I’ve been cycle touring around Asia with my girlfriend the last year and there’s a huge mountain bike (mainly XC) scene in the Philippines. These forks are so popular out here, except for the locals they’re a luxury fork, not entry level as they would be in the UK. To put it in context, a teacher in the Philippines earns around £3000 per year, so it’s brilliant that there are low cost, functional products that people around the world can just about afford! Nice video as always Sam.

Had it on mine too, heavy bike.. one jump and it broke on one side... It broke off! Didnt plant my face in pile of rocks luckily... Bought used rockshock for 150 bucks and 4 years later its still intact+ its way stiffer and much much smoother. Now the rear wheel is cooked...
Sam is one of the best MTB riders in the world. He rides so smooth, the fork doesn't actually see that high loads - not even on these bigger jumps. Further he can reduce the loads on the fork by landing with more weight on the back wheel. I don't mean to discredit the fork. But Sam is not a good everyday average person tester for this fork. Sure it makes for a good video but the fork barely gets any hits at all. And that is simply down to Sam not wanting to risk getting injured.
I have this same fork on my dirt jumper but branded as "Bucklos 32" that I bought as a placeholder until bike parts could come back in stock, it's been 2 years of street, dirt and pump track usage and the only issue I had was that my lower caliper bolt got stripped. This fork is very impressive, I didn't think it would last as much as it did, now I'm thinking of instead buying a used fox or rockshox (can't afford a new one, they cost 6 minimum wages in my country), I'm actually going to buy the "36" version of the same fork.
Hey Leo, ¿cómo solucionaste el problema del tornillo del caliper?¿Te colocaron un inserto de bronce en la horquilla o cómo fue? Gracias por tu comentario, lo tendré en cuenta también, kudos!

Replaced my forks on my ebike with some Airbike branded forks. I'm sure they are the same as these, except they're matt black with the burred gold-ish stanchions. They came with the brand stickers to apply yourself, so obviously they went in the bin. They look quite stealthy in plain black. Had them a year and cannot fault them at all.
NIce test, but in my opinion riding down a rocky trail with multiple small bumbs would stress the fork more than those smooth slopestyle landings....was fun to watch...
I purchased some off brand Chinese forks when I was trying to start my own MTB import brand.(I actually was offering a $2200/ 23 lb XT equipped carbon hard-tail with hand built wheels) I tested a few forks. Some were good, some sucked. The biggest problem I ran across was the coating on the stanchions. It would wear off.

A lot of the issues with these super cheap aliexpress/amazon air forks isnt the product itself but the quality control. I have two bolany 26" forks and one is bombproof, been riding it hard for over a year, zero issues. The other came with a rattle inside and it leaks air. And reviews and experiences from others show the same thing. When theyre built right, theyre perfectly adequate forks, an air fork really isnt that complicated of a part. But since the quality varies so heavily, sometimes you get one thats just put together poorly and breaks easily. If these companies ran the same QA as rockshox or fox or whoever, theyd be making completely viable budget alternatives.

I guarantee the company making these forks is also making forks for major bike companies as well, and just making their own, allowing people to cut out the middleman who is raking in thousands, and paying the company building them 90 bucks a piece, then selling them for 500-1000% more.
I've taken apart quite a few of these forks and the design they use is similar to suntour. But, the quality varies since it appears that there's 2 different variations of these forks being sold. @1:09… Pikey!!! 😂
the wheel spoke design and tire knobs wristband are pretty cool will get a SB05K103 and hopefully it'll give me Sam's courage to send it
I might have to buy a full face helmet..just in case ^^
Im def buying this and btw i love your vids you inspired me and on my birthday im getting a new bike cant wait😊😊😊😊
Hi nice video. Maby a dumb question but how do they break? Do they break in half or do the shocks just dont work anymore.?
And Have a nice day 😁
I love these types of videos!
Surprised the forks stood up to it tbh, that said your ability on the bike undoubtedly flatters them compared to mere mortals!!
Yeah you really can't beat the price
To be honest, 91 quid is a descent price on Ali express. Truth is that a pair of Suntour fork with 120mm only costs roughly 90 quid in China(it varies in types, but it is normally less than 200 quid)
Love it! Thank you for sharing!
Just don't forget when you buy cheap quality control will be spotty at best. Some will get great forks and some will get bad batch that snap when you look at them wrong.
Pasak is an okay brand. I got 3 pairs of wheels from them. Really cheap and light but they work.
