ok, I have got to say, this was hands down one of the best tutorials I have ever watched on RUclips!!! You are clear, concise, on track....you didn't waste anyone's time with babble, you didn't repeat things over and over, I didn't feel like I needed to fast forward over blah blah blah....you girl are an EDUCATOR!!!! I can't wait to see what else you have to offer, high 5 to you!!!!! Thank you!!!
Ditto what I was going to write! The only question I have is....on the tip about printing only the last line of syars....how do you print only one line? Register, print it, the go back into Design and add all the other items on the page, register again, print the whole page?
Best tutorial ever! Great explanation, concise and to the point, no crazy eye. Took my silhouette out of the box, plugged it in, installed software, watched your tutorial, perfect print & cut, first try. Thank you. THANK YOU!
Finaly a cameo channel with some actual production thank you so much for actually making this channel HAVING ADEQUATE LIGHTS, and to speak clearly and actually show us step by step instead of assuming we just "know what were doing"
This is by far the best print & cut tutorial. There was no popping your lips or popping gum or himming or hawing or long pauses. You are straight to the point and very clear and concise. Most importantly, it is very beginner-friendly. Thank you and I am definitely going to follow you.
This is BY FAR the best tutorial I have ever seen! You are clear and concise with everything you say & do. FABULOUS, thank you. I feel very confident that I will be successful in my print & cut of QR codes for my scan to pay acrylic sign for my FIRST craft show. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your videos, I hope you are still doing them, as I see that this video could quite possibly a year old or better. Thank you again.
you are a blessing. I was literally about to give up! Until your calming way of explaining made me realize that the issue is with my printer setup not my cameo. The way you described how to compare the printout with the cameo layout was the biggest aha moment I had for the past few days trying to figure this simple machine out. Incredibly grateful! Thank you a million!!!
I have had my cameo for almost a year now and have tried to make stickers before but I have finally gotten it to work after watching you!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 🎉❤🎉
I second what everyone else has said, best tutorial on Silhouette I've seen, I think you probably have the best understanding of how the machine actually works vs just knowing what settings to put it on to make it do whatever you want it to do. So good, thank you!!
You are a superstar!!!! Thank you, I watched it once, tried it and it came out perfectly :) Can't wait to add it to my business! Will definitely be watching your others tuts. Looking forward to learning more!
I struggled for 5 hours fighting my machine until I found this video! Took me 5 minutes to get it to work after watching! Thank you so much for this informative, specific, and organized video
Thank you for such a clear and understanding tutorial that explains everything. I haven’t gotten my cameo for yet I’m saving up for one but I really want to get one since I am going to print my own stickers for my own personal use. I appreciate a tutorial like this it is amazing! I am a new subscriber. I did have a question though being from South Africa did they teach you English as a first language? You have very clear and understandable English the reason I ask this is my husband is from northern Africa in Tunisia when we met he knew two words I had to teach him English completely and there was no English taught in his schooling it was just a quick question I had because your English is so clear and defined
You are so welcome! Thank you for your support 💙 English is my first language yes :) We have 11 official languages in South Africa, but English is the main language spoken country wide 😊
I love how you explained everything in this video! It helped me troubleshoot an issue I was having with the bottom left registration mark not printing entirely. It was only printing the vertical line, but I adjusted my inset and that did the trick for me!
Probably the best I’ve seen so far on silhouette tutorial videos. I have a silhouette cameo 4 and it has been a daunting task to get it to do what I intend for it to do. Thank you so much for such an informative video.
Great video! I took about a year break from using my cameo as I had been honing my drawing skills. I opened up silhouette studio and it looked very different to me lol hence why I’m here. I used to use the magnet tool for my drawings to be more precise before, but is it just better to use the print bleed instead? I had no idea print bleed was a thing til today lol.
Hi. Thank you so much!!!!! I have watched so many videos relating to cameo 4 but nobody helped as much as you did. You were able explain everything clearly and thoroughly. I wasted too much papers - I wish I had watched your video sooner.
