My machine was failing identically to this, and had tried all of the other recommendations from Silhouette and videos. I just finished a support call with a Senior Specialist from Silhouette and I believe we figured out the issue. The new machines use more pressure to hold the mats, so can warp/distort the registration mark and cause it to fail. Holding up the end of the mat higher than the blade while it reads the first mark has seemed to fixed it (newest software version of Silhouette Studio). I did tests with different registration mark settings and in different light settings and so far so good. I was also told to reset the blade carriage by turning off the machine and sliding it left to right 3x if it does fail before trying again. I am hoping this fixes it, since I will be returning/exchanging it if I have any further issues :')

So, I just saw this tip today on the subreddit for silhouette cameo and it super worked for me. *Place matte scotch tape over the scanner eye.* The Cameo 4 was made to have a much more sensitive scanner than the Cameo 3, which is why so many people using it have been having issues consistently getting it to register. This tip saved my sanity today and I hope it helps you guys, too!
I had the original machine (1), and this one (4). I can say I still prefer the original. The 4 has been absolute garbage and give me nothing but problems. It works perfectly one day, then open the same file the next day and nothing works right at all. I hate this machine and regret buying it. I was always solidly in the Silhouette camp, but now I'm leaning towards buying a Cricket. I don't have time to waste on this machine. For the price I paid, I expect it to work right out of the box without having to jimmy-rig it. So frustrating.
I watched all kind of tutorials (about 100) before I buy, then I decided to buy one and now I have this problem and I'm just wondering why I've never seen the clips about this before. Today I've just got my machine and I'm so upset.
I had the same problem, spend a day to find out what went wrong. and then I saw a blogpost, where they say the paper has to go over the grid lines of the mat, otherwise it gives an error. So i tried this and it worked pretty well. So I think that could help you guys too!
My solution was to move de mark (this black square). I printed it with an upper margin of 41mm instead of the 15.88 mm that came as a default value. After that it was easier for the Cameo 4 to find the marks.
Greeting! I had the same problem and solved it by placing stamps (5x5 mm cube) 10 mm from each edge of the paper up and to the left. The lower left mark is also 10 mm from the left edge of the paper. A4 format. You can adjust the size of the stamps in the menu (registration marks) and they must be 10mm long and 0.50 thick. For paper format SR A3 (450mmx320mm) in the menu registration marks, advance setings, (position) set the stamp values: inset- 10.00 mm left inset- 10.00 mm top inset 10.00 mm right inset 25.00 mm bottom inset 26.00 mm
I’m late to the game but I had similar issues and I closed the lid and it worked. I still struggle on glossy paper but anything on flat matte surface works fine.
I have the same problem with my Cameo 4. I have used Cameo machines for years and tried all my old tricks to get it to work. With no such luck. But this time around I noticed with the Cameo 4, that sometimes the alignment and the registration does not happen correctly. What has worked for me is to have the registration mark higher up. Since the Cameo 4 starts looking for the mark so high up. I hope Silhouette fixes this bug. Since the machine should be able to read this mark in many positions.
Hey man, i found out that I needed to load the paper with a slight overlap covering the mat lines, seems like the laser detects the lines on the mat as the registration marks in error...
Download the latest version of Silhouette. After installing it and opening it again (be sure to replace it with the old version), it may give you a message say you need an update and that there is new firmware that needs to be installed. Plug in the usb and check the setting at the bottom of the Send menu, click the button that looks like a printer and select the name of your cutter that has a usb symbol. It will connect and do all of the necessary updates. After that, it should work smoothly😊
Roughing up the top square fixed my issue with failed registration. I just simply scratched the square with my fingernail and now it seems to work fine. Definitely a quality control issue by Silhouette.
I know that this is an old post and that the problem is probably already solved but I still want to share what worked for me. I lifted the back of the cuttingmat while it registered marks, so that the cuttingmat is not bent down when it starts.
This is an old video but the problem remain the same for many user of Cameo 4. To begin with you need to follow few rules. First rule; Who told you that register marks on the printed paper are exactly vertically and horizontally aligned with your printed paper edge? The cameo cutters design to reject anything that is 5% off. You cant lined up the edge of the printed paper with cutting board' left guide line. Every laser jet or Inkjet never loads every paper evenly. You need to measure exact distance from the registration marks to the edge of the cutting board. Second rule; There is a very limited area to measure and register your print from the top left square. This square cant be far from the left edge of the cutting board. Approximately 24 mm from the left edge and 35 mm, from the top of the cutting board, else manual adjustment will be requested. The manual adjust on Cameo 4 is really bad. But it must be lined up with the middle of the left blade to catch on. You also cant print in the dark room and your cutting mat must be supported in perfect horizontal position against the cutting blades.
