The only thing I would add is, right at the end, Kirk's voice saying, "Who am I to argue with the captain of the Enterprise?" when the video's faded to black.
That was an amazing trailer version for this movie. It makes it so much more dramatic. If i had never seen this before and wasn't sure, your trailer sold me on it. Amazing job!
This is hauntingly gorgeous. Really highlights the darker, more somber aspects of the film. Personally I always loved “Generations” despite its issues. I think there’s a lot of good in there. Well done! I especially love the coda shot of the two captains finally standing together - excellent payoff!
The movie has surprisingly aged well too. I just finished watching it a few hours ago and for some reason, I enjoyed it more now than I ever did before this.... And it's been years since I last saw it.
Generations is one of my favourite Trek movies. The original trailer gave away just about everything, whereas you've done an excellent job of teasing the movie (as all trailers do) without giving too much away!
This is *Rob Lowe voice* LITERALLY the coolest Trek trailer I've ever seen, official or fanmade. I love how you drew the parallel lines of Picard and Kirk's emotional journeys. I love how you avoided the cardinal sin of spoiling the biggest action set piece. I love how this trailer left me gripping my armchair and convinced that this movie puts our characters through absolute hell (which it does). Mostly, I love the soundtrack choice. It's almost like this trailer is told from the point of view of Time, the predator that stalks us all our lives. Kudos. /gush
Thank you so much for the kind words and expounding thoughts! I really appreciate it. This is the kind of comment I will always come back to when a project isn't working. Again, really appreciate it!
Awesome work with this new style trailer, lightyears better than the movie itself! Remember going to see this film as a boy, expecting both Enterprises to fight together & both captains doing awesome Star Trek stuff. The movie had them fry eggs for breakfast together instead, my 7 year old self was not impressed!
❗️Das ist der beste Star Trek 7 Trailer, den ich je gesehen habe. Ganz ehrlich...super geil gemacht. Die Musik passt voll da rein und unterstreicht den ganzen Trailer. Ganz toll😃👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. Weiter so😃. Hoffe, dass es für Teil 8 & 10 auch einen Trailer geben wird 🤩🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I always loved the themes of Generations and the soundtrack. It has many logical flaws, but for me it has the strongest feeling of all the movies. And this trailer really brings that out. Awesome!
Great modernisation for the trailer! Generations imo has surprisingly aged well. I just finished watching it a few hours ago and for some reason, I enjoyed it more now than I ever did before this.... And it's been years since I last saw it. Although the whole "being in the Nexus ordeal" is still mind boggling to me, the movie was overall better than I last saw it for some reason...
If the bad guy couldn't fly into the nexus with a ship why didn’t he just have a ship drop him off in a space suit right in front of the thing as close as they could get?
Agreed. The whole plot of diverting its course by destroying star systems just to make it hit a specific planet is just stupid, particularly so as they establish at the outset that Kirk made it into the Nexus without destroying the whole Ent B. Damage, yes, destroyed, no. Nice elements in the movie, ie launch of Ent B with honorary Tos crew, Kirk and Picard together, Ent D saucer crash, other pieces. But the entering Nexus plot just lazy, shallow scifi writing
WOW! WONDERFUL! Great editing. No spoilers. Good set up of the movie. Wonderful pick of a track! It's a home run! Sent this to my buddy as a teaser. He's watching TNG for the first time, about half way through. This is a great way to motivate him to get through the series sooner to start the movies lol. His comment to me when he saw this was "that was bad ass man!"
Jacob, thank you so much! I really appreciate hearing that. You nailed it, man. ZERO Spoilers. Even if the trailer sucked, I can at least say I didn't. give it away. Hope your friend enjoys the voyage! Thank you again!
I think this is a great recut of the Generations trailer and I applaud what you were trying to do… the following were the issues I would make: 1. The music bed is weird and doesn’t say Star Trek movie. 2. The editing is good but doesn’t build excitement - because you didn’t take any audio from the movie for the ship2ship battles, the explosion of the guy on the bridge. 3. The last 20 seconds don’t work. The kid and Picard saying weakly “I need help” doesn’t make an action movie trailer. I’m going to check out your other work!