Thank you so much for your clear explanation on the registration, inset length. my last two cuts have been very good. I’ve had a couple good ones before this but then it went all wrong. your a gem 😊
Perfect, indepth tutorial that explained way more than the other 2k tutorials I've watched today to try and get my first print and cut to work. The key point was not just saying, 'set your page size to this...' but to explain that, depending on where you are in the world i.e. I'm in the uk, you need to actually set it to the exact paper you are using. This may seem logical but there are many times when your told, 'I know your using xyz but if you set it to zyx it will work better'. Thank you, now let's see if I can get the registration marks to be detected correctly!!
Tutorial was extremely informative. I was wondering if it would be possible to have step by step instructions? I"m new to Silhouette Cameo, and my ADHD doesn't help. I'm constantly pausing, rewinding, and stopping to catch up. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I actually just launched a Cricut workbook version of this, and will definitely be adapting it for Silhouette too :) Im not sure when - but keep an eye out on socials or sign up to my mailing list to see when I post it!
I want to print with registration marks and sublimate on a piece of polyester. Do I need to cut the fabric the exact same size of my printed paper or once the cameo reads the registration marks it will cut my design exactly how it’s printed onto the polyester fabric?
Hi Kelly. I have a cricut xplore air 2 and I'm seriously thinking of switching over to a cameo, because of print and cut issues as well as super slow software issues when making pencil or stationary labels. It took me 3hrs yesterday just to cut 1 page of stickers on my cricut because the software took over 35min to load my project and then couldn't find the registration marks, I kept scanning and scanning, restarting the machine and software and eventually it came right. Which machine is better for print and cut in your opinion?
There is more flexibility in the Cameo's print and cut than with Cricut, and as you already have the explore - I wouldnt get rid of it. The Cricuts cut so much nicer than the Cameos, but matless cutting and print and cut is still superior on the Cameos
Registration marks ar the biggest problem in Cameo 4! I/m printing on glossy paper and plotter is blind to the registration marks. I put Schotch matt tape on them and it only reads first square. Then it goes to the next one and IT IS WAY TOO FAST and EVERY time it miss it and registration fails. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Feed rate is just way to fast and is it keeps missing the marks. What a BS. I tried more matt tapes, more light, less light, what not... Failing all the time. Is there an option to slow down scanning speed?
OMG! Thank you so much! I just did my first ever print & cut thanks to you walking me thru it every step of the way! That's a big accomplishment from this long time Circuit user who recently switched over to a Cameo 4 Plus!
The explanation here was so much clearer than others. The voice helps too. Thank you for this. I’ll try it today. I’m new to silhouette. I have a Cricut so this is definitely a learning curve.
Hello, I'm a NEWBIE. Your video for print and cut seems like I can follow your steps easily. I do have a question; Do you have to put your files-design in the library first to be able to use? If so, how do you do that? Thank-you!
Excellent tutorial I have ever seen in RUclips therefore, thank you so much. I getting a Cameo 4 from South Africa. Hopefully will have it sometime by the end of this week. I leave in Maputo - Mozambique. I am sure I will be asking lots of questions once I get started.
Kelly you are a star.....I have had my cameo 4 since December 2020 staring at me I use my cameo 2 for all my sticker cutting and have never attempted print and cut.....and then I heard you made a video only yesterday.....yes yesterday hehe....I'm so glad I did because now I can cut my printed stickers with ease! Your video is so easy to understand and to follow. Thank you for making a daunting task sooooooo easy.
I followed everything and my machine registered the marks. But it’s not cutting correctly. 😭 I don’t know what’s making it read correctly but not cut correctly
Hi! Thank you! - I love how clear and precise you are in your explaining. I did it like you said, but the cut line is around the whole page and not what I needed it to print. I downloaded a JPeg file that has several flower bundles within the page set up. Any suggestions?
Hello, my Silhouette Studio program only allows me to set the page up to tabloid (11x17) and I have to print 13x19. What can I do in this case, it doesn't appear like it does to you (custom) or the others.
Are you talking about inches? You may need to set your machine to the Cameo Plus or Pro to be able to go above 12 inches. I have not tried it though, so Im not entirely sure.
