X-Men: Children of the Atom (Japanese: エックス・メン チルドレン オブ ジ アトム) is an arcade game that was produced by Capcom and released on the CP System II arcade hardware in 1994 in Japan and in 1995 in North America and Europe.
Based on the X-Men comic book, it is the first fighting game produced by Capcom using characters under license from Marvel Comics. Released around the time of the mid-1990s X-Men animated series, the game features voice actors from the series reprising their roles.

I'm 47.. played this game to death and i was always decent at Capcom fighting games... the only reason I clicked on this was because of the 4k 60. I wanted to see how it looked... to my surprise I stuck around all the way through for the ride . damn, you're badass! this was fun as hell to watch. not only did I watch, but I had to take the time to post this. but I'm also pretty stoned so, anyhow lol, this was awesome skill!

Still the hottest Marvel comic book character imo. Olivia Munn was a disgrace of a choice for the live version in X-Men: Apocalypse. Karen Fukuhara (the boys, suicide squad) would have been a MUCH better and closer choice.

Capcom should release HD versions of all their old 2D arcade hits, perhaps put them all in one big collection. I'd buy that, as long as it's not crazy expensive.

Awesome come back on that last round. It's crazy that the "tech hit" still didn't kill you with your bar already gone. I always got whomped in this game. The only one I ever beat was X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

1994 was probably the biggest Golden Year for capcom - Super Street fighter 2 turbo, considered the definitive version of the game, the first Darkstalkers game which started that franchise, Aliens vs Predator Arcade, and this game - the origin of the marvel vs capcom series.............I remember seeing this arcade cabinet for the first time totally blew you away....flashy supers, multi-hit combos, flashy graphics and a polished presentation.....wonderful music...
so fun x-men : children of the attom 1994 arcade - with colossus !!!!
When times were so simple and easy. Getting $5 in Quarters and staying in the arcade for hours.

It's amazing how well you play with Grapples, knowing the right time to attack and apply grabs to the opponent.
First RUclipsr that actually plays with grapplers and USES the grabs efficiently while fighting cheap level 8 CPU... Grappling chars always were left behind due to being really hard to use...I myself tried playing as them in the past but could never get the hang of using 360 without jumping and ended up getting punished.... only one I was able to use was Goro daimon due to his grabs not needing 360 input for his throws....
@@eyn85 I agree with you, he really has already demonstrated in several different games here on the channel that he knows how to play efficiently with Grapples.
I love using spiral, storm or psylocke here.

Back in the 90s nobody cared about this game cuz everybody was stunned and hypnotized with VF3 and ScudRace.

Colossus and Sentinel were the only two characters I could not beat Magneto with when I had it for PC. I struggled with them being too slow in general. Psylocke was the easiest.
Colossus vs Juggernaut would be awesome in a movie. Somebody should make that happen
