@drBerg Out of respect for the channel I will share my take on the list. 1. For the liver we want methyl donors. So spinach over kale. Betaine and omega 3 fatty acids are key liver nutrients from spinach. 2. For IBS ginger is king and best paired with plants from the mint family. 3. If we're going cruciferous, then broccoli sprouts will be the highest in sulforaphane and other nutrients. Please note that iodine is an extremely useful mineral and cruciferous veggies block its absorption. 4. For mucus and phlegm one would resort to NAC or plant extracts such as tara, eucalyptus or olive leaf. Radish sounds like an interesting idea for a nightshade substitute. 5. Nitric oxide can be boosted by many foods. If it is for the antioxidants in beets then pomegranates does a better job at both eliminating ROS and boosting nitric oxide. If it were for the betaine, then spinach would be a more nutricious nitric oxide booster. Beet juice is generally considered as a superior foodstuff to whole beets. 6,7,8&9 are excellent choices for a "super" food list. Garlic practically prevents all cancers and is a telomerase activator for normal cells. Well chosen my friend. Keep up the good work with the channel! You're saving lives.

As soon as I stopped having the beets, I became light headed and avoided going out during the day. Amazing Super food.

Many fine edible weeds around most yards, purslane (sometimes considered a superfood).... I quickly attained a taste for dandelion leaves, they pop up all over, drought tolerant, sun or shade. Excellent mildly bitter green option, like endive say, for salads to sandwiches. You can consume the entire plant root to flower but leaves are most abundant, easy and appealing to me.

I’ve been on keto since April 1st of this year , that makes 5 months. I’ve noticed that throughout most of this time I’ve had trouble with cravings and feeling satisfied. I’ve stayed strong though, no cheating! I also fast for at least 15 hours usually. I noticed when I eat brussel sprouts I am fully satisfied. This is the one food that I’ve had that gets me full. Is there a specific reason for that? It’s become my favorite! 😋
OK this is great and very informative. However can you please elaborate on how to prepare these foods in order to extract the maximum health benefits for example. whether they should be consumed raw or cooked.😃
So interesting ! Our body apparently like those foods which the taste buds don't like! ....Thanks for sharing doctor. Am already including many of the foods above after watching your channel.
i agree, i eat most of these everyday, they certainly take some getting used to, when i first started the mere taste of them made me want to gag a bit, but now i can eat them in a salad or in my eggs no problem.
I take 2 raw garlic cloves on a daily basis as if it was a pill, the only bad thing about it is the smell you start to exude once you build up allicin in your body (you don't notice it yourself, but you bet people around you do!).
gcerpa1980 lol i'm amazed no one said anything to me regarding garlic Odour because I have two on average daily as well. After a week or 10 days it gets a bit too much then I have to back down to one for three days. Does the same happened to you?
I was a _nervous wreck_ about eighteen months ago. I was strung up like a violin and I kept wanting to cry. I started with a calcium magnesium zinc supplement. Then it grew from there. Now I'm in a great space.
Italian (broad leaf) parsley is used sparingly in countless dished I grew up with from soups to stew and olive oils so as to infuse the flavour when preserving or serving foods. When cooked it’s also delicious and quite sweet earthy and delicious. I often like to lightly fry some off with the onion and garlic when preparing a dish, it adds great savoury and earthy depth to dish’s. Thanks for sharing your videos Doctor, thoroughly enjoy your passion. Hello from Australia!
Steam the kale for 20 min then throw some peas on top just to heat up. The whole thing goes in the blender with a cup of milk and then back in the pot for another low heat 10 minuted. Delish!
I don’t know if I breached all superfood decorum but I literally just made a superfood salad with every single item on the list in their raw form, chopped then topped off with an apple cider vinegar/olive oil/Italian seasoning dressing. In this moment, I’m either the healthiest human on the planet or I’m about to have the death runs...😂
infuse the garlic in olive oil to make your salad dressing, chop the rest up and throw them in the salad and top with a bunch of hard boiled eggs and cheese.
Egg is the number 1, the greatest food ever. It has almost everything that life needs, from there the chick is born, unfortunately Dr Berg missed it for the list :D
Bitter guard is an excellent vegetable that you can find in Indian groceries. Bitter guard juice and fenugreek seeds soaked in water are very good for contolling diabetes.
Dr Berg, bitter gourd is also rich in potassium and in India, it is advised to and used by diabetic people. It also makes into your list of super food in this video. Ivy gourd being other one which can make into your list as well.

