I bought a switch lite in 2020 and my partner played ACNH’s constantly in it. I finally got to play it regularly early 2022. I play it far more than my XSX. Skyrim handheld is my dream and Mario Wonder is very difficult to put down. I want an Oled but can’t justify it as I’m having a blast on the lite!
As someone who owns both and OLED and a Lite, I see myself spending more time with the Lite since I usually use my PS5 whenever I want to game on my monitor. I also plan on using the Lite for my upcoming trip, especially since the OLED can be quite bulky and heavy to play as a handheld for long periods of time.
Also helps that I’m using the official Switch Lite flip cover, which defeats the purpose of having to use a bulky Switch case for myself. Easier for me to game on the go without having to use some zippers in all honesty 😅

Going by your suggested weight measurements that you quoted, the full size Switch actually weighs almost 100% more than the switch lite, not "almost 50% more than the switch lite". But the switch lite is therfore just over 50% of the full size Switch weight, if that's what you meant to say when quoting 50%. 1:02
I just got a Switch Lite yesterday. I got a good deal on it. I’m amazed at how much lighter it is than my OLED. I can definitely see myself using it while traveling rather than the OLED. The screen does look really sharp since the screen is smaller. I’ll probably use it more for 2D platformers since the D-pad is so good and the smaller screen makes it has a more retro feel to it.
great video, was back and forth about grabbing a switch first Gen, OLED or Lite with Switch 2 rumored to be in the works. But wanted something I could play Xenoblade, Zelda & Pokémon Legends
still have my PS5 (main) and Xbox but after this video Lite would be a great pickup just to play some exclusives title
Same here. Bought a lite to game on the train to work, play some rpg's on the go. But at home i only use my ps, so the extra money for a switch oled would just be wasted.
Got the V1 on 2018, then i got the oled on dec 2022. Then i got the lite this month. I dont knw what is wrong with me hahahah but the lite have been in my bag to work, going out etc. Its so compact
Sold my Xbox series x I have adhd and find sitting in one spot even when playing games really irrating I get out of and only been able to play for 40 mins at the most I picked up a lite last year and my god I love it who knew gaming could actually be this fun and addicting being able to move room to room and sit with my family and not be isolated in my room on my Xbox is great they all seem so interested in what I’m playing and I love talking about the games I’m playing anyway if your on the fence go for the lite it’s great ! The switch is my only console and I have no regrets but I have to say I can’t wait for the switch 2 !
same experience, im asl (high functioning autistic) but the struggles def overlap with adhd and I cant stand sitting in one spot indoors for hours gaming this allowed me to game out in the world, agree no regrets!

@@hashwasnthere235 it’s soooo worth the look the buttons and playing on it, it’s sooo comfortable and so portable and fun ! I play Pokémon shining pearl & Pokemon violet and the Nintendo switch online is worth it as well

What I really hate about it is that the joystick can sometimes have this squeaky noises and the fact that you cant swith the joysticks is crazy
Hey, you’ve actually convinced me to switch (pun intended) to my lite. I love my OLED but feel like I can’t be trusted haha. Plus it’s such a small console you can play massive games on it which I’m amazed off plus I do like the handheld gaming experience a bit more
I have an oled but sometimes i use my brother lite when mine is charging on dock. Their somethings i like about it but somethines i wished were improved upon. Im surprised we havent got a switch lite oled model yet. With a stretched out oled style screen making it easier to see. Few things i would change is better ergonomics, better battery life, and better joysticks. Other than that the lite is still a decent system and as said when i want play in handheld mode but my oled needs be charged, i often use my brothers lite when he isnt using it.

I love the lite but I hate the D Pad. It's too easy to press two buttons at once, and it also register twice the inputs sometimes. They should have made it a bit larger or four separate buttons.

Recently got yellow switch lite . Sold my ps5 . Blasting MH rise never looking back to non handheld gaming. If you decide to get this get the grips or your ahnds will go bye bye in 30mins

I'd like to get a grey lite and put a dbrand skin on it to add a bit of personality. I wanted to wait to see if they made an OLED Lite but doesn't seem like it's happening so I'll probably get one this holiday.
And now there's a Hyrule Edition I'm tempted but I'll get it later hopefully it's doesn't skyrocket as a collectable.
I don't see the point in getting a Switch or OLED now as they'll be releasing a Switch 2/their next console soon.
Bought a blue one yesterday with the Blue carry case and psu for £100. Bloody awsome. It didn't come with games so I bought Zelda Breath of the Wild, and the GTA collection as I love open world games. The consule is amazing and just what I wanted 👌😊

I always buy newly released Console after a year because they do have less exclusive titles and old gen consoles literally have thousands of Library to choose from
I actually recently got one and paid someone to mod it, I was really excited but ended up being very dissapointed because the speakers are SO BAD! My vita speakers are definitely way louder, even my new 3ds speakers seem louder, I can't play any game with voice acting on my switch lite at all unless there is absolutely zero noise around at all and it really sucks I'd pay 500 bucks for one if it had good speakers and could connect to a TV the smaller size is just so much more appealing to me than regular switch

I looking to buy a Switch but im so torn between Oled or Lite. Im scared about the gameplay on handheld, like on the Zelda games or Metroid Dread if theres a big difference.
There's no huge differences if you play in handheld mode other than obviously the screen and the size. If you really care about the brightness and you're not sure about if you'd play it docked or not, i'd say buy the oled

@@lucasjunetoft There are a few games that you won’t be able to play on the Switch Lite (none of the major release mind you), also some games are more difficult such as Super Mario Odyssey because you’d use the joy cons motion controls for certain moves Mario uses with Cappy. Other than that it runs all the games as well as a standard Switch/Oled, it’s the same hardware just a smaller screen and obvs not an Oled screen. I’ve played both BOTW and TotK and Metroid Dread on the Lite and it’s been perfectly fine.
The only real negative to the lite is the speakers are just completely awful so you really can't play any voice acted games unless you are in a completely silent room

Is it true that the common problem of switch lite is, it won’t charge anymore after a while? I’ve read a lot of reviews and that’s their common problem.
batteries also fail at one point. the good thing is you can use RUclips to learn how to change the batteries

It will perform exactly the same as the OLED. Breath of the Wild works perfectly. Apart from slow loading, Fortnite works well too.😊

Only problem I have with the lite is when the controller get stick drift there’s nothing u can do but other then that it’s fine

That's a silly reason. You do realize then oled switch is also a handheld device too right? And as someone who also use mostly handheld. That oled screen is way better to play on than the smaller duller led screen

I love handheld gaming and I sold my original switch the moment this one came out cause I got tired of carrying that boeing 747 around. The lite is so much nicer to hold and I never play on the tv anyways. I wish nintendo would just ditch the tv gaming all together. I remember when the 3ds first came out, it felt kinda like an original console that never had me missing gaming on the tv at all. That is what I wish nintendo would continue striving for
