So many key details are wrong.... Jane wasn't out riding when she first meets Mr. Rochester, she was walking. HE was riding. The Rivers' home wasn't near Thornfield at all, it was a journey of 36h and open moorland. Her uncle's role in the whole marriage is important, Mr. Mason's visit to Bertha... the drawings are really nice .

I honestly that it would be boring but it was SO GOOD. Also this is one of the scenarios where having 4 wives being allowed would have not been a sin to marry Mr Rochester even though his first wife is still alive but insane. Only reason she didn't marry him was because it was not allowed in Christianity. Ending is bittersweet. His wife finally died and he didn't kill her, she did it to herself. Jane finally gets to be with Rochester but a crippled one. I can imagine how happy he was when Jane came back. I love the way Rochester speaks. I like how she agreed he was not handsome and he was ugly lol

    Great summary and illustrations. 👏👏👏
I can’t believe how a book about a young woman marrying an old dude who lied for so long is any modeling book, but I like that the story covers all her life. Jane basically was used to confusing abuse with love the poor thing.

Read the book well the only reason he lied was because he didn't want scare her away but his wife was crazy from the beginning the wife's family hid that from him until her first episode which was after the marriage. She is not only unstable but also harmful to other but he didn't cast out as he would have been allowed to he kept her family and her reputation intact so yh I get why it's a modeling book.

Mr Rochester doesnt deserve Jane, If that author wanted Jane to end up married i think It would be better to have basically a "Second male lead" that would be First in the audience's heart and in jane's

My mom is forcing me to read this book which is 540 pages. I have already read 20 pages and its so boring... Our teacher Told us to read this in 10 days which i dont believe is possible, so i decided to watch this video. After telling my mom that i dont need to read it cuz i already know what it's about she started to yell at me and told me to finish it in 10 days. I just dont understand why my parents are so strict.

I think children should find their own way to these old books. Parents can encourage them and give them a guide but the rest is upon the child.
The process is slow but when you find books you like and start reading it will slowly guide you towards other books. I though that I would never enjoy Shakespeare for example. Once when I was in library I grabbed just for fun Romeo and Juliet and started reading it in library without intention of borrowing it. After 10 minutes of reading I find myself enjoying it and had borrowed it. (I ended up reading more by Shakespeare afterwards)
So when you want to enjoy the book give it a try and if you don't find it interesting try something else and give it a try few years later.
For example if your teacher wants you to read books from 19 century try different ones first. I really enjoy Pride and prejudice for example. In these years Strange case of doctor Jekyll and mr hyde or Sherlock Holmes were written if you enjoy detective stories.
It's really all about the way. Of course sometimes the book just doesn't fit its reader. Then the reader shouldn't forse himself into reading. Try different book from the same author. For example I'm not able to read any book from Jules Verne except The journey around the world in 80 days. It's all about the taste.
I hope this will help you with your reading journey.
