaller wheels (if you haven't already) and dialing the punch down. If your temps allow it, sometimes gearing up helps to mellow out the low down torque. If you're running the stock tires, they balloon more and more over time and do tend to wheely like Mad. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 yes sir, As of now I’m running copperhead 2 with firma 150 and stock gearing. Now that I switched esc I’m going to gear up but I need a recommendation for a fan to use. I’m running gpm motor mount do you have any clasp type fans that work either into receiver or plug into 3s balance port? Thanks man
@@taxpayertroy I'm really not sure what to recommend for the fans 🤔. Gamechanger fans work Killer on my road cars, but I haven't bashed with them. They bolt up to a heat sink. Thunderoos fans also have a great reputation.
I see your jumps and they’re crazy just wondering do you have any tips for jumping because on the 3rd jump of my Hobao hyper SSTE and the rear diff input gear snapped 3 teeth off and I don’t know what I did wrong it happened to my mates minutes earlier if not I’m probably just going to get a exb taillion
Thank you Brother 🤗. Jumping takes practice. Big jumps at high speed can cause major damage if you don't land cleanly, especially if landing on flat hardpack or into another jump face 👀. Take your time being progressive as you build confidence and skill, and learn the limits of your rig. Can't speak for the Habao, but make sure to not land on hard throttle and try to level off and maintain wheelspin with the pace the car is traveling. Breakages happen for many reasons. Hopefully the truck doesn't have weaker gears. It may need bearing shims on the ring gear side bearing 🤔. Habao seems to be pretty good quality from what I've seen. Do your best to land on all 4's. While that's not always possible, it's a good rule to follow. 😎💪👊👊
Kinda funny how arrma competitors need arrma parts to fix some issues. The corally’s had to borrow Almost the whole front arrma front suspension to fix the issues from the links and balls at launch
Yeah it's awesome we can swap parts between the different brands to improve rigs 😍. Says something also about ARRMA's designs and engineering. No they're not perfect, but they nailed lots of details too. 🍻
Rich should I get the sledge or Kraton, this will be my 3rd purchase. I have the rustler and maxx v2. Looking to do lightly bashing. I’m a beginner and I’m trying to get back into rc and my son likes it too, I will be handing the rustler to him and I will be getting another rc. Please help
I would say get yourself a Kraton 😍. It's fully equipped for lighter to moderate+ bashing right out of the box. It's cheaper with better electronics (in my opinion), tunability, and has far more aftermarket support. The Kraton is a better all around value and a must have basher in my opinion 🤗
How do you keep the rear differential gears from getting torn up on the sledge??? I have tried every trick and still tear my rear differential gears..help🤯
Yeah it's unfortunate the gears are monkey metal, especially for the price of this rig 😝. The only thing I've heard that seems to work well is upgrading to a rear Vitavon bulkhead and hardened steel gears. I upgraded the rear ring gear already and have a Vitavon bulkhead on the bench. It's quite costly trying to make this truck right. 🍻
Good vid, fast to the point, just my 2 cents, I'm not a Traxxas nor an Arrma hater but I hate the Sledge... I would like to help people save their hard earned bucks. I bought it with my own money, it is my 5th traxxas car, it is one of the most disappointing trucks from traxxas. There is not enough convenience or R&D into the Sledge to justify the price, only improvement is the sliding body, everything else is a downgrade compared to other traxxas cars. - Battery holder is worse than the one on the xmaxx and maxx, it's loose, it needs body pins, which the car doesn't include, so you have to use 2 stupid body clips just for this car, completely opposite of the "traxxas experience" about full convience and simplicity. - Completely exposed cup boots and center diff/spur, (unlike all their other models) if the sledge sees just a bit of gravel, it will get in and shred the spur gear and the rubber boots. - Tires are an insult to any customer paying premium for this car, the foam inside disintegrates under mild use and 0 water. - The sledge is cursed with loose bolts, they unscrew themselves at will, I have the Kraton 8S and a cheapo aliexpress 1/8 truggy with mostly metal parts and I'm yet to see a single bolt lose on those. All this gets worse when you consider that in Spain, our minimum wage is like 7$, purchasing power is like 1/3 compared to the states, but this car still costs the same, so these 820€ are MUCH bigger deal in this country, heck, this is probably the most expensive 1/8 rtr in the market and it is just like any other 1/8 scale but with a sliding body. If you want a truggy; get the Kraton EXB, if you like simplicity and convenience like me; get the BXL. I very very much regret getting this truck and cannot even sell it, in Spain this hobby is RIP.
Thanks so much for your comment Brother 🤗. I agree 100% the Sledge is completely overpriced. I got one to help test upgrade parts for M2C Racing. Been helping Mitch develop, test, and refine parts for several years. First ever M2C Tekno MT410 chassis (and other bits), then all the available ARRMA upgrades. The Sledge absolutely needs aftermarket upgrades to handle harder bashing. At 800$ USD for a stock Sledge, you really start to question the cost to value for what you get, irregardless of brand. Truly appreciate your input my friend 🍻😎💪👊👊
I love both sizes of Backflips, but the smaller 4s Backflips take some of the weight burden away from the Sledge and honestly get the power down better. This is even more noticable now with the M2C reverse motor mount system and Hobbywing 165O 4985 🍻😎💪👊👊
Yes. It affords far more steering throw, responsiveness, and adjustability 👍. The angles and pivot balls are superior and the truck handles WAY better with slight toe out adjustment. Simple, but highly effective. 😎💪👊👊
I'm running a Hobbystar 3674 2650kv with a 15T and BLX185 ESC in my Kraton 4s and it hauls ass 😱. Especially running original Badlands 3.8's or Katar wheels. 😎💪👊👊
I knew you wouldn't let me down Rich! The thing is one costs alot less then the other. I just can't justify spending 900 on a rc and then having to swap out the electronics and do some m2c upgrades and you're looking at a 1500$ rig. Why do that when I got a exb for much less and let's be honest they are pretty similar in terms of layout and other things
Thanks Chris 🤗. Yeah it's a costly undertaking going the Sledge route. Traxxas claimed it didn't need upgrades 😂 and priced it to the moon. Guess guys are figuring out the disparity between slick marketing and real world reality 👊. The K6s EXB is a better value no question. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Great question. I bought these at Discountramps.com but haven't seen them online for atleast 3 years now 😝. Mine need replacement at this point. Let me know if you find any good ones available. 😎💪👊👊
I don't, but my buddy Dave has had one for years 🤗. The Mojave 6s is a ripper 100%. Very fun, fast, and durable. Not sure why I never grabbed one. I'm thinking seriously about grabbing a 4s very soon though. 🍻
11:46 i could only assume it didnt break anything? HOW? i really with you would go over your cars and give a breakdown of mods you have done, specifically with the 6s kraton. if theres one person on the internet who knows how to mod a car is has to be you. i keep replacing broken stuff on my car and something else always breaks and im not doing half as much with car as you are.
Stock rigs can't handle extreme bashing without upgrades. Maybe for a few bashes without any brutal hits. The stock Sledge motor mount system would've failed miserably already. Junk design and materials equal bad outcomes. Fortunate to have upgrade options that work. 🤗
On a road trip with family 😍. Definitely digging both trucks, but longtimers know the Truggified Typhon is still my all-time favorite 🚀🚀🥰. Might've noticed the sideways jumps and rough landings 👀.
Nice to see you getting lots of love from the basher community ,even Kevin Talbot gave you a shout out! You certainly deserve it Rich.
Thanks so very much Chad 😜. It was Nuts out there in the wind, but we still had an Epic fun time Brother!!! Truly appreciate it my friend. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Dang brotha that sideways landing was BRUTAL 😂 I’m so surprised it made it through that! 🤯
Me too Brother 😱🤣🤣. That bounce was Nasty 👀. I think that cracked my outdrive cuz it let go 2 jumps later. Now I'm packing spares. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Owen 🤗. Absolutely LOVE the 8s rigs too. They're a whole different experience. 😎💪👊👊
This is one of my favourite spots to watch some duperbash air . Sweet as always. Onya mate 👍🏼🤜🏼🤙🏻
@@richduperbash2966 would the steering mod only help with stock wheels? 🤔