I know this might be a bit late, i keep having this issue but i found the solution. 1. Move your print near to the edge of the mat, maybe about 5cm below than the grid. Make the registration mark thicker and use inverted mark. Bottom of your artwork must be facing to the printer and must be place to the right side. 2. If still not working, as usual use manual registration. Required a few trial and error, hope that helps
TIP: hold mat up at a 45 deg angle while registering.... or do what i do use my old C3 which also has a repeat button (which i have no idea why they took that off the machine its the most usefully thing if your like me and doing more than 1 of anything)...also i found that the circuit mat (look online how to make a circuit mat work on a silhouette machine) its much much thicker so easier to hold at an angle better (since thicker you will have to change your setting on pressure to less) Hop that helps....liza from Cancun
I am in the same boat with my Silhouette Cameo 4. Even contacted tech support and had no success. Had troubles with my Cameo 3 when I first got it but tech support was able to help me and it still Cut and prints great! So disappointed about the Cameo 4.
Yea this damn machine is making me lose money through the time it takes sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn’t we all need to get a free new one this should be a recall on this machine
Wow i thought i was doing smtg wrong smh mine cuts when it wants. Im lucky i was making a shirt for a family member, had it been for a customer on a time frame i'd be screwed !
I brought the silhouette portrait 3 and been having the same issue. All this money we spend on these machines and have to go threw this it’s a same and Silhouette needs to be ashamed of themselves you email or call tech support and they can’t help you with this issue. We need all send an email about the issue. Maybe they will do something about it. How do we get our Money back. I should have went with the Cricuit. SMH!! TFS!!
I know this is a dumb question - but this Silhouette 4 - is it a printer as well as a cutter? Did you print those bumblebees with the Silhouette 4? Or was they printed with some other printer and the Silhouette 4 is only used to cut them out? Thanks !
Had the same issue and found that if I ran a standard vinyl cut without registration marks that I could run a cut with registration marks and it picked right up. Hope this helps.
My machine was doing the same thing did everything even cut a square in the regeneration mark. Which worked but left every cut askew. Come to find out there was an update that needed to be installed. everything works hope this helped! 🙏
Hi! Not sure if anyone commented this or not or if it will apply to all people having this issue or not. But it fixed my problem and thought I would mention it. In the page set up section under the design tab make sure registration marks is turned OFF. This may not help people doing Print and Cut but it helped my fabric cutting issues. What a frustrating problem!!
You have adjust the registration marks in the studio outward to compensate for the machine error. Try setting the studio registration marks inward, but print the job with the registration mark further out, it should fix the problem.
I found a video just now. You have to manually place the cutting blade over the registration mark manually not the square thing that looks like the reader. It worked! Hope that helps!!!
Hello!! Thank you so so much for this tip! It somehow worked for me!!! Also to anyone reading! if your paper is glossy and the registration marks still cannot be read with this trick, please apply matte scotch tape on at least the square registration mark and it may help for it to be read!!
My Cam was not registering the outside mark and rejected every send. The adjustment below fixed this issue: Design page - (Upper right) Page Setup - Registration Marks - Set Length & Thickness to max settings (.787in & 1.00mm)
I was having the same issue and tried something. I had adjusted my registration marks to the smallest possible setting and I kept getting this error no matter what I did. Today I went and changed them to .50 and ITS BEEN WORKING LIKE A CHARM!!! I was about to throw the machine out the window last night!!! Give it a try to see if helps you!!! Good luck!
@@chingching9181 Try changing your Registration marks Position Inset to 0.50. See if that works for you. You may need to turn your machine off, and then back on. After I made that change, it worked first time. Then I went in and did something else to the file, and when I sent it thru again it failed on the 1st try but worked on the 2nd. Good luck
My machine was cutting kinda ok. The thing is, sometimes it cuts really well but only the stickers at the top of the sheet, and the ones at the bottom not so good. And now it won't read the registration marks. At all..
My issue is the calibration 😡 I’m so mad! I’ve tried everything and every time I do the calibration test it come out fine! But once I try to cut something with print and cut.. it cuts it all bad. It’s so frustrating!
