Real Prince fans will appreciate everything that went into this, great job, it just let me know that he meant just as much to others as he did to me. Prince Forever!!!
I'll bet Prince is watching this with pride and joy to have his music still inspired and presented with such conviction, just the way he would sing it live, Beautifully done as always.
I sang on the Massey Hall stage twice in the 1970s. Our hugh school Senior Choir was invited to participate in the Ontario Music Teachers' Association annual concert. The accoustics are simply amazing.
I'm sure if there were a way to capture all of the tears that flow from the eyes of those who watch this beautiful video, the world would have a purple river.
The chord right at the end ... Canada, it seems, is able to relax in the moment and feel its perfection. Beautiful ... Thank you from one who needs it in the US.
I have to agree. The good thing? There are so many to choose from. So many tributes. I suppose that tells you how many people he touched with his existence and artistic genius.
It's amazing, the demographic, different colors, backgrounds, personal battles, were all put aside for just a few minutes, and all these hearts and voices joined in unison to celebrate someone. It's quite inspiring to hear the beauty of our voices when we join together and put aside differences and false pretenses that seem to be taking over social media. Awesome awesome video and tribute!
Now THIS is how you do a tribute. That was phenomenally GORGEOUS. 3:43...BAM! Eargasm. I didn't know Prince personally or really get into a lot of his music, but I feel like he would be proud to hear that.
+I am my own super-HERO yes, he was an angel. but those Genius-People have always a problem with Drugs. same to Michael Jackson. Maybe the Hits wouldn´t have been written without drugs. But thats not the Point. He was a Human being in a cold World, made in USA.
+Micha eyL Prince did not have 'a problem with drugs'. He was in constant, intractable pain from all the things he did while performing that wrecked his body. He took pain medication to just be able to get around -- he wasn't doing it for fun, or kicks, or to escape from reality. His particular Christian faith prohibited him from doing what was necessary to alleviate that pain. If it, as is likely, turns out he overdosed, it was from the fact that you develop a tolerance for opioids and have to up your intake in order for them to work. That isn't a problem with drugs -- that's a problem with medicine not offering better alternatives (and maybe a problem with religion, but that's not a war I'm going to fight on RUclips).
Such a truly lucid articulation of the root of this terrible opioid horror that continues to shorten and end the lives of people we love. And of our IDOLS, for whom we mourn with the grief beyond understanding. Where were those among friends and family of PRINCE who should have intuited the mortal danger that he faced and intervened? I am sad and ANGRY for the no shows who should have been sure he was not alone after the emergency landing on his flight from Atlanta - and the shot that saved him temporarily (only THIS time). I 'm ANGRY that he was left ALONE at home in Paisley Park. So WHAT if he may have objected to having friends/employees/families w/him? WHERE WERE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE NOT ENABLERS but truly LOVED, RESPECTED and wanted to SAVE him in SPITE of any objections that he may have expressed?
All the celebs that passed so far this year, yes it's a loss. But, losing Prince is an enormous tragedy. He was a phenomenal human being. Two weeks later and we are still mourning and giving tribute to his genius. RIP ♡
I believe he did and in spirit still feels our love and admiration. He considered his fans his friends I heard. And, that just validates the kind of person he was.
WOW It is amazing you made me cry, thanks for this gift... When doves cry was the first song that i learned of Prince from a 45rpm single that my brother brought to my house (I was 15 yo) since then I have Prince music in my life; my sister told me recently after Prince death that when she hear a song from Prince she doesn´t think in him, she thinks in me because I´m always on his music... this song remembers me my teenage... Prince you always will be awesome
Just finding out about this Choir! I'm totally addicted!!, this one is especially heartbreaking love Prince miss him dearly it's music needs to live on like this thank you for doing it and continue and all you do
That was moving. Literally brought tears to my eyes. Great performance, great sound. The power of people is un-equaled. Thanks for this........................R.I.P. Prince and Thanks for the memories of a lifetime.
