  • I just picked up my first mountain bike, an Ibis Mojo 4, and I love it! We drove to N+1 Bikes in Louisville, KY, since they are one of the top Ibis dealers in the nation. This is my 3rd mountain bike ride ever, so I am learning basic bike handling skills. I've got some new gear that I am testing out along with my new bike- some deity deftrap pedals, some five ten mountain bike shoes, a new fox helmet, and some new fox gloves. This video takes place on the Canal Loop Trail in Land Between the Lakes, which is located in West Kentucky.

    That's a good quality bike. i'm still a student, but the fork of my dreams is the Pike you currently have on your Mojo 4. Nice video, nice rides, keep on rolling!!

      I got an insane deal on this bike. I’m thinking they discontinued the Mojo and this particular bike shop had it marked down quite a bit. I bet you will have this fork before you know it! :) Thanks for watching!

    Hey Aspen, great vids! I just bought a new Terra trike Spyder from Scheller’s Clarksville. I love it. I have ridden a road bike for over 40 years. I lived in LA for 30 years. Watching you and your dad riding on the beach from Entrada Drive to Venice Beach brought back memories. I have ridden that path a thousand times. Good luck on the trip this summer. Where are you riding?

      I loved riding along the beach!! It was such a nice bike path! We couldn’t figure out why nobody was at the beach. We stayed in a hotel that night and apparently there was a huge sewage leak and the beaches were closed ha!!! We are planning on riding the Washington Parks Loop through the North Cascades, the Olympic Peninsula, and Mount Rainier. I’m excited!!

    I noticed the same paint markings on the trees to show where the trail was that we saw in Tennessee at David Crockett State Park. That was useful in November as the ground was full of leaves. It looked like some tree spacings were just about as wide as your handle bars!

      Thanks for watching!! There’s definitely a couple of places where I have to watch for the trail or it disappears in the leaves, haha.

    Congrats! The Mojo is a fantastic bike! I test-rode one with a focus on its climbing ability, and it was outstanding. My friend has/had a Mojo SL frameset which accommodates/d 26" wheels and which he spec'd with some very high-end components which, back in the day (maybe around 2008), cost over $9,000 in total. I hope you have many years of fantastic mountain biking adventures on your new Mojo!

      Thank you! I’m loving it so far. Definitely still building up my confidence, but I’ve already improved a lot! I’m going to try to incorporate more mountain bike videos into my channel as I improve! I love it! Thanks for watching!!

    I was checking your channel to see if you had more touring videos and I was surprised that you only have one other video. You did such a great job on the other one that I was sure that you had more from your other tours. That being said, it's not a matter of if but when you fall on your mountain bike. Knee pads will be your best friends. Please record your AZ trip. I'm planning on doing a section of the Southern Tier trail from Tempe to El Paso this fall.

      Thank you for the compliment! I have some video footage from a Katry Trail tour and I’m hoping I still have the footage from the C&O and GAP tour…I’m planning on going back and making those into full videos…unfortunately no video footage from my TransAm tour. I’m going on a tour around Washington State this summer so I’ll for sure have one for that ride!
      Very new to mountain biking…I’m currently putting a video together from mountain biking in AZ but not sure how interesting it will be since I’m a newbie. I’m definitely more of a bike tourist.
      Thanks again for checking out my videos! Southern Tier is on my list!

      @@aspenswanderings I did the GAP/C&O a couple of years ago and the Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany last fall. I love watching other people's tours almost as much as riding my own. I'd love to see some Katy Trail video. I hear great things about it. I'm hoping to to the Delmarva soon and then a section of the Southern Tier. next Fall. I look forward to seeing your next adventures. I have videos of mine up if you are curious about the Erie Canal. It's a great trail.

    Looking at getting a Mojo4 bike from N+1. How tall are you? What size did you get?

    • @aspenswanderings
      @aspenswanderings  Год назад

      I’m pretty short- I’m only 5’2” and got a small. I know some other people who are 5’4” who have said they also ride a small. My husband is 5’11” and rides an XL in the Mojo 3, but I think the geometry has changed and I bet he would be a large in the Mojo 4. Hope this helps!

    • @philip3642
      @philip3642 Год назад

      @@aspenswanderingsthanks. With the people who are 5’4”, how did the small feel for them? I’m in between sizes and no where by me to demo.

    • @aspenswanderings
      @aspenswanderings  Год назад

      @@philip3642 They were happy with the fit! I’ll also tell you- at 5’2”, I can barely stand over it comfortably. I think I’m closer to 5’3” than 5’2”. I’m sure at 5’4” the small would be a good fit!

    • @philip3642
      @philip3642 Год назад

      I’m 5’5” and read both sizes work. I’m coming from a mojo 3 in medium with fit. Mojo 4 is longer so why I’m also considering the small. No demo to try.