I am having this same issue and I am in the middle of making stickers for another business that has an expo tomorrow morning and it did four pages of stickers just fine and then now it’s giving me this issue constantly I’ve tried this one sheet of sticker paper probably 30 times not even joking I am starting to get really really frustrated with it and mine has been registering the side of the mat as well and I don’t know what is going on with it but I am super tempted to start calling support and see if I can get something figured out I’ve had it for about a year now and it’s been great until now and I mean for how expensive the silhouette is I really wish it would’ve lasted longer than this that’s for sure
After a lot of researching and coming across this video I have found that making the Mat (cameo 4 pro) has to be propped up to keep it flat and it works fine.
My 11 year old figured this out. But now we’re having the same issues as the video here. It’s a pain. Haven’t been able to get a decent print and cut on days
I battled with all the little suggestions for a good half a day. finally i reinstalled silhouette studio and instead of using the bluetooth i used the usb. so far so good. but man these things are frustrating.

This video has been my life for the last 6 hours. I feel like I wasted $300 on a pice of junk... I see your replies to other commenters, and sadly, I bought mine at Michaels and I don't think I have my receipt any more... :(

I had the same think happened to me, but I noticed if the cutting mat has a flaw or a bend it will not register. So I changed the cutting mat to another one I had and work.
I have been listening ti your video while pulling my hair out trying to get mine to register. I took my CBO9 Cutter head off and it had a wad of Vinyl stuck up in the hole the blade comes out, CLeared it now it registers and cuts. I have NO IDEA how the machine registers. I mean I can see no LIGHT that it uses. But WTF!
I had the same issue as everyone else. What helped me was shinning the flashlight from my phone from the inside right of the machine to the left where the sensor was. When I had the light on the front of the machine, that didn't work. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the comment. It seems there are lots of issues here... My replacement machine has no issues at all. It must be bad build quality on dinner units.
Are you still having issues. My SC4 did the same thing and then I tried lifting the mat a little higher then the roller and it worked for some reason. Are you able to test and confirm if you still have your machine?
I've been using Silhouette Cameo for the past 10 years. I now bought 2 Cameo 4 thinking it was going to be better, well, I still prefer Cameo 3!!!, i can't believe they made the worse Cameo ever! I use the Business Edition software and After almost crying for days due to the frustration with the registration marks I decided to try the option INVERTED REGISTRATION MARKS and it finally worked !!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT !!!! 🙃
@@elyssapissa I setup a very bright light directly on the area where the sensor looks for the first registration mark and that makes it work 80%+ now. Have to play with the angle a bit, my cellphone light wasn't bright or consistent enough.
I've been having the same issue. I usually print a barcode on it and do it that way. That used to work, but it's so finicky. It's driving me insane and support is of little help.
The same thing happened to me. Then I watched a video that explains why the Cameo fails. It is because we open several files at a time. You can clic on Restore Marks and only open one file at a time
Finally I found myself dumb enough to find the root cause of my cameo why its failing registration. It turned out that there was a tape on the back side of the cameo which was blocking the mat to go through the machine all the way to the back. Removed the tape, tried registration (auto/manual don't remember) one more time and it worked. I did nothing else. but that was my machine and my issue, may or may not be incase of anyone else.
For everyone still wondering, do not let the mat hang, make it so it at the same level as the sensor and it will work. But a book under the mat to keep it at the same height.
i just got the cameo 4Pro i had cricut thought it was better but im having the same issue as you are 🥺 were you able to figure it out or still same thing
I’m having the same problem, but I didn’t have them before, in a different video they said it could be bc of the software, in the video it said try downgrading . I have yet to try it tho but it’s getting in the way smh
Ok I solved my problem, I think it was Bc maybe I had moved the thickness or something of my registration marks after I had printed it already so it was reading the new one, I doubt this will help you but maybe, goodluck tho
Hi fellow sticker makers. I came across this video in my quest to resolve the same issue as well. I finally fixed my registration problem. Not to long ago I decided to start my own sticker shop by turning my paintings into stickers... little did I know the Cameo 4 would be ??... but I'll put a list of things I've tried which have helped fix the issues (I've never had an issue with low light). I'm sure you guys have resolved the error now but for those that haven't, try the list below. 1. Turn the Cameo off and on along with fully closing the software 2. If it is running off of Blue tooth switch it to a hard wire cable (it may not be getting a strong signal) 3. Make sure the software is up to date (Now for the settings inside the software) 4. In "Page Setup Panel" select "Registration Marks" and turn them On (do not design anything outside of these marks) 5. In "Page Setup Panel" select "Page Setup" then look to make sure your Correct Cutting mat size and Paper size are correct. The machine will not register the mat correctly if it is set to a 8x12 but you are using a 12x12 mat.
