    UPDATE: Brooks had the incorrect drop listed for the StealthFit on their tech sheet. The drop is 10mm just like the rest of the Glycerin line.

    I got the Glycerin 20 GTS only because they were the only ones at Macys that were all blacked out for some plyometrics, jogging, and calisthenics work. And I found out holy crap they’re the most comfy shoes I own.

    Been a Adrenaline GTS guy now for 4 years or so and probably 8 different pairs. I tried these on at Dicks and was like whoaaaa these much softer and was very interested. Decided not to buy because I'm a firm believer in the GTS system and at the time didn't know they made a pair with the GTS. Well, I soon found out they did and bought immediately ha. Went on one run so far and haven't done much else. I look forward to seeing how they stack up to the Adrenaline. Thanks for the video

    Hi, I don't know if I pronate more or not. I have just started training/running, heavyweight, height 1.85cm. Not looking for race or long marathons, just for daily 10km walk plus intermittent runs. Which would you recommend? GLYCERIN 20 REGULAR, OR WITH GTS? And apart from Glycerin, which shoe? Also considering Speed 3. I could buy two pairs, if it would help. Thanks!

    I currently use the Ghost 14s as my easy day / long run shoe. They're nice but feel a bit boring sometimes. How do the Glycerin 20s compare to the Ghosts? Thanks for your review!

    • @Aurelian57
      @Aurelian57 Год назад +5

      Having run in both new/old Ghosts and new/old Glycerins, the Glycerin will have more support and comfort. I find that the Ghost isn't farm behind but more firm. The biggest difference I see is that the Glycerin just has no energy return. For instance, it is horrible to do a really fast sprint day with the Glycerin and it is effortless with the Ghost. The ghost just continues to propel your foot forward when getting tired, while the Glycerin just gives up. However, I felt the Glycerin held up better over 400 miles versus the Ghost that started to break down in the 100s. This is just my personal experience, others may vary.

    • @pierre4405
      @pierre4405 Год назад +1

      @@Aurelian57 Thanks for this! I ended up buying a pair of the new Glycerins and have definitely found them super comfortable (but not that much more than the Ghosts) and that they cannot accelerate.
      I do prefer the 10mm drop over the 12 mm one though.

    Does the GTS version have a gusseted tongue? AFAIK, Glycerin 19 didn't have gusset while 19 GTS had. I am wondering if it is the same in 20 vs 20 GTS.

  • @NonLegitNation2

    I'm trying out the regular Glycerin 20 and the Asic's Gel Nimbus 25 with Amazon try before you buy. I was going to go with the stealth version of the glycerin but I really can't wear those sock/bootie type shoes with no padding in the tongue because I like to wear my shoes tight and the laces dig into the top of my foot with those really thin tongues. I get both the Brooks and Asics shoes tomorrow so I'm pretty hyped. I don't run I just like really comfy shoes and both of them looked really cushioned. I'm going to keep which ever one is more comfy and return the other one.

    • @NonLegitNation2
      @NonLegitNation2 11 месяцев назад

      @@laoluomisade2438 I kept the Asic's Numbus 25, it's WAY WAY more comfortable then the Glycerin 20. As a person who wears a ton of different Adidas Boost, Nike React and Nike Zoom sneakers the Glycerin 20 just does not stack up, it's not even in the same ballpark in terms of comfort. To me the Glycerin 20 felt like a normal hard uncomfortable EVA foam shoe.

    • @grey5135
      @grey5135 9 месяцев назад

      @@NonLegitNation2they are both Amazing shoes but it depends on your weight. If you are under 190 lb I would say that GEL Nimbus 25 is the best. If you're over 190 lb you're not going to find anything better than the glycerin. I'm 6'3 225lbs and I bottom out super plush cushion shoes like theGel Nimbus.. . But heavier people need a foam that can handle their weight and that's what the glycerin is amazing at. But if you're not a heavy person they would just feel hard to you because you don't have enough weight to actually compress them. If that makes sense. Both great shoes just one is better for a certain size person in the other is better for another size person

    • @NonLegitNation2
      @NonLegitNation2 9 месяцев назад

      @@grey5135 I 100% get what you're saying and you're absolutely right. I'm 6'2 175lbs, the Gel Nimbus felt amazing. It is easily the comfiest shoes I've ever worn and I've worn a ton. The Glycerin felt like a regular crappy EVA midsole shoe. And that's most likely because, like you said, I'm not heavy enough to compress the foam. I've recently srated trying out New balance fresh Foam shoes in different models. Currently my favorite is the NB More Trail 4, it is a tab bit firmer then the Gel Nimbus but still extremely comfortable and it also has the same thick chunky foam midsole as the Gel Nimbus.

      @@NonLegitNation2I bought the Glycerin 20 and I find it quite bouncy (I'm 75kg / 165lbs). In fact it's the bounciest shoe I've ever owned, way more so than e.g. the Nike Pegasus 40 react foam. Night and day different. It's nothing like a typical EVA foam in my experience. The older versions were but the 20 is quite different I thought?

    I'm looking for a pair of really good shoes to go on walks / jogs / light running in (I have a bad knee and chronic pain) but that are also cute and aesthetic (I'm single so I need to look cute because you never know). I bought the Hoka Clifton 8's from reading good reviews, and they are just TERRIBLE for me. The right shoe on the inner part cuts into my foot, feels like I have a big rock in my shoe (I don't even have wide feet). I really like the look at the Glycerin Stealthfit, should I do it? Are they good for knees?

      I have 2 pairs of Glycerin 20s, one of them is a Stealthfit. I find that for casual wear and a good walk or light jog through the park I prefer the Stealthfit version. They're just a bit lighter and feel a bit more breathable. If you need to lock down and run, the regular version can't be beat.
