- Join Drew as he shows of Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH. He takes a look at rides like Starblaster, Untamed, Skater, Caterpillar, Canobie Corkscrew, Yankee Cannonball and The Mine Of Lost Souls. Plus the park has food stands that look like they are right out of Roller Coaster Tycoon.
One of the best small amusement parks. Went there 2 times and going for my third time tomorrow. Love the log flume.

The corkscrew coaster uses to be located at the worlds first indoor theme park called old chicago, it was a giant mall and theme park complex, it stayed there till the place closed and was moved to canobie
You mentioned the trees. Fun fact. No attraction can be taller than the treeline, Ths keeps the natural look of the park from afar.
Aw, this was nice! Went here all the time as a kid, fun to see it again through new eyes!
I was halfway into the cart in untamed when i chickened out and ran to the exit. A 6 year old took my place. I regret it to this day😂😂😂😂

They should scrap the Corkscrew and put in a tight floorless. The ride was essentially a copy of a prototype. I am not sure if Arrow anticipated that parks actually wanted this layout. It was so short.
They sold a lot of them back in 1975--they were the first modern coasters ever to go upside down, and that gimmick was a huge draw even if it didn't do anything else. The one at Canobie was originally an indoor coaster (at a shopping mall/indoor amusement park in Illinois), and the compact layout makes a lot of sense there.
I remember being able to get in on a Thursday night for 6$ after 6 pm-10 pm .
Now it’s 6$ for a bottle of water.
During the night it’s cheaper and less lines AND going up on untamed is cool with the stars.
I'm going at 9am today so like 1 hour and a half till I go yayyy

Some interesting things, we had a paratrooper ride where the skater is now they removed it around 2006 to my knowledge. The corkscrew also sat on the ground in pieces for years because they hadn't gotten approval from Salem to build above 80 feet. Also the fences are low because we don't really care

Nope. The Corkscrew opened in 1987. Python closed in 2007. Not possible. There a bunch of those corkscrew still floating around, this being one of them.

CanobieLakePark Has A 80ft Hight Restraint So It Can't Go There And All The Other Parks In Nh Are Family/Kid Parks So I Dount think It's Possible

coastercrew Everytime I see your videos, they always look like the people have red faces.
That ride is not a Mini Max Air. Max Air is more like a claw ride you see at carnivals but it turns a little slower. Other examples of Max Air types of rides are rides like the KMG Afterburner (usually called Fireball) / KMG Freak Out, or the Steet Figher Technical Park ride. I personally think that the carnival versions are better than the Max Air rides because they are a little more intense. I will still ride the Max Air / Delirium rides though, but I just don't think they are as thrilling as something like a KMG Fireball ride.
That ride is a Huss Frisbee (I know you assume that because one is called Frisbee & one is called Giant Frisbee that they are basically the same & the only difference is that one is smaller, but they aren't the same at all). A Huss Frisbee in the order of a Gravitron, Round-Up / Zero Gravity (New version of Round-Up), older Chance Rotor, or Hi-Lite Scat ride. All those rides have the feeling of being pushed into your seat, and feeling a little like you can't move. Huss Frisbees spin so much faster than the Max Airs do.
It just means everything is very bright and colors are too pronounced. There should be a setting on the camera or video editor to reduce it.
I sort of like the over saturated look to his videos though.

who ever agrees with me that six flags is better then Canobie? i think it's way better because Canobie is a lot smaller and six flags is a lot bigger! and also Canobie should add more new rides those ones are getting boring! i think😒
No one cares. People enjoy the place and it's history, if you like six flags go there. DON'T HATE ON MY PARK, BROSKI.
The park is more than a century old, and that Six Flags is about 20 years old... Also Canobie is supposed to be a close to home amusement park.
Six Flags owned the park for twenty years, actually, the park itself (formally riverside park) is turning 150 in 2020.
Both parks are great in their own right, as a New England coaster enthusiast, both parks are great. Canobie is a great family park, mixing thrill and family fun. canobie has the legendary Yankee Cannonball, one of the greatest wooden rollercoasters I have ever ridden. Also, Canobie has one of the only Eurofighters in the US in Untamed. Personally, I prefer Six Flags New England coaster lineup because there isn't a low height restriction. Thus meaning higher and better thrills.
