Young man, the fact that you can play just about any song is absolutely incredible. You are so talented and you should be so very proud. Thank you for bringing such joy to those who cross your path with song. Bless you!!!
If you know how to play guitar very well, playing specific chords isn't that difficult. Playing notes like TheDooo by ear is amazing. What Reggie does is great, but simply from musical perspective it's not that uncommon. What's uncommon is also ability to connect with people and his entire personality. When you combine everything, that's incredible. Skills in playing guitar are nice, but it's more hard work than talent. Same goes for drawing - everyone can learn it, not many people do. Like you wouldn't believe how person who can't draw at all can improve just by reading one book and following the instructions (doing excercises) - Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. You can improve massively in a week or two and people will think you're doing magic. With learning instruments it takes more time, but everyone can learn it if they really want to. You just need to do it in an efficient way, not just messing around, because you'll get bad habits which are difficult to get rid off later on.
@@Kondiqq I see your point. Yet, even if one knows music theory, and figure out the chord progression, it is not common for people after one hearing of a song to be able to put all that together and accompany someone impromptu on the street with the embellishments he gives and keep up, especially given that non-professionals tend to make unanticipated tempo changes. I think Reggie's talent is beyond the ordinary.

How he can play a song he's never do e before, even in a different language so perfectly is astounding. Seriously, even as a very seasoned musician, it's not easy.
It probably has to with him being able to hear the pitch and tones in his hearing and translating it to the actual words. It’s a gift of blessing. May he be truly blessed by God for the beautiful things that he does. God bless us all everyone.
I play by ear. I can't read music, only chords, and I don't know the names of all the cords, just how yo play them. Still, it's hard, but he reads music, so he's got an advantage.

Hats off to you Marie Claire, a beautiful classic song done beautifully. And a huge compliment for Reggie who learned a song in seconds, very impressive both of you. La Vie en Rose is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded.
La Bohème is also a beautiful classic song. Probably even more so in France than La Vie en Rose (I feel like everytime I hear about La VIe en Rose it's linked to a foreign country). But if you don't know Charles Azenavour check it out and check the lyrics too. He's in the Top 3 of the greatest French singers ever.

It's amazing what talents are among us without constantly being in the spotlight. Thank you, Lady, for this outstanding performance. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you Marie Claire for sharing your beautiful voice with us! I have always loved this song and you sang it so well. Thank you Reggie for this gem!
Touched my heart & soul hearing her sing.
Yes, you sang so beautifully. Thanku for sharing ur talent & Reggie!!! He is wonderful!❤
Beautiful person, beautiful song beautifully performed
I must admit, I am not a musician, not a singer, but you are doing a wonderful job, and the French people got a wonderful spirit, BEAUTIFUL voices.
The man from France also had a lovely voice! So beautiful! Thank you for singing for everyone!
She has an amazing voice… Merci
This made me cry, I had never seen the translation before, and the words touched my heart. Also, this woman singing these words, no matter her life story... blessed me
Same here😢
I love this song it’s one of my favourite song by Edith Piaf, and the most famous song Je ne regret rien…I don’t regret anything…I’m so blessed that I speak 5 languages English is my 5th language and it’s totally different when you can understand it in French the lyrics are amazing & sad 😞 May she Rest In Peace
Repose en paix 🪦 Edith Piaf👏💘 greetings from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
How he can play a song he's never do e before, even in a different language so perfectly is astounding. Seriously, even as a very seasoned musician, it's not easy.
ikr 😃
If i meet him i will ask some King Crimson song....lol....Reggie is out of this world
It probably has to with him being able to hear the pitch and tones in his hearing and translating it to the actual words.
The lyrics are provided maybe the cords are as well
Reggie, you are so talented to be able to interact with people on the street and play songs you've never heard before! Auriel had a fabulous voice and really did a great job with that song. Bravo!
Auriel, Merci pour l'interprétation superbe de "La Bohème". 😊
I'm french and I'm surprised of how good Marie Claire was !
And Auriel sung it like he was Kenji 😅 bravo to him 👏
@Vero E What he meant is he sung the song Gypsy style, which is very distinctive. Kendji is a famous singer of Gypsy culture, and this guy definitely sung like him.
Yes ! Bravo Marie -Claire ! Bravo Auriel ! ❤
@Vero E Kenji Girac. Auriel is singing it in a distinct Catalan style. Listen to Charles Aznavour's original version for contrast.