Best solution! 100% Guaranteed!!! If the paper is laying bent over, the registration will read a distortion, so you need to lift the paper so that the registration can read the square box accurately. Try it, thank me later.
I was watching this, and tried another thing. I turned off all lights, as I noticed it freaked out with my super bright LED floodlight. In the dark it just worked. On a manual registration. My first ever success. Its now cutting a christmas gift for my neice. I was about to give up!!! Its better in the dark.
I printed out another set of registration on a sticker and stick it without lamination. This solved my mine guys. Maybe the surface was too shiny? The one that failed on me was laminated with gloss. Hope this will help you too guys
This hasn't happened to me in a long time until this morning. I wounded up cut the design out myself. I tried rebooting the Cameo, unplugging it, etc. and it still didn't work. Also, I used a sharpie to darken the marks and that didn't work either.
First turn off your bluetooth. Second those registrations marks are not dark enough. And 3rd you must of moved something in the designer software and didn’t noticed. I had the same issue and the way I fixed it. Was 1st never getting frustrated and keep trying till it worked.
I HATE THE THOSE DAMN REGISTRATION MARKS, FOR ALL THE MONEY WE SPEND ON THIS MACHINE YOU'D THINK IT WOULD WORK BETTER
No doubt! This is the whole point of it! Cricut looks like it sucks too
EXACTLY! Why are we having to change things and fix things to get this to actually work! REFUND NEEDED.

I’m late to the game but I had similar issues and I closed the lid and it worked. I still struggle on glossy paper but anything on flat matte surface works fine.
Thank you! I have a silhouette portrait 3 and + holding the end of the paper did the trick!
Its 2024 and im having the same issue also its cutting not in the shape i wanted 🥺
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is what FINALLY got mine to register.
Hey man, i found out that I needed to load the paper with a slight overlap covering the mat lines, seems like the laser detects the lines on the mat as the registration marks in error...
I just got mine today and I’m having this issue it’s so discouraging I just want it to work
Download the latest version of Silhouette.
I'm so done with them. I've had nothing but problems from this machine. It's been a disaster and they're all but impossible to get a hold of.
I was having this issue but found out if the mat is flat and not sagging it'll read no problem.
TIP: hold mat up at a 45 deg angle while registering.... or do what i do use my old C3 which also has a repeat button (which i have no idea why they took that off the machine its the most usefully thing if your like me and doing more than 1 of anything)...also i found that the circuit mat (look online how to make a circuit mat work on a silhouette machine) its much much thicker so easier to hold at an angle better (since thicker you will have to change your setting on pressure to less) Hop that helps....liza from Cancun
what i do on that black square registration mark is use some black marker and make it darker, and it will cut. Thats what i have been doing til now,
That for me still didnt work
Had the same problem, I just took out the paper, turned machine off and turned back on and it worked perfect
SMH!! TFS!!
Cricut is a migraine as well. I am on my 3rd replacement
I know this is a dumb question - but this Silhouette 4 - is it a printer as well as a cutter?
Did you print those bumblebees with the Silhouette 4? Or was they printed with some other printer and the Silhouette 4 is only used to cut them out?
Thanks !
Sorry I kept referring to it as a printer. It's a cutter. I printed the bees on a printer off cam.
I was having these same issues with my older cameo... I did a test cut prior to hitting send and it worked perfectly!
Thank You so much I'm so glad I found this comment! Lifesaver ❤
I have the same problem Pint and cut is not ready for prime time. I can't believe they are doing nothing to resolve this problem.
10000000000%
Had the same issue and found that if I ran a standard vinyl cut without registration marks that I could run a cut with registration marks and it picked right up. Hope this helps.
Thank you for showing how to do manual! I was about to be so over this machine and Print and Cut!
the only way I was able to have the registration marks read is if you put the sticker sheet on the very top edge of the mat
This worked for me eventually
i tried this as well and it worked for me. I cant get it to work any other way
My machine was doing the same thing did everything even cut a square in the regeneration mark.
B4 or after printing.
I did it after I tried cutting first (20 times 😩) then I turned it off and it worked. Not I make sure it’s off every time.
So print the image first with the marks, turn them off then cut with cutter. Correct
@@gormangraphics not for print and cut
@@rochelle.. its a hit or miss with that
You have adjust the registration marks in the studio outward to compensate for the machine error. Try setting the studio registration marks inward, but print the job with the registration mark further out, it should fix the problem.
