They are still readily available through your local Suzuki parts dealer or from time to time we have them available on our website WWW.MOTOPARTSSOURCE.COM. If you found this video helpful in any way. I was recently given a 2006 SV and I just discovered the tool kit thanks to your video. Never opened, untouched for 16 years and in great shape! Thanks for your vids

    just found my factory tool kit unopened and in perfect condition! I didn’t think I had one since it wasn’t under the tail and I don’t have a tank prop rod either but I didn’t even know about that tiny little compartment, figured it was for the battery or something else

    That's a really cool spot to hide a tool kit
    I didn't even know about mine

      It’s a brilliant design. Sad to say that not all Gen 2 SVs got one though. Early models like the 2003 don’t have one and also ABS models actually have the ABS pump assembly in that location instead of a tool kit. Hope your tool set was in great condition when you found it. 😃

    Hey! I just got a 2005 sv650, and it’s got a really loud fuel pump. I was just wondering if theres anything out of the ordinary to replace the fuel pump? There’s not a lot of videos about it and they’re not super good.

    • @PASSIONBUILT
      @PASSIONBUILT  3 года назад

      Is your fuel pump loud consistently or is it just loud upon prime and start up?

    Appreciate the video. Was wondering why I couldn't find the tool kit on my 2008 SV650SA. Any idea if the 2008 ABS comes with a tank prop tool? I checked the rear seat and it's not under there.

    • @PASSIONBUILT
      @PASSIONBUILT  3 года назад +1

      The ABS model should come with it from factory. I had to source a tank prop rod for my ABS bike since it didn’t come with one when I bought the bike but it has the slot for it. So I just added it.

    Hey, have another question for ya. I have a 2008 SV650SFA, very similar to yours in the video, same color and all. Any how, i'm having trouble finding the right size bolt to attach the bottom part of the lower fairing to the bike. Any idea what size bolt this is? It's the one that mounts near the rear brake lever.
    Also, it came with Motosliders No Cut frame sliders, and I assume i just need to remove the one bolt and pull the puck off, install the fairing, then reinstall the puck?

      Hey Josh. I recommend checking out the Oneida Suzuki website. They have detailed diagrams that will allow you to pick which specific bolt you are looking for and order it directly from them. I apologize but I do not have the bolt size on hand.
      As for the frame sliders. I would also recommend checking out Motosliders website for instruction installations. I’ve never installed those specific frame sliders. But the no cut sliders are usually pretty straight forward. Just identify the 2 mounting points that the bracket will sit on, remove factory bolts, and reinstall everything in reverse order.

      @@PASSIONBUILT Appreciate the reply. Fortunately I was able to find the bolt size, it uses an M5 button top (although the head is a bit small.)
      Just installed my fairings today. Removing the sliders was fairly straightforward. Just waiting on some of those hollow washers to come for the fairings since a couple were missing.

      Hey there depending on if you have a 2003 SV1000N or SV1000S you may have a factory tool box. One of the 2003 SV1000 models was a unicorn and did not follow the same design guidelines as the SV650 with the different subframe and under plastics.

      @@PASSIONBUILT Ah man its all good! I was just stating that mine had one! As far as I know the 03 sv1000n has a bunch of things that are different from the others, longer swingarm, no clip ons, the tool bag and a different subframe i guess

    • @PASSIONBUILT
      @PASSIONBUILT  3 года назад +1

      Yeah the 2003 models are definitely the oddball when it comes to the rest of the later models. But that’s what makes it a unicorn and adds to its rarity 😃
