All time favorites:
Gauntlet I & II (1980s) and Shock Troopers 1 & 2 (1990s).
I love Retroarch and Mame. Could not live with out my retro games. Great channel.

Sunset Riders is probably my favorite side scrolling one, and Shock Troopers when it comes to the 8-direction moving ones. It's weird that only the 2nd Shock Troopers, which I find inferior, is here, but hey it's not my list. Good choices in general, though. I also have to mention Bay Route, a great Contra "inspired" one.
Pretty good list. I would have had Ikari Warriors, Black Tiger and Robotron on that list.

El mejor de todos los tiempos es sin dudas metal slug (todos son buenos) otro que es tremendo juegazo es gunforce 2 . Shock troopers , sunset riders , desert assault tambien son de lo mejor

You expect SNK games to be there but Data East had a few. PS I didn't play Arcade games I felt self Conscious playing them. Played them at home, but not ran and guns.

Most of these aren't run n gun but platformers don't know why they're on the list. I guess just to get up to 50. I will now unsubscribe from the channel.
