    THANKS so much for your tutorial❤!!!
    I spent hours trying to get my machine to cut!
    It's a brand new Cameo 5 Plus. I did the tape thing, and it used all the tape. So my registration is really off. I'm not sure what to do to get the machine correct, but then I hit the "Hide registration marks" button, 🎉and I am cutting!

    • @craftymenagerie6191
      @craftymenagerie6191  3 месяца назад +1

      @@KarenLeanneCreates2024 you need to calibrate your machine. On the older models, you unplug the machine, then manually move the carriage all the way to the right and back to the left 3 times. I'm not sure how it's done on the 5, though. There's probably a tutorial on RUclips, though!

    Wow it worked like magic! It’s still a little off but I know I can make this work.
    I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this. Thank you so much you’re literally a genius 😍
    A heads up though, I did this on my brand new cameo mat and when I pull the tape off it did pull the sticky layer off too, pretty obvious but I was rushing 😂

    • @craftymenagerie6191
      @craftymenagerie6191  2 года назад

      I've heard that there are some bad mats floating around. The sticky would just wash off when you tried to clean it, even without any scrubbing. All of my mats are several years old, so I don't have any experience with that, but the painter's tape should definitely not pull the sticky off.

    Hello,
    this is a great video - you figured a really smart way to work around the no registration mark print and cut :) It was great for me , because I am currently looking to start print and cut and I am still looking at tutorials in order to see if I really need the optical eye on the more expensive cutters (because I am currently looking at the cameo 4 pro) and you showed me that it is not a must which I am thankful for.
    By the way your solvent inks caught my eye - is the Epson WF 7710 working good with those solvent inks? You have no problem with printhead clogs and printer is working fine without any additional than normal maintenance?
    Really appreciate the time answering my eco solvent questions and again greetings for the video.
    Have a lovely day!:)

I'm using a printable vinyl trying 2 print & cut a girl with bows I her hair & my kids name & it keeps showing the lines for the girls bows, eyes, lips & I only want 2 cut around the girl. Also it doesn't show any cut lines 4 the insides of the name letters. Like where it should cut out the circle part of the inside of the letters like a, d, e. Do u have any idea of how I can fix this? It's clever to set up the mat's actual cut area by having the machine cut the perimeter tape. When the mat is ejected to clean up the tape, how much position-shift do you get from reloading the mat? Is it pretty accurate? I can see left/right being ok as long as you carefully align with the left mark, but the vertical offset seems like it could vary a bit, depending on how the rollers grab the mat.