I found a video just now. You have to manually place the cutting blade over the registration mark manually not the square thing that looks like the reader. It worked! Hope that helps!!!
That did not work on my case... I had a bad unit. The replacement worked fine. Thanks
Omg thank you!
The adjustment below fixed this issue:
Design page - (Upper right) Page Setup - Registration Marks - Set Length & Thickness to max settings (.787in & 1.00mm)
Thank you. Just turning on the lights in the room fixed it for me.
Good luck!
Terri Mendez which thing to 0.5? Im having tis issue as well..
At all..
mine also, but everything working good after i put the light and turning my cutting mat.
My issue is the calibration 😡 I’m so mad! I’ve tried everything and every time I do the calibration test it come out fine! But once I try to cut something with print and cut.. it cuts it all bad. It’s so frustrating!
Uggghhh
Mine was doing the same thing and I placed my sticker paper on a Cricut mat and it cut perfect
Bought the cameo 4 for 2 month now, this happen to me everyday. Try to invent it
I am having this same issue and I am in the middle of making stickers for another business that has an expo tomorrow morning and it did four pages of stickers just fine and then now it’s giving me this issue constantly I’ve tried this one sheet of sticker paper probably 30 times not even joking I am starting to get really really frustrated with it and mine has been registering the side of the mat as well and I don’t know what is going on with it but I am super tempted to start calling support and see if I can get something figured out I’ve had it for about a year now and it’s been great until now and I mean for how expensive the silhouette is I really wish it would’ve lasted longer than this that’s for sure
In the video, you do not have the Cameo Cutting Mat selected. You need to do that to get the registration to work. Design Tab > Item 3 (Cutting Mat)
After a lot of researching and coming across this video I have found that making the Mat (cameo 4 pro) has to be propped up to keep it flat and it works fine.
SAVIOR. GOD AMONGST MEN!
I hope it stays working...
@@flowingcolor Me too, so far its still working even in a not so lite room. havent tried the bluetooth yet, im just happy i can get some work done. I kinda wonder if it was the software download or maybe there was some updates or something. ??? The program was pretty glitchy originally.
@@tonyasmithburg9147 I stopped using BT just to rule that out. But yes the program can be glitchy too. I'm happy that you're at least up and running.
I never installed using Bluetooth and I’m using USB and still having the freaking problem.
This is exactly what's happening with my Portrait 3. Sigh
This thing is horrible, they need to do a recall
I agree!
@@flowingcolor try this buddy I'm having the same problem as everyone else with the Silhouette Camo 4 not reading my registration marks ! @@Mrjoemarps return it.... that’s what I had to do....
@@flowingcolor i returned it to my supplier for them to check it in actual.. I was there when they try it and it wasn't really working.. So i leave them the machine to check for few more times. They called me the next day and tells me that it was already working. So i get there to see it for myself.. And yes its working.. But when i get back home and start to use it. It doesn't work again.. 😫
did you take the tape of the back? lol i was stuck for like a hour. also need like a foot clearance behind it when its operating
This video has been my life for the last 6 hours. I feel like I wasted $300 on a pice of junk... I see your replies to other commenters, and sadly, I bought mine at Michaels and I don't think I have my receipt any more... :(
I think Michaels has a great return policy. You should try anyway. Maybe find the credit card invoice to show. They are really good. Don't waste your life of it.... I was ready to take a bat to it.
@@flowingcolor Wow, thanks! I definitely have the credit card payment proof in my online account. I appreciate the advice! And yeah, I was about to throw the thing off my balcony, but didn't want to accidentally hurt anyone on the sidewalk below, lol.
@@flowingcolor Good news: I found my receipt and I'm getting my money back. You're a trooper for exchanging yours and getting a good one- I can't bear the thought of putting myself through this frustration again if I wind up with another defective machine. Thanks for the moral support- if it wasn't for your video, I'd probably still be following all their troubleshooting tips between sobs, lol.
@@SarahStephanieLandry I'm glad you found it! Yeah their tech support is not great. Are you getting a different model? Or trying the same again?
@@flowingcolor Thanks! I'm still undecided- what did you go with that actually works? I'm kind of leaning towards just getting my money back, and fussy cutting my designs by hand with scissors.
But WTF!
At least you found that clog. I can see a red light on mine....
@@flowingcolor I have a cameo 4 and can never see any light red or other wise?
