      @@bogwoppit792 it’s a Zziplex HST Evo mate. It’s a bit of a custom
      Rod as it’s 13’10’’ where’s as the standard rod is 13’6’’. Unfortunately Zziplex have stopped trading now so you’d have to get one second hand. If you’re wanting a new rod I’d imagine the closest rod to it would be a Century Kompressor S or possible a Century Tip Tornado Sport. Hope that helps 👍

      @@fullcircleangling no that's fantastic mate 👏 I've had a try fishing with a tip tornado sport and loved the action on it, but it was on the Holderness coast and not in my local area of Scarborough where it's similar to some of Northumberland's Mark's. So I'm glad you've recommended a Century Tip Tornado Sport for the rocks.
      The Greys Nitra I've got is like a scaffold pole, I can't attempt a Pendulum cast on it again, becausethe last time I nearly put my back out trying to get the compression in the rod 🤣 so it's just a overhead cast into holes and great for hauling fish up cliffs.

    Sorry to hear about the rod! Gutting.
    I had a run of bad luck, trapped the tip of one rod in the car door and snapped it beyond repair. Then I got a new rod for the next session and the first outing exactly the same as you happened and it popped two eyes out! I now carry a roll of insulating tape in the tackle box just so I can finish the session. The ceramic eyes in these rods are extremely fragile when the temps are low like they are right now. I hope your get it repaired swiftly and get back out on the rocks 👍🏼

    • @fullcircleangling
      @fullcircleangling  2 года назад

      Thanks very much Gary appreciate the feedback. I'd suggest taking a section of coastline, for example Newbiggin to Amble, start at the north or south and fish the marks over the bigger tides during the day so you can see all the features and how they flood. Then you can get a feel for which marks you like and which ones you're not so keen on. Stay safe though and always keep an eye on the incoming tide behind you. Most of the beaches will fish at night with a bit of sea on and some colour in the water. Hope that helps and tight lines👍

    Cracking video, I love that mark and for some reason I haven’t fished it yet this season? Is it you who does casting lessons? If so would it be possible to meet up some time. I’ve tried bringing my reel closer to the bottom of the but and I can’t seem to trick my brain to use the left had to release and use my right arm to cast, I always use my left for power and right hand for line release. I’ve seen more and more bringing the reel down and the casts seem to go out a lot further.

    • @fullcircleangling
      @fullcircleangling  2 года назад

      Hi Josh, thanks very much for watching and commenting.
      I'm not an instructor as such but always happy to help where I can. If you're right handed than it actually sounds like what you're doing is correct; use your left hand to pull down hard and don't punch with your right until the very end of the cast. Use the right arm as a solid pivot point if that makes sense. Look towards where you want to cast and take everything slow to allow the lead to go wider at the tip, that will help you get into the mid section of the rod and increase your distance.
      Hope that helps mate, happy to give you a lesson/help you out if time allows.
      Cheers and tight lines👍

    Great fish shame about the rod just an idea could you not remove the ring from the rod as a temporary fix no idea if it would work

      As its used with a fixed spool reel yes you could definitely remove a ring and still use the rod Peter

      Yeah I should've done that Peter, just didn't think at the time. Lesson definitely learned. Cheers and tight lines!

    Sickener about the rod damage. Looked like there was more fish to be had before the session was cut short.