The kraton looks so beautiful, I had the green body shell on my kraton 8s but just recently bought the black one, I love it
Woah Woah! what an extreme bash session !💥💥💥💯💯
Rich you are a king of the bash, it's abused these flights but also super well received! I say bravo man! enjoy! Tchouss🤘😉
Thanks so much Nel 🤗. Gotta put a proper test on the upgrades 😱🚀🚀. Aside from the fun, the bigger flights do a decent job of taxing the parts.
🍻😎💪👊👊
Despite the wind we had a blast. We miss bashing with you all but super busy lately. Happy we all made this one. One day dave will come lol
Hope we can connect again soon Brother.🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
killer session! you definitely put the beatdown to it! yall are having so much fun out there! thanks for posting!
Thanks so much Brother Avery 😜. We couldn't have the fun we do without your amazing M2C parts. So grateful for everything you and Mitch do 😍🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Yeah buddy, still holding it down and keeping it real . The air’s get bigger the style progresses and Rich Superbash still reigns supreme
Awesome steering mod Rich! Enough Arrma parts will make the Sledge great 😜😂 Cool to see the Truggified out for a rip 👍
M2C has definitely made some bad ass upgrades to make those sledges super stout!! As always, Awesome video man. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The typhon/ outcast been my favorite also , I have few different variations, the reversed truggify is awesome too , typhon hubs with rpm outcast/kraton arms , bring back some handling on a outcast or a shorter lighter talion
Nice driving…absolutely amazing control