I had the same issue as everyone else. What helped me was shinning the flashlight from my phone from the inside right of the machine to the left where the sensor was. When I had the light on the front of the machine, that didn't work. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the comment. It seems there are lots of issues here... My replacement machine has no issues at all. It must be bad build quality on dinner units.
Are you still having issues. My SC4 did the same thing and then I tried lifting the mat a little higher then the roller and it worked for some reason. Are you able to test and confirm if you still have your machine?
I replaced my machine. The new unit has no issues at all.
Did you get the same exact one or did you get the other color way option which is white?
@@davewalts4659 Same exact one, from AMZ.
Go figure!!!
Could not believe it, didn't think it would work but ir did!! I couldn't find any other way...got me outraged! 🤬
Having the same issue with a Cameo 4 myself. Seems like a design flaw in the product that needs to be addressed.
Same thing except I have the Cameo 4 Pro
@@elyssapissa I setup a very bright light directly on the area where the sensor looks for the first registration mark and that makes it work 80%+ now. Have to play with the angle a bit, my cellphone light wasn't bright or consistent enough.
I use a black thin line marker to darken the registration marks. Seems to work better
having the same issue but cameo 3 I'm gonna try everything hopefully something works! wish me luck
Crossing fingers! I hope your get it working
I've been having the same issue. I usually print a barcode on it and do it that way. That used to work, but it's so finicky. It's driving me insane and support is of little help.
I returned it, the replacement works fine. Must have been a faulty cutter.
I added some clear matte tape over the square and that worked for me.
hello, it's the black line on the grid messing with the last. cover the line with the project slightly registers every time now!.
top grid line
I lifted up the paper and scratched the registation mark and it worked :)
i have the same problem with come, i thought i printed it wrong and i saw this video and i figure it now
Try cutting the sheet smaller it worked for me
The same thing happened to me.
My Cameo was doing the same thing and I turned off the marks and it cut just fine
Lol I thought I was the only one.
Welcome to the club..

@@katerinasrbova5442 I can confirm this to be true thank you super stressful glad i didnt open my etsy shop just yet
1. Turn the Cameo off and on along with fully closing the software
2. If it is running off of Blue tooth switch it to a hard wire cable (it may not be getting a strong signal)
3. Make sure the software is up to date
(Now for the settings inside the software)
4. In "Page Setup Panel" select "Registration Marks" and turn them On (do not design anything outside of these marks)
5. In "Page Setup Panel" select "Page Setup" then look to make sure your Correct Cutting mat size and Paper size are correct. The machine will not register the mat correctly if it is set to a 8x12 but you are using a 12x12 mat.
Yes, I’m having the exact same issue. What a piece of mierda. Thanks for your video. I have the 4 in white. What a waste of money.
Try to return it ... Sucks
@@flowingcolor I’m actually way past the return period. I did manage to get it to register manually using a cricut 12x12 mat.
@@frankgarcia4644 man...... sucks
Best solution! 100% Guaranteed!!! If the paper is laying bent over, the registration will read a distortion, so you need to lift the paper so that the registration can read the square box accurately. Try it, thank me later.
thanks, this is the simple solution
Do you have problems with the cuts being *slightly* off towards the bottom right of the page when cutting?
I don't, must be a different issue.
Is this something that happens more frequently on the black Cameo than to the other colors of the machine?
I was watching this, and tried another thing.
I turned off all lights, as I noticed it freaked out with my super bright LED floodlight.
In the dark it just worked. On a manual registration. My first ever success. Its now cutting a christmas gift for my neice. I was about to give up!!!
Its better in the dark.
I have the exact frustrations on my cameo 3. Registration marks keep failing and sometimes it just cuts wrong
I printed out another set of registration on a sticker and stick it without lamination. This solved my mine guys. Maybe the surface was too shiny? The one that failed on me was laminated with gloss. Hope this will help you too guys
Mine was that i used pen marker and carefully traced the reg marks. It works all the time..
But the point is that you should HAVE to do this. The machine should work.
This hasn't happened to me in a long time until this morning. I wounded up cut the design out myself. I tried rebooting the Cameo, unplugging it, etc. and it still didn't work. Also, I used a sharpie to darken the marks and that didn't work either.
mine was failing like this ..... I started it on 1 instead of at the top!! finally got it!! maybe try that!
First turn off your bluetooth. Second those registrations marks are not dark enough. And 3rd you must of moved something in the designer software and didn’t noticed. I had the same issue and the way I fixed it. Was 1st never getting frustrated and keep trying till it worked.
