Stress can deplete your potassium which can cause muscle twitching. Make sure you're getting enough potassium and magnesium because they work together and taking too much of one or the other can cause an imbalance. Always take magnesium and potassium TOGETHER . Also taking them in the form of a sugar-free electrolyte works perfectly
I had muscle spasms all over my body and was diagnosed as Iron deficiency. Once my iron levels were back normal from taking iron supplements my muscle spasms stopped.
How long does a twitch last for you if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve had bad anxiety for the past few weeks and just 3 days ago my arm has been twitching. Starting to make my anxiety worse to be honest..
I started taking Concerta 36mg to treat ADHD and 3 weeks later I started to get some twitches last about 1-2 seconds mostly on my legs and sometimes on my arms. I had a blood test 3 weeks ago which I learned that I had vitamin D defficiency and really low levels of B12. I also have anxiety disorder, ocd and major depression. There are lots of things might be triggering twitches. My psychiatrist told me it's most probably because of anxiety but to make sure I'll have an appointment with a neurologist. Wish health to y'all. It's the most precious thing a human can get.
I have muscle twitches a little under my heart, which is how I found this video, but it's making my anxiety worse. I over think a lot and sometimes think they're mini heart attacks. I don't think my mom will get what I mean so I can't go to the doctors either.

Are you still having the twitching? I suddenly having twitching over my knee for the past 3 days too and now I’m worrying it as an early onset symptom of ALS
@@suod2817 It started in 2013 when I was only 16 years old. It was at my grandma funeral. She died of pancreatic cancer. Ever since I been having heath anxiety and my first symptoms were headaches and muscle twitches. The headaches lasted for a year straight. I had 2 MRI and cat scan done. Everything came out normal. But I was still fearing for ALS because it takes 5 years for the person to really show symptoms or even death. Of course we are in 2023 10 years later and I still suffer from muscle twitches, tingling and numbness in arms sometimes in my legs. It happens when I lay down but when Im really stressing. When I’m not. I don’t get them at all. I also sometimes get joint pain and burning sensation in the skin. Happens very rarely tho. I also get IBS/GERD symptoms. Last time I went to the ER was in 2017 because I had food poisoning and I thought I had stomach cancer or pancreas cancer. I had something called ileus which was technically a bowel problem. It could of been a intestinal obstruction. It was caused by the bacteria in the food. The main symptoms of ALS is muscle wasting. For the eyes, one table spoon full of organic apple cider vinegar stops it in about 15 min. for me. Just be sure to drive lots of water right after so your tummy doesn't get irritated.
Any female get a random twitch underneath their left breast (overtop of the left rib). i’ve been having it for a few weeks now. it’s intermittent and no necessarily everyday. It feels like my heart is a steady rhythm when this happens so i don’t think it’s that, but it feels pretty consistent even though it’s intermittent? it doesn’t hurt, it’s just annoying.. i can’t seem to find a trigger lol
This used to happen to me but it went away. I still have it sometimes. As i type its happening on my leg. Sometimes i get mad and just start hitting the area, think it made it worse tho.
Last year I started to have tingling in various areas of the body. After a few months they disappeared. However, they recently returned to because I had a very stressful event. The tingling is not worse, it is located more in the feet, but since last week I have felt muscle spasms in different parts of the body, more in the legs. I'm in a panic for fear of being a serious illness.... But at the same time if the tingling were caused by a serious disease, they would not have passed, right?
I feel like I'm going slightly insane. When I was young I had the urge to constantly swipe from the base to the tip of all the fingers on all my hands, and that was really annoying, but that went away and now in the present time i twitch my ears, scrunch my nose to the side, twitch my arm muscle on the opposite end of my elbow, but it doesn't seem involuntary to me. If I sit still and focus on it I can simply not do these twitches, but I notice a distinct 'void-like' feeling due to the lack of stimulation that I'd get otherwise from twitching my arm muscle. Is my behavior when I was young and me in the present linked? Why do I do this? is it a feedback loop just gone terribly wrong to the point that my body has been conditioned into doing this? is it a tic disorder? I don't think it's a tic disorder cause I can control it. I don't know what is wrong with me
But why do our muscles twitch for such a long time??? Even if we are not anxious / sleep deprived etc? I’ve been twitching for 2.5 weeks… heard some people had it for months… but even when we are no longer stressed, it still goes on?
