Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman, and George Wendt. Legends on screen
I love how instead of trying to explain why Mike Myers wasn't there or who John Goodman was they just went with Myers got fat.
PLUS!!... PLUS!!... COULD GOODMAN'S HEAD BE ANY BIGGER?!!
or what Mike Myers would weigh 20 years after this sketch
Man i miss Farley. He was hilarious in everything he did
As viewer you just sat there waiting for Farley's next line. Tons of very funny people on SNL over the decades, none created that level of anticipation.
Rest in peace Chris Farley :-(
SNL will never be this good again
Very true
All they care about is being woke. Not funny.
Trump will never ne the president again 🙄
As Chris Farley alluded to, 1995 or Season 20 was regarded as one of the worst SNL seasons. NBC cleaned house after this season.
It NEVER was good. It NEVER was funny!
John Goodman's Da Bulls Tarzan yell was hilarious!
It was perfect
Two Worlds, one family!
He was always great being from St Louis and being a Bears and Bulls fan
That was good I bet it was a hell to do.
Chris Farley, DAN AKROYD and John Goodman on the same screen at the same time, comedy LEGENDS!! and ironic John Goodman would join the superfans skit cause his role being dan Connor on Rosanne his character's favorite team was Dah Bears
"This joke from the 70s isn't going anywhere. Todd, you got anything?"
"Uh, I'm having a heart attack!"
So many legends on one screen.
I know man
Yep, spot on
Ah-May-Zing !
I loved discovering that George Wendt is Jason Sudekis’ uncle!
"That fat guy screamin' all the time" LOL
It's hilarious that Chris Farley took a stab at himself with that one.
The mustache and tinted sunglasses stereotype is so true.
SPOT on for Chicago back then and even a limited extant now
Being from Da Chicagoland area I can relate to dis
this is 10000000% accurate if you've ever listened to Chicago sports radio hahaha. the only difference is that post-MJ, the Chicago sports media barely pays any attention to the Bulls anymore lol
@@skippythealien9627 Do they pay attention to the White Sox in any given year? Outside of Chicago it seems they’re always second fiddle to the Cubs unless they have a really good year, like ‘05. They did win the AL Central last year, though.
Big Tom Callahan and Tommy Callahan....RIP miss you both
I like how farleys hat falls off
Love how the show was making fun of itself - all the bad reviews about the cast at that time - notably the article in the New Yorker -
“Fat guy screamin’ all the time! Come on!!!! Pull the plug on that frikkin thing!!!! “. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@6:35..years later still hilarious 🤣,R.I.P. C.F..Thanks for all the laughs!
These Super Fans sketches always make me soooo hungry. Those plates of food look so good! They better have eaten it afterwards
I used to love those old Irwin Mainway skits with Ackroyd and Curtain as Joan Face. Once he supplied the elementary schools with nutritious delicious food like chalk and a bottomless cup of coffee. That pathetic cheesy scheister laugh that Ackroyd performed was hilarious.
Yes! And worked PERFECTLY with this group.
Great memories!
I can’t help smiling ear to ear and laughing when I watch these.
And I think we all could use a good laugh nowadays.
Great sketch! R.I.P. Brian Dennehy
Look at me, Im little Jonny Blowtorch!!! So glad they brought him back
John Candy belongs with this bunch.
Wasn't Uncle Buck from she keggo?
I remember Dan Akroyd doing this character, selling a toy called,”Bag o’ Glass.”
They sell a lot of products in the Bag O' line. There's Bag O' Glass, Bag O' Nails, Bag O' Bugs, Bag O' Vipers, Bag O' Sulfuric Acid...
For a second there I forgot what real comedy "was". This is hilarious!
It’s easy to find good comedy now, I bet you would like bill burr
@@chrishansen2409 Dude I love Bill Burr!
I love George Wendt so much.
"Norm !" (from the Boss-ten/Boston-based bar, "Cheers")
Fun fact : he’s Jason sudeikis’ maternal uncle
In 1994 the White Sox were in 1st place when baseball went on strike. They had the chance to say "would've been the Sox year" but they blew it and mentioned the cubs instead.
That was a miss. I guess the Chicago guys here weren’t White Sox fans. Although the Expos and Yankees had the best record in each league. All I’ve read since is that was the most likely WS matchup had the year not been cancelled. Too bad for Montreal, too, it was their best chance before the team left.
Perhaps in their division but Montreal had the best record.
also, those sideburns are just fantastic........
John Goodman did a great job.
🤣👌🏻
Cast members- roasting their own show! lol.
Surprised John Goodman wasn't there right from the beginning with George Wendt and Christ Farley.
I keep thinking Brian Dennehy was what "The Hurlehy Boys" sketch was based on (Sandler and Farley), but seems completely different and unrelated whatsoever 😅lol
Dan's sleaziness is palpable
Playin in Buffalo technically makes OJ a New Yorker 😂
They should have brought these guys back when Chicago Blackhawks was that wear on their run I know Chris Farley passed away but come on guys SNL you should have brought these guys back so the Hawks Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews Duncan Keith that would have been awesome
Hockey does not have a big enough following. I have never heard of those players sweetheart. Stick to writing musicals honey.
@@vinnycarrocia7511 you kind of sound like a gay
@@vinnycarrocia7511 so basically your statement is “idk sh*t about hockey so I think the rest of world doesn’t either” if you did know the slightest you’d know the Blackhawks were a dynasty for the first half of the 2010s, 3 cups in 6 years, besides you shouldn’t be a d*ckhead on things you don’t know jack about bc it is a good idea
That laugh at 4:43 😆
Lmao 😂. You can tell he had a lot of pent up laughter.
