Very true. Beyond the name the C8 is really no longer what you traditionally think of as a Corvette but a true world class entry level super car fully competitive with a 911 & 911s. You really give up nothing and unless you seriously upgrade the interior the C8 is just plain nicer and more luxurious.

Once the 500 miles comes up though the training wheels are off. What was already pretty impressive turns into a monster and even moreso when put into track mode. I don't think enough people mention the seats. For reference my car is a Z51 with mag ride in Long Beach Red with black interior and GT2 seats. @Rubedo Alaberti You really spelled it out. The C7/Z06 is raw, somewhat unrefined beast. Anybody why drives a C7 knows it is not a car for the wet (at least the base C7). Blip the throttle on a curving on ramp and the back end is going to come lose. The C8 is a punch in a velvet glove. Everything is just far more refined and luxurious. When the Z06 C8 arrives I don't think there will be anybody singing the praises of the C7 version. The fact that on public roads the C8 can probably best a C7 Z06 says a lot. The fact that it can do it with a far less skilled driver says everything.

Informative and fun to watch. Could you list where the video was filmed? Looks like an area I might enjoy taking a road trip to! Thanks.
