Mark hit's the HiBore irons from Cleveland golf and talks about feel, performance and who might get the most from this kind of golf club. Testing these golf clubs on and off the golf course to try to show you how playing golf is as important as just hitting long balls.

They call these a super game improvement iron. Well I’m off 15 and my mates reckon they’ve never seen me hit my irons better than with the new Cleveland HBs. The sweet spot is massive, only drama is you can go 20 metres long until you dial in your distances. Anyone over 50 you are crazy if you don’t kit up these bad boys!

I read several reviews and comments placed about the Launcher HB irons, comments such as “no self respecting golfer would use them”, “wouldn’t be seen dead with them in my bag”, bet those guys never actually tried them. After a demo I bought a set (regular steel shaft), one trip to the range and then 18 holes this morning. Just beat my playing partner by 9 holes and was five under my handicap, mainly as a result of the ease and accuracy of the mid to long irons. Love them 5 star ! Go by results, not looks

    I’m a 24 handicap. I just played these and scored a legit 89. I like them.

Mark, thanks for an honest review. Working in the industry, it always bothers me that people refuse to play clubs that could help their game just because of a stereotype.

Hi Mark. When I joined my 1st golf-club my regular partner was a retired gent who had a full set of lovely Browning Low-Profile irons ( can't remember the exact model ). They had VERY wide soles like these . He could shoot low 90's , occasionally mid 80's , loved his golf .

I demoed these at a local nine hole course out of curiosity. Decided to play no other clubs but the Cleveland set (not counting putter). Just 4H through PW. First hole: 4H, 4H five feet from the pin. Birdie. I'm a 12 handicap and I was 2 under through 6, 1 over after 9. Ordered them immediately. Off the tee on two par threes, laser-like pin seekers. Twice I compared my PW (very reliable) with the HB. Big difference. Face on the HB much hotter, contact much crisper. Often leave my chips a little short, but chipped in from 35 feet with HB PW. Since I prefer hybrids to fairway woods, I wish Cleveland offered an 18 or even a 15 degree version. I have probably watched or read 25 reviews of these clubs and everyone, even scratch players, rave about these clubs. With any luck, mine arrive today. Will post updates.

Without a doubt the most forgiving irons I have ever purchased. (In part due to this review) Thanks Mark 👍

If you can actually play and you go out with your golf buddies and consistently shoot in the low 80's... high 70's they will start off laughing and end up crying. Trust me when I say that no body laughs at my set.

I just hit the range with these for the first time today. In my 20+ years of playing, it was by far the best I’ve ever hit irons!! They launch so freaking high!

I love that they brought these back first set of irons I ever used been through 20 sets since. Gotten rid of every one except these I kept them as a spare set so me friends that have never played can start with a good set. Absolutely thrilled about these all though I don't play them anymore

Had I not bought the older HiBore XL irons a few years back I probably would have given up on golf... Those of you that said if it improved your handicap you still wouldn't use them... have lost your damn mind.

I found a set of the originals, pw thru 4 iron and bought them for a 100US. Added 1 to 1/2 clubs to distance and increased accuracy. Wedge now doing 130-140, 9 goes 145-155 and so on. Second year player, 61 years old, 5' 8", 160#, was hitting low 90's on a 126 course rating from tees I use. . Now consistently mid to high 80's same course. Snobs won't like them but if you aren't a snob and just want to be better they are great for us beginners. It's about enjoying the sport not bragging about your clubs. Have watched dozens of your videos. You, Shiels and 1Atomic Golf in Australia are excellent sources of info. Thanks.

Funny how people are concerned about a golf clubs looks. Those type of commenters probably play bladed irons designed for a pro level golfer and shank them into the woods or hit them 10ft in the air and 40yds short. How does that look? Lol. Tried these. SO easy to hit. Best ball flights I have ever had with these. High, Straight, Easy. Bought a set. Who cares what they look like. Results are what matter. I'd rather have a different looking club and hit a great shot than have a pretty club that I hit inconsistent embarrassing garbage shots with that destroy my score. Put them in the bag for a round Mark!!! Show the world that they work and can seriously help the average golfer!

I want to shoot lower scores. I don't give a flying Chinese s@@@e (Jim Royle saying) what the clubs looks like. I'm really pleased Cleveland are back in the club market too.