I think kendji sang it in The Voice then recorded it, many younger folks know the kendji version and not the aznavour version which is too bad....
@@TheLauriie94 c'est la version des Gipsy Kings bien avant que Kendji en fasse la reprise à The Voice, dommage de l'ignorer quand on sort un commentaire aussi médisant... Bien sûr que tout le monde connait la version d'Aznavour
My dear, you killed it with your naturally beautiful voice! Never stop singing and never hesitate stepping up to any microphone! Blessings in Absolute Abundance! ✨💖✨
So agree! Lovely!
We should hear more from this lovely singer.Touchiing my heart and soul.
What are the odds of encountering 2 native French speaking individuals on the same day?! AWESOME RUclips Channel Reggie!
😂
She did a beautiful job with that beautiful song !!!! Great visitor from the beautiful country of France!!!!
One of the most touching public performances. Reggie coaxes a lot of people to sing in public and every once in a while there's a gem.
❤😢❤
Well now. I was NOT expecting that. Both singers were wonderful. I'd never heard the 2nd song before but the singer really sold it. Reggie. You really are a very fine musician to be able to listen once and then provide such convincing and sympathetic accompaniment to people you've never met before. Thank you.
I agree. It was astounding that you played both of those songs so beautifully. Thank you and please keep doing this. The World needs this kind of LOVE. God bless you!!
Dear Marie-Claire you and Reggie did an absolute excellent performance. Your voice is stunning, it is so clean and right on the spot and you didn't even had a single note out of tune. The two of you are real artists that do not need any autotune nor do you need a big Karaoke-Sound-System. Everything is handmade! Love it very much! Thanks a lot for sharing. Please stay healthy. God bless you! Cheers DimiZ
You sang beautifully Marie Claire xx
I'm Scottish and I got very emotional. It gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears 😢 Well done, what a lovely voice 👍❤️
you could hear her heart in her voice, right?
I am Mexican and it hit me like that too!!! So beautiful and authentic! ❤️❤️❤️
What’s being Scottish got to do with it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is so amazing
@@williammackay3321We're all damp and miserable fighting midges everyday. Its rare to see a Scot in tears. I've only cried twice. Once when my pet haggis died and the other was when I dipped my deep fried mars bar in my irn bru and it snapped and sunk to the bottom.
Both Marie-Claire and Auriel sang beautifully and Reggie did a fantastic job👏❤
Marie-Claire...this song was my parents wedding song 62 years ago and hearing you sing it brought tears to my eyes! You are such a beautiful lady with a beautiful voice , I would love to hear more songs from you!
This lady has such a gorgeous inimitable voice. Wonderful!
Marie-Claire - you have such a beautiful voice!!! I couldn't believe that you had never done this before, on the street - you sounded so expert! I like all of Reggie's videos, but you really were outstanding. Thank you so much for not walking away - for letting Reggie convince you to sing! Most enjoyable!
I am so impressed how well this lady sang this very difficult song!!!!
facile pour un francais vu que c'est ça langue😅
@@franky-5699 oui, mais la mélodie n'est pas vraiment facile
Wonderful! Lovely rendition of a lovely song!! Merci, Marie-Claire
She's a beautiful French woman.Beautiful song and wonderful singer .Thanks Reggie for sharing this with all of us.
Both French singers were fantastic. I love their beautiful language and the songs they sang.
Oh my goodness Marie-Claire, you are absolutely amazing! It brought tears to my eyes. This is one of my all time favourites. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us. I hope you can sing more often. You were just glowing. Blessings. 💜...Auriel, you were just as talented. Wow, how amazing you got to sing on your first day there...and to hear another French singer. Synchronicity. 💜
Ich hatte auch Tränen in den Augen 😢 Ich war letzte Woche noch in Südfrankreich. Sehr berührend ❤
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Well said, truly a moment of sublime synchronicity
I like this song. This lady's voice is very good, lovely.
I miss my young life in
Switzerland.
Marie Claire has a lovely voice. Reggie, I have never heard that song accompanied by a guitar. That was very nice. Merci beaucoup, Thank you, to you both.
Honestly that is amazing .. not too many people could really just come off the street and sing like that .. unlike a lot of these type of videos this seemed really authentic 😊
Well done Reggie and Marie-Claire. You gave me the shivers. You have a lovely voice and I bet the New Yorkers around you appreciated it.
