Thanks for making this video, I had the same error on my f80 and for some reason I swear it was the wheel speed sensor. Installed it and got that chassis warning and even did a edc start up in ISTA. And now that I watched your video and you said vertical wheel speed sensor and it’s actually that sensor on the strut. I just went back to a screen shot and it said vertical so now I feel dumb and relived to finally know what to replace lol.
I Have got this same problem on my F22 M235i. Scanner tool showed front left Vertical accerlation sensor. Replaced both sensor and cable. Cleared the codes, still giving the same error. Could it be something else? The fault happned while driving in the rain
mine only comes on after a launch when my wheels spin (550i xdrive) and after i dismiss it i don’t get the warning till my next launch. any idea what it could be?
Did you need to replace the wire as well or was that just over kill for the video? Im trying to decide if i should buy just the sensor or both wire and sensor.
@@hondata05 I havent cleared the codes, I still have the same issue, I need to take it in a repaor shop to clear codes, did u clear it? My Obd sensor does not connect.
You’re ignorant. Every modern car has one. It’s to prevent you from swerving all over the road, flipping over and then dying. Has nothing to do with over engineering. It’s a simple sensor.

Have the same issue on my 440 thanks for making this video!

Thanks for the video very informative. Did you have to clear the codes once the sensor was fitted or did it go away by itself?
Thanks
Went away on its own 👍🏻

@@learthasani6875 you could get away with just the sensor.
Who much did this piece cost you? Can you provide the link?
Will this work for an i3 ? I'm having the same fault, after getting tires changed.
@@ashneelprasad5625 you might have something else going on. I would get the car scanned.
True you need a code cause most times it’s the rear wheel sensors
I got my car scanned and left sensor is faulty, I replaced left sensor but not right sensor. Im still getting error.
@@JTRoadz if you in fact replaced the correct sensor, I would try clearing the codes
Did you manage to sort this I have the same issue but have not yet cleared the codes
@@tuned_auto I did replace, cant clear codes with regular Obd Sensor.

@ I cleared my codes with insta last night still have an error. Did you replace the cable with the sensor ? It says you must do it in the insta notes
does this error cause poor ride quality?
No change in ride quality. It will just disable your ability to change suspension stiffness with EDC
@@jovhansingh2145 For me it does, Suspension gets super stiff and feels like suspension going to break in potholes.
Ugg I’m having this same exact problem
Had no idea there was a vertical acceleration sensor! Sounds like a little bit of German over-engineering
