@Catholic Firefighter I'm sorry if English isn't your first language but the models you're talking about are "long range" and "standard range" variants which are slower but they aren't "performance" variants such as the "model y performance" or "model 3 performance" or even "model s performance". Out of all the "performance" variants Tesla makes the model y performance is the slowest. The 2021 model 3 performance and c8 corvette have the same quarter mile times and Dragtimes has a video of them on the highway.
I will totally trade a Tesla in for a Trackhawk no cap, but that is just my opinion I guess... Well I would like Model Y family functionality, so instead of Trackhawk, I would probably trade the Model Y for a Durango Hellcat...

At $100k it’s a bargain. It looks like a Ferrari, sounds nasty, and finally GM made a beautiful interior. If GM makes a $100k Z06 and $120k ZR1 it’ll be game over. . As it sits, a $70ishK z51 with a supercharger is nasty fast. I hope they bring back the 427cid small block and cam it to run even more rpm. 750hp naturally aspirated, 520ft lbs, rev to 8k rpm with the same torque per liter as the 6.2.
The Tesla Model 3 is a tad bit cheaper than the Model Y...but the 3 is faster! I'd be curious to see if the difference is enough for a Model 3 to beat the Corvette.
3 also has more range than the model y. But it's a bit less practical. You're not getting the hatchback or the third row (albeit a small one) in the model 3

Pretty sure the slowest production BEV is just as fast or faster than the fastest production FCEV. The fastest BEV would finish a drag race in at least half the time it would take an FCEV.
A model Y pulled up next to me at the light tonight. Murdered out wrap, lowered, blacked out tint pumping music. He lined up right on me, then kept inching up and up got like a good 1/2 a car' in front of me - obvious he wanted it but i knew i had it so didn't really want to race. I won't say no though. i was gonna let him get the hit if he wanted to go. I just pulled off normal so did he, but once we hit 30 he hit it he got about a car jump until i reeled him around 70 then it was bus lengths after that. Very unimpressed. He wouldn't even give me a thumbs up as he passed and i turned off lol :(

When launch control is all wheel drive😂😂🤣 I think since the model Y is sub 3000-4000 lbs if you pulled the seats out and as much else as you could I think you’d pass it up no problem at all even though that corvette gradually builds up speed it does it quick, I think you’d need a quicker launch due to weight on the Tesla

I can see either comparing a 3 or an S performance to the C8 if you squint a little on either end (the 3 is way less, the S is considerably more), but not the Roadster. That comparison just doesn't make sense. It costs more than double and doesn't exist yet.

Tesla drag coefficient is at .23 which is pretty good. Those 21 inch boat anchors don’t help in the acceleration department! My 2021 Y performance came with those 21 inch boat anchors. Elon put them on the car for looks not performance!
Mentioned in the video, but I really would have liked to see a 'stoplight' race. The Corvette in Sport mode, no automated launch control, and the Y just as it was. I think the Y would embarrass it off the line with the all-wheel-drive and instant torque, while the Vette struggled with traction.
Funny thing watching the Z51 C8 and driving one on California 91 octane at Ron Fellows corvette driving School near Los Vegas at 2,690 feet above sea level my C8 Stingray without Z51 and on 93 octane has significantly more power and pulls stronger then the popular Z51 option on 91. I am operating at about 1,100 ft above sea level and definitely don’t miss the 5 horse power or the parts warehouse you carry around in a Z51! Anyone else had an opportunity compare the two very different version of the C8? I know now that in 2021 the Z51 option makes you about $5,000.00 lighter and the Stingray at a top speed of 194 mph is about 10 mph faster then a Z51, other then looking really sharp I don’t see the advantage! I don’t need two sets of wheels and tires to drive my C8 on wet or icy winter roads either!

They should show it in every video but they don't. The SOC was only 197 Miles or less than 65% which does make a difference.

I just bought the model y long range and got the downloadable acceleration boost. I traded my Jeep Trackhawk for it. No regrets and very fast.

When launch control is all wheel drive😂😂🤣 I think since the model Y is sub 3000-4000 lbs if you pulled the seats out and as much else as you could I think you’d pass it up no problem at all even though that corvette gradually builds up speed it does it quick, I think you’d need a quicker launch due to weight on the Tesla

I understand cross shopping to the Model 3... But an SUV vs a 2-seater...I dunno man. For what it's worth, I get it... I love the C8, but own the Model 3. In the real world it's just so much better, but it's hard to quantify passion vs practicality. I have other passion outlets... but if I didn't, this would be an incredibly hard decision.

I'm deciding whether I want to replace my everyday car I use for Rideshare with one vehicle, or just get another car as my fun car. I don't think it's unusual for car Shoppers to look at different styles of vehicles. I'm not sure what all the Uproar is about LOL. I was also considering getting a Tacoma TRD Pro pickup truck

I can see either comparing a 3 or an S performance to the C8 if you squint a little on either end (the 3 is way less, the S is considerably more), but not the Roadster. That comparison just doesn't make sense. It costs more than double and doesn't exist yet.

Tesla drag coefficient is at .23 which is pretty good. Those 21 inch boat anchors don’t help in the acceleration department! My 2021 Y performance came with those 21 inch boat anchors. Elon put them on the car for looks not performance!
Mentioned in the video, but I really would have liked to see a 'stoplight' race. The Corvette in Sport mode, no automated launch control, and the Y just as it was. I think the Y would embarrass it off the line with the all-wheel-drive and instant torque, while the Vette struggled with traction.
Obviously that didn't have the ludicrous on it because it would for sure dust even a mid engine c8

Funny thing watching the Z51 C8 and driving one on California 91 octane at Ron Fellows corvette driving School near Los Vegas at 2,690 feet above sea level my C8 Stingray without Z51 and on 93 octane has significantly more power and pulls stronger then the popular Z51 option on 91. I am operating at about 1,100 ft above sea level and definitely don’t miss the 5 horse power or the parts warehouse you carry around in a Z51! Anyone else had an opportunity compare the two very different version of the C8? I know now that in 2021 the Z51 option makes you about $5,000.00 lighter and the Stingray at a top speed of 194 mph is about 10 mph faster then a Z51, other then looking really sharp I don’t see the advantage! I don’t need two sets of wheels and tires to drive my C8 on wet or icy winter roads either!

MSRP is just a suggestion. Dealerships don’t go by MSRP. To them, that’s the baseline price. For hot sellers, they will max out their profits. This has been the story for decades. Dealerships scalping Hellcats got into trouble auctioning their one Hellcat per month allotment to the highest bidder.
