- My recent cod session from Collywell Bay, at Seaton Sluice.
A great first cod fishing session of the season, this could be the start of a great season. Had two fish out, a kelpie, plus a fresh run codling.
Bait was lug, and mussel.
Lad’s I’ve just liked several comments, the way I understand it if we like one another comment’s it benefits Danielle’s channel so start pressing likes I’m sure it all helps!!👍🎣

I really enjoy the fishing, and I’m the sort of person who always gives it the best shot at whatever I do - that seems to be paying off 🤩👍

Big coat n strides - weather has changed😏 Thats a gnarly spot to fish from, and into so well done on the rock scrambling as well as the fishing. Still amazed by the colour of those cod - hope the keeper was tasty!
It was delicious Greg, I had a filet yesterday for my Sunday dinner 😋
And yeh, it’s time to wrap up well, I’ve got some good warm gear for this season 🤩👍🎣

I was over the moon to catch those fish, and to get a video done too. I was a little down when I got back from hols with no footage to work on, so I was thrilled with the result 👍🎣
Great video nice to see the codling showing
Thanks Ray
Yeh, it’s that time of year again. I’m really looking forward to what I’d consider my first proper cod season.
I’ll be fishing quite a bit over the coming months 🤩👍🎣
this woman is a dream come true .
Awesome Danielle, u did really well in those conditions 😊, 2 nice codling, granddaughter and I had a good session Saturday arvo, fished a spot she found , near where she lives 😊, used pilchards cut & whole as bait ,she started catching small snapper, but ended, with 4 pan sized snapper, I caught 3 Australian salmon😊,( not the best eating fish )😢 and a octopus 😮. Gave my daughter 2 snapper, smoked the salmon ( the best way 2 eat them ) smoked the octopus as well. Happy catching from Australia Nick 🇦🇺
Ah that’s fab Nicholas
Sounds like a great day out, I think that’s fab that you fish with your granddaughter- that’ll be great memories for both of you.
And the thought of smoked fish and Octopus has my mouth watering 😋👍🎣
Great video, you can fish! Thanks sister, see you on the beach 😁👌
Cheers Billy
Learned lots from watching you 🤩👍
I enjoyed watching that and well done, Keep them coming
Thank you Darren 🤩👍
You make it look so easy and I've never caught a cod in my brief sea fishing experience.. You have inspired me to get out and get one, you know it makes sense, ATB

I’m looking forward to seeing what cod I can catch this year, I’m hoping to hear my pb- which won’t take much doing 😆👍🎣
Fabulous Danielle you fished well in those conditions and I think I got just as much of a buzz watching you hit into those ‘Coddy’ as you did and I’m sure you got the lift you needed and deserve. Tight lines lass and keep them coming😊
Thanks Steve
Was a great feeling getting a fish on when I was worrying if it was too rough. I know for next time 👍🎣

It’s the best time for codling when there’s a good swell on
Haha yeh, and I was worried it was too rough 🫣
Just stumbled across your channel, and have to say I thourerly enjoyed the content and your enthusiasm. Well done on the two codling you earned. Have subscribed and liked. Till next time, stay safe. Arthur.

Yeh it wasn’t the best, but I still enjoyed getting away first the few days.
I’ll head back that way earlier in the year next time 👍🎣
Looks like your fishing into the devils hole collywell great content as always D
Ah thanks Steven
I knew there would be a name for the mark, haha Devils Hole, I like it 🤩👍
@@fishinghinny you've got the round rock Infront of you and middle skeer behind that Charlies then hall skeer beyond that
Thanks Steve, do the bays fish from the shore too ?
@@fishinghinny @high water yes they can do either off the platform in the middle of the beach or right-hand side of hall skeer from the seated area
Excellent thank you
That’s good to know for when it’s too rough to get on the rocks 👍
Great vid happy fishing 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Rob 🤩👍
You’ve learned so much in your short time as a fisher person. I think this coming winter is going to be a good one for you. You asked how you’re going to get it up. That’s a question I’ve asked myself. Thanks for the video Danielle ❤️🐟
😆😆
Thanks, I’m looking forward to catching some corker cod this year Chris 🤞
As shes a female itl be "fisherwoman" for future reference.
Another great vid, I wonder would I have to be as agile as Indiana Jones to get down to the rocks? . All the best Neil Tight Lines
Nah, just as agile as me Neil 😆
It’s just a steep bank down, slippery when wet - as Bon Jovi once said 🤩
@@fishinghinny Am living on a prayer 😀
🤩
Magic! Well done, think it's time you stopped asking for fishing tips and started giving some out !
Thanks Neil
I’m always learning 🤩👍
Well done Dan. Great fishing.
Thanks Steve
Those Pollock you got in Skye were awesome 🤩👍😆
Another cracking session Hinny😁
Thanks Terence, it turned out canny, good thing I didn’t get onto my originally planned mark as I may have not done so well 🤩👍🎣
well done girl im off to the mull next weekend and hope to catch a few happy fishing cheers martyn 👍👍
Hi Martyn
Ah you should do ok there, I’m going to try and sneak in another shot over there before it gets too cold 🤞
@@fishinghinny thanks ive been there so many times and never ever blanked just love spinning for the pollack
Yeh it’s class 🎣
18:17 How did it go again? Well done wrapped up Hinny, ..top lass ! That's not just luck either, it's doing the right thing in the right place at the right time. Great to see.
Thanks Ash
I think it was du-du-du-du-du-du-du.
That’s a pretty accurate description 😆
@@fishinghinny
Lush !
On a calmer day you might have seen me paddling my kayak out from the bay, going after pollack - good effort
Nice
Do you get good pollock out from there?
@@fishinghinny My best was 14 pounds, just a few hundred metres offshore next to a kelp bed, 3 years ago on a light lure rod🙂
Ah wow, amazing 🤩
Try your reel further down the rod
I’ve tried it a few different positions previously but settled on where it is, I will have another try lower down though to see how it feels 👍
You look very well protected against the weather today Hinny , have you had a visit to Boys ? Lovely cod well done 😅😅 .
TK Max for most of my clothing Mick 😆 Boyes for the travel rod though - they’ve just opened one in Blyth 👍🎣
Well done danielle, great video & 2 nice codling, I've never fished this mark, can I ask where to park the car?
Thanks William
At the path which leads to the mark from Collywell Bay Road, is a wide gate, there’s enough room for a couple of cars just there to the side of that gate 👍 that’s where I’d normally park, but there’s plenty parking on that road so you will be fine for a spot
@fishinghinny thanks, I'll do a recce tomorrow afternoon after work, any chance to get out on my motorcycle lol 😆
Brum brum 🏍️
@@fishinghinny 😄
Where do you get your lug worm from please Danielle, I can only seem to get rag at the moment. Thanks and another good video again 😊
I got those from Sports & Leisure (frozen), I use a few different people depending who’s got it in 🤩👍🎣
@@fishinghinny thanks Danielle it must be just timing.
Was in S&L today and I’m sure he said he was getting yellowtail’s in for Saturday 👍
@@fishinghinny ah that’s belta, thanks Danielle 😊
Where did you fish in Scotland?
Around Gairloch, up and round to Cove. Wasn’t much happening even at the places I did really well at in May 🤷🏻♀️
@@fishinghinny I'm surprised you didn't catch, especially being that far up. Tight lines
Ur amaaazing 🎉🎉.But I think your videos could use better thumbnails and I am a professional thumbnail designer do you want to talk more
Thank you
I’m ok for thumbnails etc, I’m happy using what I have for now, but thanks anyways 👍
@@fishinghinny no problem your videos are great either way
