- A brilliant session under the caravan park at Eyemouth, with a PB wrasse, quickly followed by another much bigger PB Wrasse at a very respectable 2.87lb. Caught on ragworm fished on the bottom.
I also broke the tip of my favourite fishing rod, the DAM Vibe 6', which I have had since starting my fishing adventures, I was gutted.
I had planned to camp at Budle Bay on the way home but the weather turned against me so I abandoned that plan and headed straight home.
Definitely one of your more eventful videos 😁 what a beauty of a wrasse too 👍

Yeh those wrasse were almost tropical in colour, they are great fish to catch, very hard fighting and cunning with it, having to play the waiting game as they dive into nooks and crannies 😆👍🎣🐟

I haven’t really travelled much but the one place I’ve always said i’d like to visit is NZ. My step-father backpacked around there around 20 yrs back and ever since I saw the photos and heard the stories, I have fancied a trip myself.
It’s on my very short list of places to go once the mortgage is finished so I’m hoping to do this in the next few years 🤞

Me and Mark would normally make Cromarty our last night of this trip to fish the pier for mackerel to bring home. So there’s a good possibility that I’ll still do the same this time, as long as the weather allows me to go west, then up and over 🤩👍🎣🐟

I’ve ordered the NGT 6 piece, 6’ carbon travel rod, that should be fun to use. I do have a couple of other light rods as backup too.
Wind is still an issue here too, not so much rain though, and off to Scotland next week for ten nights ⛺️+🎣=😎

It was a good excuse to buy another rod 😆 I definitely had my money’s worth out of it. It’s a canny spot to fish from but can get busy at weekends

Happy belated birthday! Well don on the PB wrasse too! If you're having bother with anchoring the tripod to stop it blowing over... Take an empty dry bag with you. Fill it with water when there and hang it under the tripod. Empty when done, so you're not carrying any extra weight with you...

Your the second person to say there is sound issues - I’ve watched it back twice now from RUclips and I’m not seeing any sound issues, however the visuals are not as high quality as usual, something is going on with RUclips 🤔 hmmm very frustrating
A bitter sweet day, a mammoth wrasse but the poor little pink rod. I suppose it was never going to last forever and it's served you well.
I’ve certainly had my moneys worth from it Jim, and it’s performed brilliantly even when confronted with big fish. I’ll try some different rods now but that one will be in my heart forever

Yeh the NGT handled it well, I’ve just ordered the NGT 6’ - 6 piece carbon rod to see what that’s like 🤔 I’ll see if I can land a double figure pollock on it when I go to Scotland next week 🤩

Cracking wrasse Danielle. Goes to show that you don't need all the whistle and bells. Just a basic rig set up produces the fish. The sound went belly up for a while 🤣but that's OK. Your excitement did the talking. Always a sad moment when a favourite rod breaks. Thanks for sharing, once again.

hey great content.cut that top eye off below the whipped part and then u can glue a eye on happent to my ron Thomson easy fix wont feel right if u keep tht top eye on nice fishing i love my wrasse fishing on lure its exciting you should try it on soft plastics fight so hard

Yeh I’ll swap that eye out first and end eye at some point as I’d like to carry on using the rod. I’ve never caught wrasse on lures yet, I’ve tried but no luck - one day though 🤞

Go Outdoors at Team Valley, I went back on Thursday but they had none in, you can get them online from other places still for around £20, rubbish reel that comes with it though.