Besides parsley, asparagus and brussel sprouts I consume everything on this list at least 5 times a week. I take Turmeric every day. I'll start taking parsley more often.

I eat 6 out of 9 of these superfoods daily. Yay, for me! ☺
FinestInstinct wow, good on u. I wish i cud take in at least 3
I eat 5, I cannot find kale or brussel sprouts in my city
Nice
@MrJotunheim And yet, he/ she must have a good fit figure as his/ her diets are vegetables-based/ -holistic. 🥬🥦🥬🥦

Use smoothings and you can get them in there.
Asparagas, Garlic, a pinch of pink salt, a small pat of butter. Yum.
I m going increase surely my knowledge every each recommendations you give us Dr know I have it! Fresh in my mind .Thanks ,lot
He missed out brocolli sprouts and nasturtium leaves. Few people know that nasturtium leaves are a wonderful natural antibiotic.
OK this is great and very informative. However can you please elaborate on how to prepare these foods in order to extract the maximum health benefits for example. whether they should be consumed raw or cooked.😃
LoL... Just Eat EM 🤗
Blend it
Amanda Rossouw
Raw is best ! Either way !
Hi, you can check Dr. PERLMUTTER RECIPE BOOK. BYE.
Amanda Rossouw
Use a Ninja blender! My guess is eat them mostly raw with toppings.😋
This guy should have his show on Netflix
So interesting ! Our body apparently like those foods which the taste buds don't like! ....Thanks for sharing doctor. Am already including many of the foods above after watching your channel.
Exactly
i agree, i eat most of these everyday, they certainly take some getting used to, when i first started the mere taste of them made me want to gag a bit, but now i can eat them in a salad or in my eggs no problem.
Halil Kocoglu maybe i am weird i love the smell of garlic lol
I was a _nervous wreck_ about eighteen months ago. I was strung up like a violin and I kept wanting to cry. I started with a calcium magnesium zinc supplement. Then it grew from there. Now I'm in a great space.
Thanks for all you do to bring great useful knowledge Dr.Berg!! You bring so much conflicting and confusing advice to a cohesive understandable core!
Honey, olive oil, cinnamon, chocolate and ginger.
chocolate??? i think you are on the wrong channel
@@viktorristov3323 cacao is real chocolate. And it's got a unique and powerful nutritious profile
Use grinded raw garlic or tea tree oil to heal fungal infections (ring worm, jock itch)
I'm Intermittent fasting and Dr Berg your making me hungry.
😂 None of us are normally hungry while IF.
I just started mine.. And I'm feeling good!
@@bobmarley9712, it was pretty good actually. And I’m not sure but I suspect I don’t need to worry about nutrition for a year…😂
Dr Berg is the only trustful Dr out there God blessed you always
Thank you sir! Your videos are so helpful to recognize what we can eat in that jungle of toxic foods we are surrounded by.
infuse the garlic in olive oil to make your salad dressing, chop the rest up and throw them in the salad and top with a bunch of hard boiled eggs and cheese.
Egg is the number 1, the greatest food ever. It has almost everything that life needs, from there the chick is born, unfortunately Dr Berg missed it for the list :D
We need real Doctors like Dr.Berg
??
Spinach should be in there.
And broccoli in my opinion.
Spinach no 11
Bitter guard is an excellent vegetable that you can find in Indian groceries. Bitter guard juice and fenugreek seeds soaked in water are very good for contolling diabetes.
Kale (salads) & garlic are two of my favorites. I'm thinking I may need some asparagus before tonight's Cubs game:)
Thanks Dr. Berg....
🤣😉
Cabbage is sweet when steamed. I love it
"Anything bitter is really good for your liver." You heard it here folks. Beer is a super food.
My ex wife was bitter. Didn't do my liver any favours.
I said that to my wife. Nice hoppy IIPA 😉
Lol
Thank you, you and your wife are good people. We, your Followers appreciate you.
My tank is empty - can you asparagas?
Dr Berg, bitter gourd is also rich in potassium and in India, it is advised to and used by diabetic people. It also makes into your list of super food in this video.
Ivy gourd being other one which can make into your list as well.
Beet greens are even better than the bulb itself, and people throw them away. What a waste!
I grow them specifically for the greens. They keep producing all season and into winter. Carrot greens are good too!
Can the beet greens go in a smoothie?
Paula D
Sure, but the taste is "funny", resembles a little the spinach flavor. For me it's OK since I like the bitter flavors (I even add lemon juice to it).
@@gobigrey9352 ooooo that's great info. Thanks!
