Hello David 👋 Got home from work after a hectic day needed some chill time had some tea then put your video on was not decipointed really enjoyed watching as always buddy well done on your fish and I would like to say what a nice casting style you have definitely get out there again. Thank you for bringing us a quality video tight lines and seeing on the next one🎣👍
Yessss Dave been really looking forward to this upload mate , massive fan from the north east , keep up the content mate I love this type of fishing for summer cod , Number 1 fishing channel for me this , tight lines mate looking forward to seeing more content from you !
Hi mate welcome back A think its been dead lately too much fresh bait in the waters makes it a lot harder to get stuck in to any fish but ya got 1 in the end well done a had a nice fish just around the corner from that mark 2wks ago 4lb11 that was on softie crab and frozen mussel and nothing worse planning on fishing a mark and peep are on it then ya gota move 🤦♂️ anyways enjoy your wk end matey see what 🏴 do the day ehhh 😂 🎣👍🏻
@@cupholder3120 cheers mate hope you’re well, well done on the fish 👍 yeah lots of natural bait around now. Let’s see if England do it tonight….tight lines 🙋♂️
One of them couple of lads was me mate. We got not a thing that night so your session went better than ours. That mark does throw up the odd cod though fish it all the time.
Never seen this one Dave, I've tried that place a few times, I'll not give it away to those who don't know, but unproductive for me many times, I did get my biggest coalie around that area. During the summer about lockdown ISH.
Great video, I love how you don't waffle on. You seem very knowledgeable, certainly much better than me, mate. Atb Look forward to the next one. The number of channels I follow is hard to keep up, Lol. I don't know how your subs aren't 10k plus personally speaking. Hope your channel keeps growing 🙏
If you're fancing a bit of sport, on light gear, you want to dust the spinning rod off and grap a few cheap metals, the little green stripey torpedos are in at the usual marques, cullernose yesterday produced on any state of tide, fills in an hour or too and a drawer in your freezer
Always an enjoyable watch mate 👍🏻 well done on the wee codling 💪🏻🎣 Is it a 14000 size saragosa your using dave ? Im on the look out for another reel to use on the tornado sport Regards Arnie
@@Mark-ml6yk cheers Mark much appreciated. For heavy ground work definitely the Saragossa, it’ll not cast as far but is so much more solidly built and has a better handle for winching through the kelp. Hope that helps.
@@michaelstoker316 cheers Michael much appreciated 🙏 it’s a Saragossa SW 10000PG, not going to give you max distance, but great as a strong winch for the kelp👍
Great video been watching a few of them now. How do you get on with pulley rigs? I stopped using them due to lots of bites but not many fish. A more experienced cod angler showed me how to tie a semi fixed paternoster rig which has made a big difference to hook ups, with it being semi fixed when fish is on hook length slides down so that weight is above the fish just like a pulley rig.
@@AllyMac-ic6tv thanks Ally much appreciated. I like them, never had a problem to be honest. The trident figures of 8’s as I call them create more resistance meaning that the hook length doesn’t pull through as easy and there’s more chance of a fish getting hooked. But yeah that system sounds good too, I’ll have to try it one time.
Another great video dave, at least you didn't blank, this weather is crap, it's hard to get out on good tides, hopefully it will settle down and the kelpies will start to show. Keep up the good work. Tight lines mate.
@@erichall6797 cheers Eric much appreciated. Nice reels, touch too slow on the retrieve, made of the Ci4 material which I’m not sold on for heavy ground after prolonged use. Just my view, sure others will think differently.
@@charlieharrison9088 cheers Charlie thanks very much mate. Mmm good question, the SS feels lighter and not quite as stiff in the tip, but my Evo is unique in that it has a beefed up tip which is probably why. The Komp feels slightly more user friendly but to be honest there’s not a lot in them.
Lovely looking cod do you use the saragosa purely for winching power because I don’t think it would cast as far but when you fish that sort of mark do you not need extreme distance great video happy day’s 👍🥸
@@micksly7570 cheers Mick much appreciated mate. You’re bang on, I’ve sacrificed distance for winching power, but as you say quite often on those marks you’re not looking for extreme distance. The Gosa gets my vote hands down for heavy ground work.
Well done David, just good to get out. Chucked a few plugs about last couple nights but nothing. But loving it 👍
