Streets of Rage 2. At number 2. In a supposedly Arcade list. So this is just bollocks then.
The biggest (gaming) crime of the 20th and 21st Century...never releasing Golden Axe: Revenge of the Death Adder (arguably the best of the series) outside of Arcades.
Wow. Stopped visiting a real arcade around 1993 so there are so many great arcade games I have not seen before shown in this video. Even back then the graphics were amazing and the gameplay top notch. The golden age of arcades.

Looking at the list, it’s sad that some of the games are going to be forgotten. We need HD remakes and remasters of classics to keep the genre alive. I miss Cadillacs and dinosaurs and alien storm too.

Fightcade 2, can play arcade games online, plenty of beat em ups, shmups, fighting games etc
I loved the WWF wrestling as one the best games ever made even tho graphics not great but good for the time .. the way they did so much with what they had .. game play isn't super complicated but the everything U needed with the signature moves from every character to the boss fight with andre the giant .. fighting outside the ring And jumping off the top rope .. if only we could if had full roster of fighters and the royal rumble added it be so cool. Played this so much back in the 90s . I can't wait for the rematch !! Add the fact you could play with 4 players incredible. So many games today have incredible graphics but no where near the incredible game play. The fact U can download this entire game in a few secs is so hard to believe. How they could do so much with such limited hardware. ..
Haven't played half these but im still playing SoR2 30 years later and it still kicks ass in every department
Great list of beat em ups but who else believes that Konami should do a beat em up collection and that Capcom should do a Beat Em Up Bundle 2 with the games shown on this list other than seven they did from the first Bundle. Here's what the Beat Em Up Bundle 2 should include:

Agreed except that minus _Knights of the Round,_ though, _Cadillacs and Dinosaurs_ is the most overrated beat-em-up ever made, no matter how hot that chick might be imagined, in real life... Still, it’s like 125MB, so why not throw it on the pile. Glad _Battle Circuit_ made the first collection, not that it affects me...😊

_Battle Circuit_ is the most underrated beat-em-up, ever. Collecting food, experience, coins with which to buy or enhance powers, ridiculous (in every sense of the word) regular enemies and bosses (including the one for whom you work), and overall story. Add in that there is a bonus ending-if you score a certain number of points and buy enough powers between stages (or collect enough coins) through the game, then you get to fight what simply explodes, if you don’t do sufficiently well through the boss before that bonus boss-and you have everything a fighter needs, and more. Five _very_ different characters with unique powers and play styles, and you have one of the biggest chin strokers for Capcom arcade cabs that never made it outta Japan-or in the top half of “best arcade beat-em-up lists”-especially considering the entire game has not a Kanji character typed in the dialogues, homescreen, or end credits, to top it all off... 🤔

Great list. So many of my favorites were on it. Final Fight , Xmen , TMNT. Good stuff 👍 You should do more lists in different categories.

I absolutely will. I’m a gamer from way back. I’m currently obsessed with older 16/32-bit 2D games. And modern retro-style games. Capcom Arcade Cabinet , Genesis Collection , Enter the Gungeon , Streets of Rage 4 , etc. Anyway , yes , I’ll check out your channel.

The arcade version of SOR2 was released on a special version of model1, named megaplay. This board adapted not only SOR2, but other sega genesis games to arcade versions ! There's an european version in The link below...a few increments only...

How you not have TMNT & X-Men on your top 10? Violent Storm over TMNT? Crazy
As a TMNT cartoon fan I also loved that game playing 4 players in the arcade with 3 friends was so much fun until the money ran out lol. That's the only problem with arcade games they start of pretty easy but the difficulty can ramp up so fast designed to keep you feeding in the money !! But now with unlimited free credits I can finally finish a lot of these games on the mame emulator to see all the bits of the games I wasn't good enough or rich enough to see 😂😂

Golden Axe 2? As far as I know that was Mega Drive only, not an arcade release.

Love to see all these great games But Streets of Rage 2 is better than Final Fight.
It's always been controversial, what's better Streets of Rage 2 or Final Fight. Both have had legitimate arguments. But moveset/level design/Music SR2 wins. Final Fight wins on graphics and sprite size. Both are great games.
I highly recommend Sailor Moon. Of course, the Mega Drive and SNES games weren't that good, but the game made for Arcade in collab with CAVE looked surprisingly solid for me.

Shodow over mistaria should have been way above some of the others but again my opinion nice list though
Back in the arcade days, Double Dragon, Vendetta, Final Fight, Knights Of The Round and Warriors of Fate and Golden Axe were definitely for me the best. Now. Mother Russia Bleeds and definitely Skinny & Franko: Fists Of Violence or The Takeover maybe but 99 Vidas was cool as well. The rest bores me.
Do anyone here knew a Beat 'em up from early 90's about a blonde man fighter and a dark haired Kunfu master? With sprites as big as Final Fight's.

Konami had some of the best beat em ups, they should've included crime fighter's essentially since they included vendetta, and golden axe 2 and streets of rage 2 are not arcade and they weren't released in 1993 either.

Was SOR2 an arcade ?? … I have it on my Mega Drive … I did hear they repackaged Mega Drive / Genesis hardware and games into time based arcade machines so I’m guessing this was one of them 🤷

9 is too low for this long time best arcade beat em up. It was shown in the big screen and was 3 tokens when it was new. They put several more cabinets of this game. It means this game was INSANELY POPULAR during the mid 90's. It was still played until the 2000's. Not a lot of players playing this game but I can still see the interest. Final Fight was revolutionary in its year of release but not deserving of the top place!
One game is missing in this video but i forgot name of that game, that game is like snow bros but in that game one duck throwing bubbles from his mouth player 1 duck is blue and player 2 duck was green plz if anyone knows game name write here...
