There was nothing quite like playing this game on the full 6-player cabinet with every character going in the early 90’s. The beat-em-ups from this time like X-Men, The Simpsons, TMNT, and TMNT Turtles in Time will just never be matched. I’m so glad that I grew up during when they were around. Some of the most fun I ever had as a 13-15 year old kid.
Nothing like being the first one to the cabinet and then random players see you and walk and join in on the fun. Or waiting your turn to be on the team after someone is out of quarters. Great times I had with this game.
Or having a crowd around you watching as you kick ass. I got laid like that once. She was pretty hot, too. Felt like a Rockstar. Won't get that playing online.
At 13:10 I saw that entrance and immediately burst out laughing as Pyro's dramatic entrance was cut short but all 6 of them immediately ganging up on him before he can even finish talking.
they gotta redo this game like they remade streets of rage 4 and TMNT Shredder's Revenge, redo simpsons while they are at it, those remakes are incredible and this one deserves it
5:08 I love that in his bio he’s Canadian but in the failed “pilot” and Spider-Man and his amazing friends crossovers they have him be Australian and oddly enough in the movies they have an Australian actor to play him ironic isn’t it
I got this game on the PSN for the PS3 and my sons loved it of course with unlimited continues i just used Colossus power move and always had at least a hundred kiil lead lol
I remember playing this, then there was the Toy Biz action figure line, then there was the launch of the new Chris Claremont/Jim Lee X-Men #1 and my local toy shop was giving it away with the varient covers, then the Saturday cartoon on FOX- What a time!
When we talk about Konami arcsde beat em ups, we usually bring up X-Men, TMNT, TMNT Turtles in Time and The Simpsons Arcade, but you also need to include Violent Storm, Metamorphic Force, Monster Maulers, Asterix and Gaiapolis which all deserve to be mentioned in the same breath. And of course for Sega there's Spider-Man The Arcade Game, Arabian Fight, Altered Beast, Bucky O'Hare, Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder, Moonwalker and the 3D ones: Spikeout Final Edition, Slashout and Die Hard Arcade. For Capcom of course you got Final Fight, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Captain Commando, Battle Circuit, The Punisher, Alien vs Predator, D&D Shadows over Mystara For Data East you had Captain America and the Avengers, Night Slashers, and Robocop 1 and 2 For Winky Soft, you had Dengai Makai 1 and 2 For SNK you had Mutation Nation, Swngoku 1,2,3, Gaia Crusaders For Rare you have Battletoads and Shper Battletoads For Technos you had Double Dragon, River City Ransom, The Combatribes and Shadow Force For Taito you had Superman and Growl For Brezzasoft, you had The Crystal of Kings And for Banpresto you had Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon
Magneto - "X-Men, welcome to die"! - X-Men (Konami Arcade), 1992 Deadpool - "Magneto, welcome to die"! - Marvel Vs. Capcom 3/Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, 2013 (Now, if you all do not know why that is significant, well, in addition to Deadpool being aware of this game, due to his fourth wall powers, there is also the additional fact that he was one of the few mutates, rather than naturally born mutants, to become a part of the X-Men. Moreover, there is an additional fact that I neglected to mention, namely, he was also among the few X-Men members to be villains before they became heroes, with the other significant members that filled such criteria being Polaris, Mystique, Emma Frost [a.k.a., this version of The White Queen that is in this video game that is on this video], Spiral, Rogue, Juggernaut, and, yes, even Magneto as well, so, yeah, half of the roster that is in this game ironically became members of the X-Men in the future).
I loved this game at the time and I think I will continue to love it with total nostalgia. After seeing that episode of X-Men'97 in which Jubilee enters the Mojoverse, do you think the franchise will join the current revival of pixel art beat'em ups?
Considering that X-Men Legends I and II, and the Marvel Ultimate Alliance Trilogy, all exist, and that there is the LEGO Marvel Trilogy, those are kind of hard to top in the terms of X-Men video games.
This was the only Konami arcade game that had two player, four player, and six player versions. Also, this game came out in a somewhat altered form for the Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 where, yes, you could play up to six players as well.
Although the game is awesome, it's non-cannon. Long story short, Magneto was pushed way too far by evil humans and he felt like he had to fight back any way he can.
This game should have had a part 7 by now. With maybe 3 remasters between the sequels, and a rebuild from ground up of parts 1-3 by this console generation. WTF Konami??
Last one of these I saw was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles turtles in th synchronized if you could do all the great sides scrolling arcade synchronized keep it coming we love it
Yes X-men is a classic arcade game in 92. Im running original here. Not much point in enhancing original arcade games they run in a very low resolution. I have a couple of shaders i use on games that need them. This game didnt really need them.
This was based off a pilot that eventually evolved into the cartoon series. So it’s very similar to the animated show we’re now familiar with but has odd differences like that.