Hi there, many thanks for your video! I struggle with my Cameo 4: put many start on an A4 page and some of the start are inaccurately cut, others are perfect. I noticed bottom right is worse, but actually not, sometimes top left is inaccurate (but with the same cut, middle and bottom is irght). What do you think could cause it? Maybe the autoblade? Or not original Silhouette cutting mat? Thanks a lot in advance (happy to show you photo of the cut results of my stars) :)
It is more than likely an inaccurate registration. Try propping your mat up while it is registering so that it lays flat, even your lighting, and check all of the other steps I explained in this video and you should come right.
I was so happy to find this video. I am trying to print and cut a full page of words on my Cameo 4 and even though I used Print Bleed the cuts are off. Now I'm starting to wonder if I need to convert the text to objects to make this Print Bleed work, so I will play around with that. Your video is very professional and you give very clear instructions. Thank you!
Hi! thank you so much for this video very very helpful!!! I was passing 2 days trying to figure out why my new cameo plus didn't cut and print well. So all the issue was on the registration marks! "be sure to print exactly the same that you see on your computer" when you said this I realized what was going on!!!
Thank you. Just got a Cameo 4 yesterday. I have not done a print and cut yet but feel confident trying so after watching your video. Thank you again. Happy Thanksgiving!
Any idea why some of my font keeps cutting on top of the line above it? On screen everything looks perfect. And it’s all within the cut/print area. But when it actually cuts, some of the words print on top of other words
Wow, Its already 2am here in Ph and I already gave up on cameo4 and I already watch like 20 videos hows and this is the best tutorial for me!! Thanks for sharing!!
Hello there from Arizona. I like the way in teach and show. My Cameo 4 Plus arrives today. Where should I start to learn how to use the Cameo using your videos?
Can u pleaseee please please help me? I'm struggling with my registration since a long and it is really freaking me out at this point...even with the correct print , page and light setup it's not registering at all! And says registration failed even with manual registration! Please help me
Omg. Thank you. Ive been watching and watching videos and nothing. Almost 4 days figuring out this machine. I came from cricut to silhouette and i have thought on going back haha
I do not know anything about print and cut machines and have never seen anyone using one. I am considering getting one for Christmas as I love to sew and craft. Initially I thought of getting a Cricut because that is the only one I have heard of but then I stumbled upon the Cameo 4. Can anyone give me their opinion about the pros and cons of the Cameo compared to the Cricut or others?
Hello great vid, question I have the cameo 3 , I've checked and followed your instructions, have done calibrations , no matter what I try when cutting it never cuts dead on spot always leaves a lil white around some areas , any ideas, I'm thinking of.selling it , thank again keep up the great vids
I followed all the instructions but still can't read the registration mark correctly TT Is it my machine's problem? This question has bothered me many times 😭
I usually print directly from Silhouette Studio yes, if you need to print multiple copies (or find that printing is taking a bit long), you can also print it to pdf first :) Cutting is only available within Silhouette Studio yes
THANK YOU!!!! I have watched so many videos on how to do this. Other videos didn't help as much as yours did. I still kept cutting the material off alignment. Your video helped me successfully print and cut a printed design. 🙏🏽 Si Yu'us Maåse (Thank You)From Guam 🇬🇺 😎🤙🏾
Can you help me? I followed the steps in the video but my bottom i mark only prints the vertical line, the horizontal line doesn’t come out even though it shows on my screen
Check that your blade is correctly adjusting to your cut settings if you are using the autoblade. If you arent using the autoblade you will need to manually adjust the blade depth.
This may be a silly question however how do you just cut the last star on the sheet and not the top image like you suggested. I am completely new to Silhouette however so far I am loving it!
If you have everything ungrouped, you can select all of the designs, select no cut, then only select the one you want to cut, and turn the cut lines on :)
This was an excellent tutorial. Sadly, I'm still having print and cut issues. Part of the page prints correctly, but as the cut job continues, the cuts get worse and worse. It's the same image over and over and my machine is perfectly calibrated (I watched a billion videos on that first). So I'm at a loss. I literally have no clue what to do now. I'm printing on sticker paper if that's the problem? I don't know...