This is brilliant! One of the best fan trailers I’ve seen in a long time. My only criticism is in the first third of it where dialogue and music lyrics overlap. But apart from that, stellar work 😁
Damn! Got shivers watching this, on point on every level... This raises Generations to another level... just WOW!!! Can you do this for all Star Trek movies?
Awesome Trailer! Almost makes me want to watch the film again, even if it crap! I mean FFS they killed Kirk! Berman you Klingon Bastard you killed my Hero!
Always loved Generations. It was the movie people forgot about, it seems. It is still great. You know the best part about Trek? Stuff like this. The fan-made lore and data (ha pun) to fill in where Hollywood left gaps. The story that one guy made, forgive me for not remembering their names, who made the CG animated Spock visiting Kirk's grave on Veridian III, and the Enterprise saucer section being lifted back into orbit... that stuff is what makes Trek and it should be embraced officially, not wiped from existence like CBS/Paramount did to the team that constructed the Enterprise-D virtual reality sim. What possible harm did that cause their bottom line? The worst part of Trek is CBS/Paramount. There I said it.
The ooonly thing I wished differently was that you you didn't "spoil" Picard's version of the Nexus (which was kinda underwhelming and awkward anyway after all the buildup) Other then that, two thumbs all the way up!
Would have been something if while trying to get to soran the saucer of the enterprise flew overhead with soran smiling realising all threats to him have been supposedly dealt with just after he thinks he’s killed Picard
This makes me think they should have had Picard find a lot more people than Kirk in the Nexus. Your trailer makes the MacGuffin of the movie seem way more interesting than it was!
It's probably been done a bunch of times now, but I always thought the original Wrath of Khan trailer could use a redo. It's just a mishmash/hodgepodge of scenes from the film. I'd have cut together soundbites of Chekov and others describing the villain, not by name. Then hint that it's a Star Trek trailer with Carol saying "who is Khan?" Then reveal shots of Kirk & Crew with some theme stingers.
So I actually took a shot at this: ruclips.net/video/TwJeX4VSEEM/видео.html Some people I said I ripped off Orange Band. Orange Band definitely inspired me, but I also wanted to do it better. Some don't think so. That's totally fine. I loved making it. Hopefully you enjoy it too!
I wish the movie were as good as this makes it look. Perhaps a reboot with Pickard in Kirk’s place with a newer generation ST cast? Who could pull that off and it not suck? James Gun? Alex Garland? Dennis Villeneuve? That would rock. No JJ Abrams or Rian Johnson, thank you. Bring in kick ass talent for script writing and production: I still love Simon Pegg and think he can deliver surprising kick ass scripts, and Get Quinton Tarantino bring a Trek to screen that understands its impact on pop culture and who will bring edge to the film, see this is a remake of that old move and would finally put to Captain Pickard to bed, his eternal rest, let the movie be a monument! Perhaps James Mangold could be a co-writer or producer. All the pieces for a Rated R Trek to end all Treks.
The only thing I would add is, right at the end, Kirk's voice saying, "Who am I to argue with the captain of the Enterprise?" when the video's faded to black.
Who else could hear the captain say “engage” even though there was no audio for it?
Probably. I hear that every 3.8 minutes every day anyway.
Well done. Suddenly excited for a movie that came almost 30 years ago...oh my god...30 years ago lol
You left out the best part! Guinan describing Kirk in the Nexus, and then Kirk looking at Picard and saying "Beautiful day!"
This is a super cool "modern" trailer. I have goosebumps while watching this.
Same for me
Wow. This is one of the best fan-made trailers I’ve ever seen.
That was an amazing trailer version for this movie. It makes it so much more dramatic. If i had never seen this before and wasn't sure, your trailer sold me on it. Amazing job!
"They say time is the fire in which we burn."
Man, what I wouldn't give for dialogue like that again.
Bravo. One of the best modern trailers I've seen.
This is hauntingly gorgeous. Really highlights the darker, more somber aspects of the film. Personally I always loved “Generations” despite its issues. I think there’s a lot of good in there. Well done!

