Instead Tim decides it’s a good night to get black out drunk and test gravity on stairs multiple times. It’s unfortunate but no one’s fault but Tim’s. Guess he was never told he can say no right?

    I think they're at fault. Not that they made him join or made him go through with the hazing process or even that they made him drink but if they didn't seek medical attention when he himself was helpless yes they should be at fault. How can you sit by and let someone suffer even if they did decide to drink. Under any other circumstance of you had a friend who was too drunk and unable to care for themselves wouldn't you think to seek medical attention. Sociopaths no sympathy or remorse for a life lost.

    • @saynotohookups
      @saynotohookups 2 года назад +6

      Yes they are responsible for also making him join, for making him drink and go through the hazing process. They got him to join knowing what they would do to him. The boy should not have joined the fraternity in a desperate attempt to belong and should not have done what his so called fraternity brothers wanted him to do.

    • @puglover8595
      @puglover8595 2 года назад +3

      @@saynotohookups they didnt make him do anything so theyre not responsible for his death. He chose to drink. He chose to join. Knowing what they would do to him? 🤣 You mean allow him to drink like every other college student 🤣 Those were all his actions by his own choice. He's responsible for his own death.

    • @crab2195
      @crab2195 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@puglover8595 you make it sound like he died of alcohol poisoning. he died from a fractured skull and lacerated spleen. going out of your way to ensure he doesn’t receive medical attention by definition, is involuntary manslaughter. to make matters worse, they supplied him with copious amounts of alcohol knowing he was underage. you want to talk about responsibility but anyone over the age of 21 knows that supplying alcohol to people under the age limit means you could potentially be held responsible for whatever happens to them. they knew that and were more worried about themselves. they literally texted each other saying he “could be a problem” after he fell down the stairs. they slapped him, laughed at him, fell on top of him, and stepped over him as he thrashed on the floor. they had no regard for the person literally dying right in front of them. he was left alone all night and continued to fall and hit his head several times. it’s not even the drinking that’s the problem. it was their lack of regard for human life that made this case stand out. his final moments were spent confused, alone, and in unimaginable pain.
      the fact that you lack any sort of empathy for a human being losing their life in such an awful way is truly disturbing. i sincerely hope no one puts their trust in you if you don’t feel any sort of responsibility to help others when they are clearly suffering and in pain.

It sickens me that the thing you find sad is the possibility of Colleges doing away with these archaic brother and sisterhoods. I find it very disturbing that this is what some parents are in an uproar about. Maybe they should spend time with the victim's families,of Frat house hazing. This might help to put their uproar into perspective.

They are children and should not be treated as " boys will be boys " they seen what was happening and wait until the " the 11th hour " to call for help . If you plan on joining one of these fraternities, it is understood what is entailed to join one of them. Piazza knew that as well. He put himself in this vulnerable position. Horrible job on the brothers part of recognizing how serious this situation was, but NO ONE in this story is an innocent victim.

      The dead kid is the victim. He was clearly in trouble but his brothers chose to text each other about whether they would get in trouble or not. They googled all sorts of things about his condition but took hours to get home actual medical help. He drank too much but so what? These guys watched a human die after encouraging him to behave recklessly for their own amusement.

      hazing is different, you are pressured into drinking and doing things to get accepted into a fraternity, whereas just getting flat out wasted you drink on your own choice

      You’re wicked if you can’t see the kid was a victim. He probably thought he was in good hands. He probably thought others had done it and it was safe. These kids seem like thang had it in for him. For all we know they could have given him something else to drink.

    Very sad situation that someone lost his life, but he made the choice the join a fraternity. He made the choice to drink. I don't think other people should be held accountable for this boys actions. He could have said NO to hazing, he could have said NO to joining a fraternity. Simple as that.

      Goldilocks how could he said NO if he's been drug or force to drink and it's unconscious! They could have STOP when they noticed something isn't RIGHT!

    • @solsticequeen
      @solsticequeen 7 лет назад +5

      Nesthy Adventures No to hazing dear. He chose the fraternity, and could have said No I am not going through the hazing. The drinking was part of the hazing. He could have said No before it started. He made bad choices. After he passed out he wasn't hazed....he was just left to die. Hazing is the initiation process and no one is forced. If you say No, you can walk right out that door and focus on college, instead of partying and fraternities.

      Goldilocks I agree with you on the fact that he shouldn't have put himself in that situation. But there are a ton of cases where pledges are taken into a back room and basically have alcohol forced down their throats until they are willing to participate. This happened at LSU with Max Gruver

    People die because they choose to drink too much. There is some personal responsibility to those who choose to drink to excess. Maybe the parents should have told him not to pledge...its not as if parents don't know that frats drink, ALOT! Maybe parents should teach their children not to drink at all. Maybe parents should be more involved with their kids at college. There's lots of blame to go around. 40,000 people die every year in car accidents. Sht happens. Its weird that the same people who loudly place the fault entirely on the kids in the fraternity are the same ones who are all for legalizing more drugs.

      @@marlenemeurer376 Someone falling while drunk or falling asleep, isn't automatically a reason to take someone to the ER. Not to mention, they were drunk as well. Once they realized they couldn't get him up after he should have sobered up, they called 911. He chose to drink. I've fallen and have seen my friends fall while drunk countless of times. Never thought the ER was necessary. So it's not surprising they didn't immediately think to call for help over falling while drunk. They picked him up when he'd fall and put him on the couch. No one brutalized him or forced him to do anything. He chose to do it. Simply a case of parents not willing to accept their child's actions. They don't want to accept their son decided to drink himself to his death so they place they blame on others instead.

    Yeah, because a bunch of young boys who see people go cold and fall and crash hard but wake up the next day multiple times should be charged for letting a stupid young boy who's parents didn't teach him not to do stupid things should get punished.
    That makes sense, okay. Let me go put myself in a bad situation, not use my brain cells, and then when something bad happens to me I will sue someone in the comment section for not stopping me. Its their fault... Jeez.

  • @angelashapiro1777
    @angelashapiro1777 6 лет назад +1

    The only fault lies with what was done or not done AFTER. If they did not call 911 and delayed getting help then they deserve man slaughter. But who gets it? All 28 people in the room? Unfortunately he CHOSE to participate, his parents knew he was joining and they made the decision to pull life support, it’s horrible but to blame everyone else and take no responsibility is not right either. I’m not a part it’s fraternity nor would I want my daughter to join, but to take away the choice to do so over this seems wrong to me.