I'm a 43 year old, straight male, who has largely been told throughout his life that my appearance alone is INTIMIDATING. Look at my profile picture for the love. And after watching this......niagra falls. I mostly enjoy humanity when we gather together and pay wonderful and moving respect in such beautiful ways to people who touched our lives. Well done C!C!C! and to all of those who were involved in bringing a lot of love to the moment. It's a healing thing, what you all do. I implore, and respectfully request, you press on. Bring more to the rest of us wishing we could do what you do...yet settle for being fans of your work with no regrets.
What a beautiful stunning tribute to Prince. I really shouldn't have watched this at work because the tears just keep falling. Sleep well beautiful one.....I miss you 4ever xxx
Did anyone ever noticed, that people, who sing together, look so beautiful?
This proves that the world would be a much more beautiful place if we all got together and just... sang.
robbrhone glad to bring y’all together! I love my children a Seraphim Anhaiaca! mother
🙏🙏🙏
robbrhone sadly this year we can’t physically do that
True that brother! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That's why Islam bans music because it competes with the power of god
Happy to have been 1 of the 1999
They couldn’t find 1 more person? My OCD is killing me
@@dyslexicteletubby4048 possibly done that way 'cause 1999 was also a track by Prince?
y'all did a fantastic job.
This performance helped me see things in the lyrics I had never noticed before. This is another one of their numbers I am playing over and over.
That's so neat. Was there an audition or selection process to be part of the group? How does this work?
I come back 5 years later and it still gives me Chills, Princes haunting lyrics stand the test of time
How have I only just came across this?!?!?!?!
Rest In Peace ...One of the Greatest Musicians "Prince " 💜
I am glad I was there, and contributed in my own small way to a tribute to Prince. He will live on through his music.
Absolutely amazing, thank you for this great performance!
What a memory
What a beautiful tribute, my friend. Prince would definitely approve 🙏💜
We can laugh together or weep, but sing together is the deepest bowing. We will miss Prince.
Moved me to tears, wow. Dammit Prince. He's probably watching all of this from his purple cloud.
💜🌸
Yeah, he's probably like, "Well, that's certainly different, but I like it."
I still revisit these performances when I miss those artists we've lost. Euphoric. Cathartic. Healing.
How can 21 people not like this. The world is so cold.
I see what you did there ;)
21 people just got screwed by Nikki
With 312k views, 21 dislikes could easily be entirely accounted for by simple misclicks
People like it, forget negatives
Maybe they're (the 21) just like my father ...
Whoa... That was incredible. That ending... can you imagine how the sound carried in that auditorium???
Amazing.
Simple (apart from arranging 1999 people). Beautiful. Put a smile on my dial. Thank you
Wow. Prince would love this beautiful rainbow of voices. Such love.
Real Prince fans will appreciate everything that went into this, great job, it just let me know that he meant just as much to others as he did to me. Prince Forever!!!

Most intimate venue with amazing conducting/directing. I will remember that night for a very long time!
I'll bet Prince is watching this with pride and joy to have his music still inspired and presented with such conviction, just the way he would sing it live, Beautifully done as always.
OMG I just found this. Amazingly beautiful. If someone down votes this they have no heart. This would have made Prince cry.
So many people showing respect for Prince! Glad I saw this and glad I am not the only one who is and will always miss my Prince ;(
I sang on the Massey Hall stage twice in the 1970s. Our hugh school Senior Choir was invited to participate in the Ontario Music Teachers' Association annual concert. The accoustics are simply amazing.

Awesome awesome video and tribute!
This is the most beautiful thing I've seen this week.
What I love about this rendition is how pure and simple it is.
Almost 2000 singing...why can't 200 million sing for peace and diversity. This would be Prince's wish.
Really great night. Glad to have participated.
Now THIS is how you do a tribute. That was phenomenally GORGEOUS. 3:43...BAM! Eargasm. I didn't know Prince personally or really get into a lot of his music, but I feel like he would be proud to hear that.