My fav star trek film.
Seriously you assembled a masterpiece here, and I'm so grateful!
Now that's a movie I would go to see.
Watched this film 100 times, but this makes me want to watch it again!!!
Generations is one of my favourite Trek movies. The original trailer gave away just about everything, whereas you've done an excellent job of teasing the movie (as all trailers do) without giving too much away!
Thank you, Joshua!

Thank you so much for the kind words and expounding thoughts! I really appreciate it. This is the kind of comment I will always come back to when a project isn't working. Again, really appreciate it!
Alright, you’re knocking them dead so far, with the storytelling combined with the emotional angle. Well done, keep it up.
I usually dislike these modern trailers but this one is awesome! Well done!
Well, two old men also beat up an even older men on a steel gantry, how could you even ask for more Star Trek than that 😁
Goosebumps !!!!! ❤
Outstanding!
I am literally speechless at how good this is! It was sobering and heartbreaking!! Well done!
Thank you, Mike!
I have always loved this odd Trek 7 Film. No one else as much as me anyway.
This just makes it better.
absolutely superb ... very well done you
You should be cutting trailers for the movie industry. Yours are so much better than anything I've seen from a studio.
That was really good! Well done!
❗️Das ist der beste Star Trek 7 Trailer, den ich je gesehen habe. Ganz ehrlich...super geil gemacht. Die Musik passt voll da rein und unterstreicht den ganzen Trailer. Ganz toll😃👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. Weiter so😃. Hoffe, dass es für Teil 8 & 10 auch einen Trailer geben wird 🤩🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'm blown away by this, Thank you so much i love it
This trailer could spark new interest
in the movie.
It's a TREK film Older and Younger
fans can get into.
this is beautifully made 2021.. well done ..
Wow! This was amazing.
this is a badass trailer & I love the music score.. this would have raised this movie's popular sooo much more!!
Godamn this is so awesome. goosebumps! well done.
Thank you, Liam!
You have a gift for editing these! I'm very impressed!
Thank you so much!!
This was really good!
I always loved the themes of Generations and the soundtrack. It has many logical flaws, but for me it has the strongest feeling of all the movies. And this trailer really brings that out. Awesome!

This my favorite star trek film. I don't care what anyone says.
Wow. Great work. Made me want to see it again.

Nice Job very well done thanks for sharing
This isn't one of my favorites but this trailer makes me want to watch it again
seen this movie and sure would like to watch again all the star trek movies
Superior soundtrack action here.
This trailer is better than the actual movie.
Time is the fire in which we burn…. I love that saying as it’s so true….
WOW! WONDERFUL! Great editing. No spoilers. Good set up of the movie. Wonderful pick of a track! It's a home run! Sent this to my buddy as a teaser. Fantastic !!!! Great job!
Damn. I'd watch this all over again!
Damn! Got shivers watching this, on point on every level... This raises Generations to another level... just WOW!!! Can you do this for all Star Trek movies?
Check out my playlist. I have trailers from TMP through First Contact.
When Soran stands on that precipice with his hands high, waiting for the Energy ribbon...Thats awesome shit
YES!!! So good! Well done!
I can’t believe a Björk track was used. Clever.
This is awesome!!
Amazing!
WOW!!!!! AMAZING!

Watching this movie right now
This trailer is far better than the actual movie!
Very nicely done 🖖
Nicely done.

Most excellent!
Wow. This trailer is more exciting than the film
Interesting. Very interesting. I think there is more to be done to make this polished, but its an excellent trailer.
Fantastic job, far superior to the original trailers which I just happened to watch before this.
Pretty awesome. Suggest not having dialogue and lyrics at the same time, but otherwise this is well done
I want a flashback in picard about kirk would be cool to see them interact again
Woah, this almost made me think Generations was a GOOD movie!
The ooonly thing I wished differently was that you you didn't "spoil" Picard's version of the Nexus (which was kinda underwhelming and awkward anyway after all the buildup)
Other then that, two thumbs all the way up!
So. Damn. Good
Good job
Damn this is good
Would love to see more TNG movie trailers from you.
Would have been something if while trying to get to soran the saucer of the enterprise flew overhead with soran smiling realising all threats to him have been supposedly dealt with just after he thinks he’s killed Picard

That's what fun about making these: refining the narrative while also, quite frankly, hiding the flaws and really hiding the big moments.

May I ask what software do you use? Its is really awesome.
Premiere Pro and After Effects
