  • I'm really starting to find my feet with fishing now.
    I think that each time I still learn something new, but I'm also aware that my skills have grown considerably in this past six months too. I would definately consider myself to be a 'proper' angler now.
    I will be looking at new methods in future videos, including fly and course.
    As always thanks for watching

    Good Evening Danielle , This time you have really nailed it tbf , just be very careful when your climbing around those rocks we don't want you falling , as fishing back home there's no bait fish swimming around so no mackerel coming in , there's the odd one but even the boat reports saying the mackerel are small

    Top angling Hinny well done and in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. Well done on the get down to that tidal mark no mean feat that respect. Have you tried the float of there? I used to buy Ammo frozen sand eels and ragworm from Ardwell Marine to fish of there. Have had Pollock to just over 11 pound and Ballan Wrasse in the cave to the right to Five pound. You're right fishing is a great time to reflect and be grateful for nature, tight lines always enjoy your fishing adventures.

    This is my girl. If this video was made 40 years ago, I would be inviting you to go sea bream fishing on the rocks.
    Type "pesca sargos Galicia" and you know what I mean. You don't see women there, to get to the fishing grounds you have to be climb with a rope or...
    I see you and others fishing on the rocks with a spinning rod. As a former sea bream fisherman, I say that on the rocks, you should never use a rod shorter than 4 meters, and that is for fishing grounds like the one you are fishing in, which we call high grounds, where the sea is directly below. For what we call shallow fishing grounds, where, regardless of the height, you still have about two meters of rock in front, a 7m rod is very welcome. The reason is, if you are 7 meters high and the rod is 4, you just need to lower the rod and reel it in, and when you raise the rod the fish is right next to you.

    • @fishinghinny
      @fishinghinny  Месяц назад +2

      Thanks Jose 👍
      I’ll watch some of those videos later 🤩 that makes sense too with the rod length explanation, we don’t seem to use rods as long as that here, maybe we should 🤔
      👍🎣🐟

      @@fishinghinny As you will see in the videos, I have attached some notes;
      They fish in those areas, but not exactly because people like to risk their lives every time they go fishing. They look for the best places in the sea. There are also waters there exactly like the one you were fishing in this video, but for sea bream you might eventually catch a fish, the probability is low.
      You will notice that the water is foamy, which means that it hits the rock and there is oxygenation, and it is when hitting the rock that it takes away from the rocks the fish food that the fish are waiting for it to fall.
      So the selection is always where there is foam, oxygenation, hitting the rock and VERY IMPORTANT blue waters. Green or brown waters are bad.
      Ps: the bait is used to throw it with a spoon onto the rock and not into the sea, the wave when it arrives is what takes the bait. In other words, replicate what happens naturally: the wave hits and the food falls.
      Ps2: A few more tips and you can start your sea bream fishing career. A true art, from reading the sea to the thickness of the line, what type of buoy to use (or not), the height of the buoy, etc., etc.