Kisses from France 🇫🇷
That fantastic! I love watching your videos & she can sing !
I absolutely LOVED your performance! It was so good to hear it sung in authentic French language! 🥰💖💕🇫🇷

When La vie en rose plays, I’m immediately transported to Paris. One of the most lovely and enduring songs ever written anywhere in the world. Well done modulating the keys to voice, Marie Claire! Well-done! 🎉
And Charles Aznavour is one of my favorite singer- composers ever. How wonderful to see two street performers do those two songs. That young man has it too Great rendition of a favorite Aznavour classic. 🎉
It's edith piaf
@vampesque Oui, Edith Piaf is a treasure..The Little Bird!❤🗼
@@DixonDixon65 yes indeed. 🎼 🎵 🎶
Such an absolutely beautiful romantic experience. The two of you sharing that music together, using your considerable talents was so touching. I have heard that French song before but it meant more to me during this performance. Just lovely. Reggie, you are amazing. To be able to pick up a song, any song, at first glance and with just a moment to listen, is magical. You are using your gifts in such a beautiful, spirit enriching way. God bless. Merci. 💖
Merci beaucoup
Thank you for the wonderful street music. In Arizona, USA, I studied French and so appreciate the singers who can sing in French. As well, I so very much appreciate your encouragement of their singing with you...presenting me clear across the country. Love your channel!
I love when they sing in French, The nice gentleman singing in French He had such character, He had such heart when he sang.... You could tell that he lives his life with passion and intensity.... It was beautiful to watch ⭐
I don't know about the knowing about his life....😅
He was awesome!!
Reggie man, You do not get the credit that is owed to you. You musical talent surpasses that of many so called professionnals. To listen to a song for 30 seconds, and deliver what you just did in the ''La Boheme'' with that passer by, is nothing short of OUTSTANDING. The Feench guy wa good as well. He has a nice voice. Big LIKE to you man!
Thank you for the English sub titles. I never knew the words, but it is beautiful in French!
This is exactly my thoughts seeing and hearing him play this song so beautifully without knowing it before. Thumps up Reggie
Beautiful song and awesome singer! Loved it! ❤
True ! How he picks up songs he does not know so quickly is amazing
The guy who really doesn't get credit, is the sound guy. For street recording this amazing.
This is exactly what this world needs most ! Wonderful ! Thank you ! Let's all join this kind of joy, atmosphere and attitude and spread it all around.
Marie Claire you have a lovely voice . I recognised the tune ; heard it in so many period war movies . Lovely Song
We were in France just two months ago , on a holiday .
There was this hustle and bustle for the Olympic preparation
Thank you
Joseph ,India
As a french person, I enjoy a lot that video, the woman sing this song very naturally :D And the man did a beautiful job too, I love the way he sings La Bohème
He did a FANTASTIC job of Charles Aznavour's La Boheme and she did a wonderful rendition of La Vie en Rose. He looked Armenian (my ethnicity), and Charles Aznavour was one of our beloved Armenian singers.
naturally fits. I was trying to describe the way she sang. Natural is good.
You have a lovely voice, Marie-Claire. Wish I could sing that well!
@@cmontes85 :D
@@irmatchamourian1332 That's true ! Greatings to Armenian people !
Reggie your ability to pick the guitar up and play music you've never practiced is just amazing!
This is about her and her singing
probably one of my favorite videos to date! Reggie, your talent is incredible. The way you pick up songs, can adapt to gestures and hints from the singer when you have no prior experience performing together - it is remarkable!
TRULY! I agree with everything you just said! I wanted to say the same thing!
Marie-Claire, that was lovely.
The 2nd singer was truly a professional. Amazing rendition of la boheme!
Moments like these is why they say “The world is a better place” ❤️
Thank you Marie❤️❤️❤️
La chanteuse a transmis beaucoup d'émotions et le musicien est réellement connecté. ❤
Elle est super notre Marie Claire !
Quelle voix! Merci pour cet instant de partage
Oh my gosh, both singers were great, loved both of them!! The man singing La Boheme was mesmerizing.
The second song was just as beautiful. The young man has a lovely voice.
Fantastic singing Marie-Claire!!! Thank you for being so brave and sharing your beautiful voice.!!!!
I would love to sing and smile with you on the street. Alas, too many miles away. Best option, watching the NY people singing with you!!! Love this!