Oh no! This is definitely because the registration isnt picking up correctly, are you using gloss paper? I would definitely suggest only cutting the bottom right hand design first to test if your registration is correct (its the best tell tale sign that its not working properly!) Try a registration with the lid closed, one with the lid open and using your phone as a torch, also try using some matte scotch tape over the registration marks to help with glare. Alternatively you can also try using a sharpie to darken the marks a bit more. Really wish I could help in person, its much easier and quicker haha
I'm beginning to think it just takes the paper in at an Angle... very slight angle, but nevertheless, not perfectly straight? I don't know. At this point I just sacrifice .25 of the print job. 🤷♀️
What I like to do with regards to the Print Bleed is, using the offset as you've shown. However, I search for (or create) a repeating pattern background that fits the motive. White corners are very boring and the print bleed is really nice if you don't want clear borders, but more often then not I tend towards a border looking better. And when the border is nice pattern, that looks really nice! You're not cutting the background of course, that's just for the print. I've printed some unicorn stickers for my mom and used a pink background with a heart pattern as the background. The unicorns look amazing with that border!
@@KellyRossouw oh, no absolutely not, quite the opposite! Show it off to everyone! I'll mail you the example with the unicorn I mentioned so you can take a look at it!
Can anyone tell me y , I don’t get a box saying sett8ngs on print preview , my page is only printing two registration marks on the right hand side nothing on the left and I can’t see a way to change this any help would be amazing
Hi Lynne! What is the size of your media in Studio? It may be that your media is too large, and you need to adjust it to your actual page size. When you click print you will need to click on the "Settings" button to open the printer settings itself - your page not showing up may be because you have the wrong paper size in your printer settings.
Hi Seoul! Thanks for your support! The print bleed is great if you dont want little white bits around your cut item, as it eliminates that possibility, if you do want a white border - rather use the offset feature and disable print bleed :)
@@KellyRossouw one more thing, i didn't see u do "select trace area". if i upload design PNG, should i do "select trace area" first then after i select "print bleed"????
Thank you so much, this is hands down the best tutorial and a lifesaver. The way you explained, the details, everything is perfect!!! Thank you for sharing!
ok, I have got to say, this was hands down one of the best tutorials I have ever watched on RUclips!!! YES!! she is indeed the BEST at explaining things, I usually go to her videos FIRST when I need to learn something. SOOO helpful.
Absolutely brilliant teaching... i hafe been vattling with my Cameo to the point of dumping it in the can. Now i am motivated to try again...
Best tutorial ever!
Great explanation, concise and to the point, no crazy eye. Took my silhouette out of the box, plugged it in, installed software, watched your tutorial, perfect print & cut, first try.

Whatever you are printing, make sire that the sizing is lined up to what you are printing on, printing settings, and settings in Studio!

Im only a few minutes into video and had to come comment. This is by far one of the best tutorials I have seen... thank you immensely!!
Glad it was helpful! And thank you so much
Thank you. Just got a Cameo 4 yesterday. I have not done a print and cut yet but feel confident trying so after watching your video. Thank you again. Happy Thanksgiving!
You are so welcome! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Any idea why some of my font keeps cutting on top of the line above it? On screen everything looks perfect. And it’s all within the cut/print area. But when it actually cuts, some of the words print on top of other words
Unfortunately not 😫
Wow, Its already 2am here in Ph and I already gave up on cameo4 and I already watch like 20 videos hows and this is the best tutorial for me!! Thanks for sharing!!
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for your time your the best 😊
Hello there from Arizona. I like the way in teach and show. My Cameo 4 Plus arrives today. Where should I start to learn how to use the Cameo using your videos?
I dont have as many Silhouette Videos anymore, but you can check this out: ruclips.net/p/PLkpaKJi6XJQICbHqVwAfM6ZYVyXU0vLYd

Aaah I'm so glad!! I LOVE my Cricut, but nothing compares to the Cameo print and cut for sure!
I have the 3 and never used it because it's hard to line those marks up it kept cutting off the image... will this help with the 3🤷🏾♀️
All the principles are exactly the same yes! :)
You can check out that video here: ruclips.net/video/NjiTuLu2Anw/видео.html
Fantastic tutorial. Can you please make a video on registration marks for rolled vinyl? Thank you
Thank you! I'm not sure what you mean, you only use registration marks for print and cut, not at all for anything else.