R.I.P. Todd
Golden years of SNL
Not even close. This was one of their worst years on SNL. The only reason you're saying this is because you're watching one of the few good skits from that year.
@@TheListenerCanon Oh, sounds like an opinion to me.
Rest in peace Brian
Ugh I know it’s been said a ton but, man I miss Farley.
The more time goes by, the more we miss.....and need him.
3:02 lol
This is a good one...
The best years
The crowd seems to have no grasp of the multiple layers of brilliance they're witnessing here.
The early 90s SNL was unreal.
George Wendt is thee ultimate sports guy
the bulls were so damn popular then, I had bulls stuff and never even watched basket ball
LOVE old snl
The Superfans dream team.
Tommy Boy meets Coneheads meets Blues Brothers 2000 in one video? How CHEERy!
4:20 The irony is that Michael Jordan is actually afraid of needles
And the Monstars.
Bob Swerski sounds like Coach Z!
Memories
Rest in the peace Chris Farley 😪 / da bears 1985 super bowl ring championship da bears / Michael Jordan have 6 time NBA finals ring da bulls
Is it "Mainway", or "Maimway"?
Dan Aykroyd's original character was "Irwin Maimway", which was a joke based on the dangerous products he sold. For example, his Maimway company made Halloween costumes like "Invisible Pedestrian", which was a black jumpsuit, or the "Human Torch", which was a bag of oily rags and a lighter. And he opened an amusement park with rides like the "Thunderplunge", a shopping cart pushed down a rocky slope. They even used warning label gags-the Invisible Pedestrian had a label, "Not For Blind Kids".
Jane Curtin played interview Joan Face, who would end up accusing Maimway of recklessness and that would set up the punchline to end the sketch.
It's always been Mainway.
Thank You Saturday Night Live
Bringing DA heat !
The funniest one is at the Dick Butkis Hospital when Chris Farley has a BBQ sauce IV. Tom Arnold was the Host
Da-aaaaa-aaaaaaa-aaaaaaa bulls!
No da bears
one of the few times they mentioned da cubs
It’s funny to me that Mainway doesn’t seem all that interested in the Bears or the Bulls, except for how he can manipulate kids into wanting to be “like Mike” to sell dangerous toys.
Also the original SNL gang had determined that Mainway and E. Buzz Miller (also played by Aykroyd) were cousins, so that could mean that Todd and Buzz were cousins too.
Didn't the superfans break a record with most heavy guys in a single sketch?
Yup, I wanna say they all came in at a combined weight of, over 1,300lbs. I think?...🤔🤔🤔
Fattest in order: Goodman, Farley, Wendt, Dennehy, Aykroyd, Smigel. Hence why Smigel leaves at the end of the sketch.
WARNING: You Be Careful With That...lmao 😆
"They ought to move it to Chicago."
"They ain't that smart."
SCTV may have something to say about that....😊
I know Farley passed away but they sure brought these guys back when Chicago was winning Stanley Cups they would have been funny with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Towes and Ducan Keith
DA HAWKS
And Chris hasn't been around to see how bad SNL has been for the past years
"Pull the plug on that freakin thing"
-- Farley, on himself
Daaaa Bulls!
Bingo you're jordan
John Goodman And Chris Farley first Time ever
does that record still stand?
Is That Robert Smigel on the far left?
+hybridcypher if you haven't figured it out yet, yes it is.
I don’t know his political views
@@andrewgehrett4009 This comment is underrated
I never knew that all these years 😂
King Jordan
They should've done DA Blackhawks
Question: Does John Goodman have the biggest head in showbiz?
Literally not figuratively!
John Goodman ♥️♥️♥️
❤😂
Akroyds charecter was a call back to his original SNL skit with Jayne Curtin where she interviews him for marketing questionable toys to kids!el
I want to say that, at a combined weight of all 5 of them? They all weighed in at a little over 1300 hundred pounds. I could be wrong? But I do remember seeing 1300lbs., after the sketch was over. 🤔🤔🤔
No blackhawks mention
Da Bears
do they just call up Brian and he flies in for this? perfect way to end it.
I just recently heard that bill swersky is Jason sudekis' uncle irl.
Pull the plug on that freaking thing.
Any chance that these super fans did a skit when Da Cubs won it?
Apeturd lmao
Hey I'm Micheal I'm on the moon. 🚀 👞 🌙
This must have been when Tommy Boy came out.
Rip drugs 😭
Right before the double nickel
Was this record ever broken
Da Bulls
1:53- For those who didn't get that joke. Basically SNL went to shit. People hated to the point where one of the news articles or something called it "Saturday Night Dead" once again. People also grew tired of Farley's (RIP regardless of this horrible year) fatass pratfalls and stale humor. In fact, Lorne even said this was the season he was closest to being fired, but he manage to turn it around by firing Sandler, Farley, etc. and hiring people like Will Ferrell, Darrell Hammond, etc.
Also, another reason why John Goodman (who was the host at the time) playing Mike Myers's character is because Mike Myers left in the middle of the season.
I didn't know Myers lef da show in da middle udda season!
Sox were first place
wtf
oh and, thats chicago accent? sounds like new jersey 1953 but slower
Some older guys here in Chicago talk like that
Well it’s supposed to be ridiculous
It would've been funnier if they went along with him.
I think they used Mike Meyers for Pat's picture
That's because Pat was originally Mike Meyers...
Who is at the far left?
Smigel?
Does that fat guys in a sketch record still stand? 😂
The way Chris Farley described himself in the 3rd person was kinda creepy. Especially the "pull the plug" comment. Yikes!
