If you know how to play guitar very well, playing specific chords isn't that difficult. Playing notes like TheDooo by ear is amazing. What Reggie does is great, but simply from musical perspective it's not that uncommon. What's uncommon is also ability to connect with people and his entire personality. When you combine everything, that's incredible. Skills in playing guitar are nice, but it's more hard work than talent. Same goes for drawing - everyone can learn it, not many people do. Like you wouldn't believe how person who can't draw at all can improve just by reading one book and following the instructions (doing excercises) - Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. You can improve massively in a week or two and people will think you're doing magic. With learning instruments it takes more time, but everyone can learn it if they really want to. You just need to do it in an efficient way, not just messing around, because you'll get bad habits which are difficult to get rid off later on.
@@Kondiqq I see your point. Wonderful singers, both of them. French people seem to have a cultural ability to turn melancholy into beauty which I’ve never found in another nationality.
Marie Claire did a fantastic job with this famous French song. I remember Grace Jones had a popular cover of this song in the 70s. La Boheme was also well done. 🎶🎸
Dear Marie-Claire you and Reggie did an absolute excellent performance. Your voice is stunning, it is so clean and right on the spot and you didn't even had a single note out of tune. The two of you are real artists that do not need any autotune nor do you need a big Karaoke-Sound-System. Everything is handmade! Love it very much! Thanks a lot for sharing. Please stay healthy. I've never heard La Boheme. What a great song! Auriel sung it so beautifully, and his energy was so very warm and bright. You could tell he was a musician. Reggie, your ear for music and your ability to pick it up is astounding. 🫶
Have you never heard La Boheme? Don't say it, that should be punishable by prison, it's a crime. Charles Aznavour, a genius of music and composition, glory of France.
Beautiful ❤ 100% Proof that we don't need to be a famous " Pop / Rock Star " to be able to wonderfully express ourselves through song. I loved this, and the whole idea of " inclusion for everyone " where music and art are concerned. Thank you Marie-Claire and Reggie for your beautiful interaction. A truly lovely moment for all of us to enjoy .... and thank you Auriel, for another wonderful moment - you all made my day ❤🙏
Marie-Claire - you have such a beautiful voice!!! I couldn't believe that you had never done this before, on the street - you sounded so expert! I like all of Reggie's videos, but you really were outstanding. Thank you so much for not walking away - for letting Reggie convince you to sing! Most enjoyable!
How he can play a song he's never do e before, even in a different language so perfectly is astounding. Seriously, even as a very seasoned musician, it's not easy.
It probably has to with him being able to hear the pitch and tones in his hearing and translating it to the actual words. It’s a gift of blessing. May he be truly blessed by God for the beautiful things that he does. God bless us all everyone.
I play by ear. I can't read music, only chords, and I don't know the names of all the cords, just how yo play them. Still, it's hard, but he reads music, so he's got an advantage.
My dear, you killed it with your naturally beautiful voice! Never stop singing and never hesitate stepping up to any microphone! Blessings in Absolute Abundance! ✨💖✨
This made me cry, I had never seen the translation before, and the words touched my heart. Also, this woman singing these words, no matter her life story... blessed me

Hats off to you Marie Claire, a beautiful classic song done beautifully. And a huge compliment for Reggie who learned a song in seconds, very impressive both of you. La Vie en Rose is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded.
La Bohème is also a beautiful classic song. Probably even more so in France than La Vie en Rose (I feel like everytime I hear about La VIe en Rose it's linked to a foreign country). But if you don't know Charles Azenavour check it out and check the lyrics too. He's in the Top 3 of the greatest French singers ever.
Well done Reggie and Marie-Claire. You gave me the shivers. You have a lovely voice and I bet the New Yorkers around you appreciated it. Kisses from France 🇫🇷

I loved her low breathy octave she was able to pull it off so beautifully.Girl you really can sing and I would enjoy sitting and hearing you sing a whole set of songs..I'm so glad you sang for him.

Yes she did.. my favorite French song 😊
I think she is either very modest or she is "sandbagging". Because she is a very skilled amateur singer.
Great job!! Marie' Claire❤
Very nice voice Marie-Claire. So nice of you to share with us.
She brought a happy sad feeling in my heart. She was amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My mother passed many years ago. That was one of the songs she enjoyed. I don't know you, but dedinitely can relate. I am sorry for your loss, recent or not.

"La Vie en Rose" is my all-time favorite French song.
It was co-written by Édith Piaf & became her signature song.
Elle a assurée😊😊😊😊

Wonderful singers, both of them. French people seem to have a cultural ability to turn melancholy into beauty which I’ve never found in another nationality.
Both of these singers were fantastic!!!! Brought tears. And your accompaniment was spot on Reggie!! Thank you!
In fact we are awful and rude people but our language is a wonderful illusion maker... I think so.

Marie Claire did a fantastic job with this famous French song. I remember Grace Jones had a popular cover of this song in the 70s. La Boheme was also well done. 🎶🎸
Yes La bohème was, too, really deliciously sung !
Grace Jones' version was a little bit disco and I really liked that version, but nothing can beat Edith Piaf
La Boheme was fabulous ❤
The French have wonderful voices!!! Greetings from Poland! 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱

God bless you! Cheers DimiZ
A truly lovely moment for all of us to enjoy .... and thank you Auriel, for another wonderful moment - you all made my day ❤🙏
Just beautiful 😢❤
❤❤❤ you have a lovely voice❤
Ah... French and Portuguese are such beautiful languages... I love hearing people sing and seeing people dance. Thank you.
Both singers were just wonderful! Thank you for taking us to France, Reggie!
You sang beautifully, Marie Claire! Such a great classic song; you did it justice.❤

Bravo M.Claire
One of my most favourite French songs of all time and she has a beautiful voice-thank you for singing
Simple music can make you sing, hug can make you feel better and simple thing can make you happy. I hope my simple ‘Hello’ bring smile on your face...
How he can play a song he's never do e before, even in a different language so perfectly is astounding. Seriously, even as a very seasoned musician, it's not easy.
ikr 😃
If i meet him i will ask some King Crimson song....lol....Reggie is out of this world
It probably has to with him being able to hear the pitch and tones in his hearing and translating it to the actual words.
The lyrics are provided maybe the cords are as well
This Reggie is a wonderful fun & kind guy. Wish him all the Best!
The man from France also had a lovely voice! So beautiful! Thank you for singing for everyone!
Wow! A beautiful voice and an iconic French song. A great homage to Edith Piaf. Gave me goosebumps.

I like this song. This lady's voice is very good, lovely.
I miss my young life in

Reggie man, You do not get the credit that is owed to you. You musical talent surpasses that of many so called professionnals. To listen to a song for 30 seconds, and deliver what you just did in the ''La Boheme'' with that passer by, is nothing short of OUTSTANDING. The Feench guy wa good as well. He has a nice voice. Big LIKE to you man!
Thank you for the English sub titles. I never knew the words, but it is beautiful in French!
This is exactly my thoughts seeing and hearing him play this song so beautifully without knowing it before. Thumps up Reggie

True ! How he picks up songs he does not know so quickly is amazing
The guy who really doesn't get credit, is the sound guy. For street recording this amazing.
The second song was just as beautiful. The young man has a lovely voice.