This was one of my top 5 favorite arcade games!! I would go to the batting cages when i was a kid and end up playing this more then i would practice my swing lol
It’s never an X-Men 6-player playthrough without Colossus going “WHHOOOOOOOOAAAHHHHHHH!”
I would pick Colossus for that reason alone!
@@whysoserious-vt4hf I honestly wouldn’t blame you!
And how about going through an arcade room and hearing: Nothing moves The Blob!
A total invitation to spend money on this cabinet...
or playing as Colossus doing a 1 hand face grab and over the shoulder toss of an enemy or doing a five knuckle beat down on a downed enemy,
Instead of music I want to have that sound effect played at my funeral
There was nothing quite like playing this game on the full 6-player cabinet with every character going in the early 90’s. I totally Agree.
Add into the mix Bucky O'Hare and Golden Axe.
What about WWF Wrestlefest's Royal Rumble mode?
agreed. Also add Cadillacs and Dinosaurs to that.
and no mercy! i shall show no mercy ! now get ready!
Love how even playing with 6 simultaneously, heroes still kept dropping like flies. What a quarter-muncher.
These guys are amateurs. My friends and I would never get tripped up like this.
@@carlosgonzales2333Yeah I'm pretty sure there's just one guy.
The playing isn't great.
Wolverine alone would be unstoppable
Oh the pain of being the last player to join and getting stuck with Dazzler.
*PYRO WILL TEA-* (entire group just starts wailing on him)
Flashback to my high school days where boys would do the Colossus yell at random. It was one of the most entertaining ways one could get in trouble.
Nothing like being the first one to the cabinet and then random players see you and walk and join in on the fun. Or waiting your turn to be on the team after someone is out of quarters. Great times I had with this game.
Or having someone give you their spot because they want to be a nice guy.
As did we all my guy. As did we all
Or having a crowd around you watching as you kick ass. I got laid like that once. She was pretty hot, too. Felt like a Rockstar.
Won't get that playing online.
13:14 Pyro will t- (everyone punches Pyro)
😂😂😂😂
Didn't speak completly. 😂😅😂
Ill never forget playing this at chuckee cheese with five other kids, standing for two hours trying to beat the game lol
This game has the best of the best X-Men in it...and also Dazzler.
Could've been Iceman, or Beast, they go with Dazzler. Never got it.
At 13:10 I saw that entrance and immediately burst out laughing as Pyro's dramatic entrance was cut short but all 6 of them immediately ganging up on him before he can even finish talking.
same. 😂
Ok, X-Men, you will- AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!
Ahh yes, Colossus with his energy spark and Logan with his adamantium laser blade.
It was amusing at the time that they gave Wolverine an energy power he didn't have, But now he has his 'Hot Claw' ability.
Storm had a great screen clearing mutant power. Magneto's Engrish never ceases to crack me up!
Welcome to...DIEEEEEE!
greatest arcade game of all time
Juggernaut, possessing the terrifying mutant power of GUN.
Yes, giving him Megatron's arm cannon was certainly a choice
they gotta redo this game like they remade streets of rage 4 and TMNT Shredder's Revenge, redo simpsons while they are at it, those remakes are incredible and this one deserves it
I wish.
Pizza shops havent been the same since.
I miss this game so much, it was on the PSN 10 years ago. But it was removed, I wish I could play it again
Amazon has emulator boxes like the Super Console X that have it preloaded for MAME on most versions.
15:01 X-Men. FEEL IT!
5:08 I love that in his bio he’s Canadian but in the failed “pilot” and Spider-Man and his amazing friends crossovers they have him be Australian and oddly enough in the movies they have an Australian actor to play him ironic isn’t it
It just works.
I used to play the heck out of this at Lamppost Pizza in The Santa Clarita Valley. X-Men is one of my favorites ❤
0:24 Magneto ripped a hot, stinky fart and he's so proud.
Lmao
Nothing moves the blob!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. hahahahah. Great game and as always fun to watch!!
😂😂😂😂 they should make a rap remix of that.
“Nothing moves the….”
“WWHHHHHHHOOOOOAAAAAH!”
@@Iamtemjin Hahahaha I think you might be on to something!
my childhood game😍
I can finish this game over and over again with one token to play😊
I first played this with my cousin back in 1992. I was always Wolverine and he was Nightcrawler.
one of the best multiplayer arcade game. Enjoyed spending a lot of tokens on this.
11:00 - Here Come the Hero... Save the World from destruction! They are... *X-MEN!*
I got this game on the PSN for the PS3 and my sons loved it of course with unlimited continues i just used Colossus power move and always had at least a hundred kiil lead lol
Mags: These X-men and their synchronize fighting must be stopped!!
42:05 the best line ever to be mentioned in the game
It’s so funny when one character is desynched makes them look crazy punching air 18:09
I remember playing this in the arcade
I used to beat this game whether it is 6 play or 4 play in so many places, from Downtown Newark at the Amusements to Chuck E Cheese.
