A modern dramatic take on a trailer for the (ambitious but flawed) summer blockbuster Star Trek V - The Final Frontier. Music: Imagine Music - Universe has no end
Well done, is fantastic This Trailer is insanely powerful I'm very attached to Star Trek V even though it has problems It was a very ambitious project, I really like the story It deserved a remastered with modern special effects A group of terrorists (post apocalyptic mad max style) led by a fanatic who steals the enterprise to go beyond the borders of the galaxy in search of God is (and I don't care what anyone says) a very cool idea. And in any case, it's always a pleasure to see the crew of the enterprise on screen. Great interaction between charachters and great comedy.
Kirk: Damn it, Bones, you're a doctor. You know that pain and guilt can't be taken away with a wave of a magic wand. They're the things we carry with us, the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves. I don't want my pain taken away! I need my pain!
This fan-made trailer is *so* well done, it made me forget, however briefly, how truly embarrassing and inept this film actually was. Kudos to you, thi.lo_b.! :)
J'Onn: Where did you get this power? Sybok: The power was within you. J'Onn: I feel... as if a weight has been lifted from my heart. How can I repay you for this miracle? Sybok: Join my quest. J'Onn: What is it you seek? Sybok: What you seek. What all men have sought since time began. The ultimate knowledge.
It wasn’t a bad movie. The idea of one getting rid of life’s pain was interesting. We all one day must face it. It’s never easy and some can’t deal with loss as some rise above it.The special effects weren’t great. And I thought the camping scene should have had the entire seven!
The effects were not great. The story was good. The acting was wooden in some spots. But the weakest of the original cast movies? The Motion Picture says “Hold my beer…” That was a steaming pile of crap.
I see where you're coming from. I had several choices to make: Do I incporporate text plates so I can leave out more material? Do I keep the comedy aspects so I can divide the trailer in serious and light-hearted? Do I explain the whole story? Should it be more of a teaser? The final result gives away most of the movie without really explaining what they're actually doing. I decided for that approach because I wanted people who never watched that movie to experience the best parts of it and to see how much I'm able to ramp the positive parts of ST5 up to 11. So yeah, for a commercial release the trailer is too long and gives away too much. But for a 3 minute long thrill-ride that was really fun to edit it works pretty well I think.

Btw great choice of music
How pissed off would you be if you saw this trailer and expected to see a kick ass movie then saw... Star Trek 5
They really polished that terd.
Wrong. The film is fine

It's always been my favorite Trek film.
Great Job, still one of the best monologues about pain and how it makes you the person you are.
How the hell did you do that? You made star trek v the search for shatner...and made it look legit!
You aren't a Trek fan.

I can't wait for this to come out on VHS... 📼
This is the best representation of ST V I've ever seen, but it's missing any bits of the campfire scene which make the whole movie.
1:43 bird of prey with stars behind it going to cloak is an amazing shot, especially with the music
nice!
Very. well done.
This trailer makes Star Trek V look epic
5 is epic. When was it you last watched Star Trek 5? It's my personal favorite of all the Trek movies.

Haa haa! Embarrassing for sure!
Star Trek V wasn’t that bad! I don’t like they used some TV sets in this movie though, like the Transporter Room.
I love Star Trek 5. I saw it in the theater back in the summer of '89, and I loved it.
Nice! I wish they would just fix the film! So easily done! Please! #FINISHSTARTREK5 😊
Fixing it would require rewriting and reshooting the whole thing. That doesn't seem easy to me.

I like to think that inside that movie was a better one trying to get out
Better than the actual movie :D
Kirk: [to "God"] Excuse me... Excuse me... I just wanted to ask a question. What does God need with a starship?
OK that was badass
This will be the only cut of stv I shall evar view again
This was wonderful
Wow! Really well done!!
Great !!!!
This is great!!!
Really really well done!
awesome! ^^
Live this trailer like u di this film. What is the background music for it? I love it, it's beautiful and kind if haunting and mysterious
Not sure I would say this movie is underrated. I agree it is definitely flawed. I think it is the weakest of the original cast movies.
Changed it to "ambitious". I guess that's a better fitting :-)

StV makes Discovery look good
Your modern trailer is too long.

Geiles Ding! ❤️
When a trailer looks and sounds like a parody of a parody film of Star Trek