Hello great vid, question I have the cameo 3 , I've checked and followed your instructions, have done calibrations , no matter what I try when cutting it never cuts dead on spot always leaves a lil white around some areas , any ideas, I'm thinking of.selling it , thank again keep up the great vids
You are so welcome! Im sorry you are still having issue :( Have you checked out some of my other videos on troubleshooting print and cut?
I followed all the instructions but still can't read the registration mark correctly TT Is it my machine's problem? This question has bothered me many times 😭
Not necessarily! Check this out: ruclips.net/video/IH2_mgrZ6kM/видео.html
What a great tutorial.... God bless...

Hope you the best.
Glad I could help!
Helped me a ton! Thank youuu
very informative thank you
Thank you! I bought a used machine (not sure which version) and had absolutely no idea how to get started. Thank you Thank you thank you!
Glad I could help!
Omg thank you!!! This help me so much!!! New follower!! 🙌🏽
Welcome!! and Thank you!
So i should print everything from comeo4 application? And cutting?
I usually print directly from Silhouette Studio yes, if you need to print multiple copies (or find that printing is taking a bit long), you can also print it to pdf first :) Cutting is only available within Silhouette Studio yes
THANK YOU!!!! I have watched so many videos on how to do this. Other videos didn't help as much as yours did. I still kept cutting the material off alignment. Your video helped me successfully print and cut a printed design. 🙏🏽 Si Yu'us Maåse (Thank You)From Guam 🇬🇺 😎🤙🏾
Ahhh Im so glad it helped! Thank you so much for your kind words
Can you help me? I followed the steps in the video but my bottom i mark only prints the vertical line, the horizontal line doesn’t come out even though it shows on my screen
Please check out this video: ruclips.net/video/IH2_mgrZ6kM/видео.html
i just bought my cameo 4 pro and i try every settings and still no cutting deep enough but i can see the design on the paper but no cut. im confused
Check that your blade is correctly adjusting to your cut settings if you are using the autoblade. If you arent using the autoblade you will need to manually adjust the blade depth.
Can you explain how you “increase the light”? Do you mean room lighting or is there a setting? Thank you
Room lighting yes, but no bright sharp lights. Diffussed/soft lighting is best
This may be a silly question however how do you just cut the last star on the sheet and not the top image like you suggested. I am completely new to Silhouette however so far I am loving it!
If you have everything ungrouped, you can select all of the designs, select no cut, then only select the one you want to cut, and turn the cut lines on :)
omg, you are the best of them all. I've watched a lot of tutorials, your video help me print and cut for the first time. thank you!
You're very welcome!
OMG you are genius!! Thank you so much 💕🫶🏼✨
This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you for carefully taking the time to produce such a professional video! Cheers!
You're very welcome! Glad it was helpful :)
I don't know...
this is my same issue with my Cameo 4!! Same image and the cut gets worse as it gets further down the page....
Oh no! This is definitely because the registration isnt picking up correctly, are you using gloss paper? I would definitely suggest only cutting the bottom right hand design first to test if your registration is correct (its the best tell tale sign that its not working properly!)
Try a registration with the lid closed, one with the lid open and using your phone as a torch, also try using some matte scotch tape over the registration marks to help with glare. Alternatively you can also try using a sharpie to darken the marks a bit more. Really wish I could help in person, its much easier and quicker haha
Oh no Irene! Definitely try the same that I mentioned to Elizabeth! Hope you come right :)
Oh my gosh this is such a brilliant idea! Would you mind if I included it in a video at some point? This really is so clever 😍
@@KellyRossouw oh, no absolutely not, quite the opposite! Show it off to everyone! I'll mail you the example with the unicorn I mentioned so you can take a look at it!
Thank You~ The best tutorial....From Brunei Darussalam :D
You are welcome! Glad you liked it!
thank goodness for you!!!! had my cameo a year now and never been able to print and cut, a year, literally a whole year!
Only too happy to help!
My A4 sheets are a bit uneven … so can you tell how should I Align them while placing them 0n mat ? 🥺
How are they uneven?
hye, done subscribe..btw if i do PRINT BLEED, i no need create SAVE AREA on my design at Ilustrator rite????from MALAYSIA..