The only reason my xbox 360 is still plugged in today is to play this game. Classic arcade quarter cruncher🙂
The fact that at least two X-Men podcasts (Battle of the Atom and Cerebro) use audio from this game says a lot about its influence in X-Fandom.
I remember playing this, then there was the Toy Biz action figure line, then there was the launch of the new Chris Claremont/Jim Lee X-Men #1 and my local toy shop was giving it away with the varient covers, then the Saturday cartoon on FOX- What a time!
Cyclops and Storm just walking and punching is so weird.
I remember playing this on arcade with my sister back then! Oh my gosh we spent a lot of coins to end this game 😂
You know they're super heros/heroines when they wear their underwear on the outside 🤣
Thats how i enjoyed it in the arcade 6 player 2 screens.
I remember as a kid just thinking Cyclops' blast compared to Colossus and Nightcrawler's special attack was just lolzy.

“Nothing moves The Blob!”
Pyro is just Beavis if he never met Butthead.
Hard to believe Konami made a game based on an unaired pilot.
Omg, Magneto's dialog 😂😂😂
Has the Juggernaut ever used a bazooka!?!?
Once but it was banned due to a political assault graphic
YOU ARE HELPLESS AGAINST MY POWER X-MEN!
X-Chicken!
Can we a X-Men game in which Storm is so broken that she gets 15 nerfs and she is still broken?
I never had enough quarters or time to beat this in the arcade
Dazzler was the best. The most fun. Yes I said it. She's powerful and strong. Underrated.
Magneto cries in despair and embarrassment...
Cries harder when he realizes she's not Jubilee.
@@BrokenDiety1 "I'm not the master of magnet, I'm the master of idiot!"
I’ll never understand why juggernaut was holding a big ass gun.
Yeah it looks like Optimus Prime’s weapon!
Bro must have been at the arcade and seen wendigo and thought ( Pokemon) 😂😂
Wish Konami had made this game for the snes similar to what they did with tmnt
haha this is cool bit of a buttom masher but pretty cool to see it 6 player co-op👌👌
Id love to re-play this
Good graphics and animation
21:50 you're welcome
wow didnt know this game could be played in 6 player mode nice job 👍👍
In the Arcade yes.2 screens .

why does juggernut have a bazooka? why not... understandable have a rad day

Maaaam, a 9 year old Drizzledawdler sure did have a crush on Dazzler.
All those Sentinels and no Gambit
Too Soon????
This game 🎮 needs to be on the Nintendo switch that would be cool 😎 yo
I'm happy emulating it.
With an emulator you can play 6 characters at once. You can't do that on the switch. You wold have to play with 5 other friends
@mazengwe28 how can I play this on my phone?
Downloading it
Playing this on my toaster right now.
Spent sooo many quarters on this and never beat it.
Lol @ the Thumbnail. Juggernaut with a gun. Why? Just because.. sometimes I get tired of smashing things with my fist.. Time to switch it up.
I love how there was hesitation in bothering to include Dazzler. NOBODY likes her.
me, who doesn't read comics: 22:11 who is that guy?
unknown guy: WENNNNDIGOOOOO
me: alrighty then
did you play this locally or online?
Why does Juggernaut need a missile launcher? 😀
Quick question that I'm struggling with: Does anything move The Blob?
Pyro Flame 🔥🔥🔥 crash 🚓🚓🚓🚨🚨 defeated
DAZZLER FTW!!!
Wowww yesssss!!!!
never heard of this game before, and why does it look so good, is this enhanced or original arcade graphics?
Yes X-men is a classic arcade game in 92. Im running original here. Not much point in enhancing original arcade games they run in a very low resolution. I have a couple of shaders i use on games that need them. This game didnt really need them.
...Nightcrowler.
the loss of life from using special was the worst part of this game should of never been in design
💯❤💯
Good show
The intro sounded like a long fart in midi format
👍that's different
Why was such an obscure character like dazzler given a slot here?? There were So MANY other x men characters that could have taken her spot ngl
This was based off a pilot that eventually evolved into the cartoon series. So it’s very similar to the animated show we’re now familiar with but has odd differences like that.
They should separate from each other so the boss can’t run.
Welcome to die and Magneto dies The End
sentinels and juggernaut a lot harder fight in the comic
Best trash game ever in my life
This was one of my top 5 favorite arcade games!! I would go to the batting cages when i was a kid and end up playing this more then i would practice my swing lol
"6 player"
WELCOME TO...DIE!!
29:21
*Dazzler, keeps getting her azzzzzzzzzzzz kicked* !!!
Cyclops lost the most lives out of everyone.
lol
34:10 Wolverine would not have fallen for this nonsense. who writes this shit lol
Nightcrawler could of teleported them up too!
Keep in mind:
Storm chooses not to fly throughout the whole game, and Wolverine never heals himself.