@@lilzeus-rc5410 that's awesome Brother 😱. Big discount too. My 3s rig still has stock electronics with an 18T Robinson Racing Extra Hard pinion. It's got Badland 2.8 tires glued on Proline F11 2.8's. The shocks are 4mm Turnigy Trackstar 1/8 buggy/truggy shocks from Hobbyking (now discontinued I think). I actually have 2 Truggified Typhons.
Sweet sends, moon on the horizon. Def gotta call the Typhon “The Hooker”. ✌️
Thanks Brother 🤗. The Typhon is still my all-time favorite 😍
Same to you 🤙👊🏻
Yeah baby perfect timing bro
When I watch your vids my trucks are normally broken. After I watch them parts are ordered lol
Thanks Brother 🤗. I hope my vids encourage fellow bashers to get out and have fun 🍻😎💪👊👊
Beat down excellence👊💯 I can't wait to get some trucks like this🏁 thank you frfr this $hit epic 🙏
Missle Launch 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀
Can’t believe you haven’t broken those rear hub carrier pins. I snapped mine and you go way bigger than I do…
Love the tips
Maybe I've dodged a bullet 👀. Several guys have busted there's, including 2 of our test team Brothers. Fortunately, hardened steel M2C locking pins are already available on the website. I'm carrying them in my bag now, but will probably swap them on before my next run. 😎💪👊👊
Love the video. You should have more followers

Thank you for the thoughtful response! I’ll give it another go! Blessings, Brother.
I’m just happy you liked the kraton better👊🏻any plans on getting either of the new 4s rigs? Great video brother your a beast👊🏻💪🏻👍🏻🚀😎

@@eiriknielsen3011 I like my Kraton better no question 😍. It's lighter, quicker, and handles better. Definitely has way more aftermarket support. Every RC needs tuning and upgrades, but the K6s is a must have in my opinion. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 looks like Im ending up with a Kraton then💪
Mr duperbash,
I have a question.
@@richduperbash2966 yes sir,
As of now I’m running copperhead 2 with firma 150 and stock gearing.

Team Arrma.... I love my kraton over my sledge all original no hop ups..
@@richduperbash2966 Ty, I just picked up Kraton 6s today. I wanted to try a different brand besides traxxas. Thanks
Wow 😲
💥💥💥
How do you keep the rear differential gears from getting torn up on the sledge??? I have tried every trick and still tear my rear differential gears..help🤯
Yeah it's unfortunate the gears are monkey metal, especially for the price of this rig 😝. The only thing I've heard that seems to work well is upgrading to a rear Vitavon bulkhead and hardened steel gears. I upgraded the rear ring gear already and have a Vitavon bulkhead on the bench. It's quite costly trying to make this truck right. 🍻
Is there Bashing competitions in the RC world?
I've seen comps before, but they're random with mediocre jumps and bash courses. Not my cup of tea 😂
4s backflips suggested?? I’m running 6s backflips
I love both sizes of Backflips, but the smaller 4s Backflips take some of the weight burden away from the Sledge and honestly get the power down better. This is even more noticable now with the M2C reverse motor mount system and Hobbywing 165O 4985 🍻😎💪👊👊
Right on brother, thanks for the insight. Keep up the good work!!

What was the steering mod? The Arrma links on the Sledge or?
Yes. It affords far more steering throw, responsiveness, and adjustability 👍. The angles and pivot balls are superior and the truck handles WAY better with slight toe out adjustment. Simple, but highly effective.

I don't, but my buddy Dave has had one for years 🤗. The Mojave 6s is a ripper 100%. Very fun, fast, and durable. Not sure why I never grabbed one. I'm thinking seriously about grabbing a 4s very soon though. 🍻
Cool, I've been din'n my Kraton 6s exb, but that Mojave looks like a blast to drive. Thanks Rich!
I wouldn't even call your rigs Traxxas or arrma there really m2c lol
Stock rigs can't handle extreme bashing without upgrades. Maybe for a few bashes without any brutal hits. The stock Sledge motor mount system would've failed miserably already. Junk design and materials equal bad outcomes. Fortunate to have upgrade options that work. 🤗
