Ah Jason, he’s such a huge miss, we had some amazing times together. It was Marks idea for me to start doing the fishing videos, there’s only a few with him on screen, and one day I will watch them all again, but as yet it’s still too painful for me to watch.
I’m really glad that you enjoyed seeing him again, I hope you are well x

Dannielle, what can I say. I came to view the video as you always cheer me up with your enthusiasm, only to see the sad news. I'm pleased Mark did champion your making the videos and hope you do continue, so please accept my deepest condolences.
One tip to counter the cold is to rub a thin layer of Vaseline onto your hands, it keeps the damp out and doesn't put the fish off. It really does work.
    Take care,
    Keith.

Yeh I’ll maybe think twice about that shot, it is a good’un for a rough see though, I’d probably perch on it the crag to the left next time if I do as that on looked more stable when I inspected from below the day after, there’s also some nice rocks to the bottom left which could be fished from low water up too which might be a good alternative on a flatter sea

    What rods do you have

      Hi
On this session I had a 13’ Sonik Black, plus an Abu Garcia Esprit Bass which is also 13’ - a very nice lightweight rod

@fishinghinny I have to sonik black sport sks 14ft. It seems slightly heavy but I think its a good rod for rough ground fishing

I think mine might be slightly lighter than the one you have and slightly shorter, but it works a great for me, I can get a good cast with 5 / 6 oz weight and it’ll do beaches and rough ground too 👍

Good place to fish but Hartley Bay is better and Cambios rocks next to the Cambios pier and St Marys island on the skeers as go across couresway where you can catch up to 20 lbs cod in these marks

Shocked to hear your sad news Hinny! Life is sometimes cruel. I hope you are OK under these awful circumstances. Family and happiness first and foremost, fishing is a luxury. I do hope you carry on for Mark's memory, it's good for the soul. Take very good care of yourself. My wife and I have only just realised who you are! Without saying, we are both musicians. Drums and vocals and I do remember Mark too. ❤

He’ll be such a miss to so many of our friends and family. I will continue the fishing, he showed me how and championed me to do the videos, I know he would be thrilled for me to continue 🐟

We always kept back from the edge a bit Robert, safety first, mind I’m not sure I’d fish that mark now as lots of erosion recently under the rock ledges there 👍
