    Do you recommend the DSG tune with the MR Tuning Stage 2 or is it okay to run it without it? Also when i buy the power gate 4 and tune does he send the tune through email immediately or do i have to send them info from my stock car? Thanks!

  • @themotivator1698

    Question for you. On the mrtuning website it states that for stage 2 they recommend running a 3" exhaust line from the turbo-back. Are they talking about an actual turbo back delete kit and exhaust system or something else? And if so, did you do an exhaust kit and what are you running with the tune

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  Год назад

      Yes if you email them they have a kit, 2.5” stainless turbo back to stock muffler along with the tuning and powergate (was about $1400).
      I believe they also do tuning to keep the “factory downpipe”.

    Отличное видео и анализ разницы. Из всей линейки этих пассатов (2012-2015) дизельный в стоке самый медленный если мы говорим о 0-100 и в первую очередь из-за удушения системой "чистый дизель". Я свой тди купил уже после того как предыдущий владелец сделал в нем тюнинг первой степени. Особенность тюнинга этих пассатов в том, что в блоке управления коробкой стоит лимит по крутящему моменту и когда тюнингую двигатель, например на первую ступень, и при этом ничего не делают с программным тюнингом блока дк250, то в итоге мы получаем пинки коробки при динамических ускорениях (не считая когда педаль газа полностью нажата в пол). Очень большая проблема в этом состояла и в моей стране почти каждый тюнинг этого автомобиля получал проблемы в виде пинков. Я тоже столкнулся с этой проблемой и хорошо, что нашел решение (методом проб и ошибок, опыта других людей) и теперь, когда у меня спрашивают за эту проблему, то я сразу говорю ехать к своему специалисту, который знает как правильно тюнинговать американские пассаты тди. Прикол в том, что на европейских пассатах б7 с такой же парочкой (тди 2 литра и дк250) там программно ничего не нужно трогать и первая ступень прекрасно подходит. Думаю это особенность именно для рынка Северной Америки для того, чтоб любители тюнинга не уничтожали коробку (накручивая крутящий момент до небес) и потом требовали гарантийный ремонт. По сути блокировка блоком управления коробки передач перенисения большого крутящего момента на трансмиссию сохраняет ее в безопасности и в виде побочного эффекта дает ощущения немалого пинка под зад водителю)

    • @vw2usa
      @vw2usa 2 года назад

      Мой тди на первой ступени тюнинга поехал 8.7 секунды в почти 30 градусов жары по цельсию, с включенной esp)) В стоке он при таких же условиях ехал 10 секунд и это соответствует заявлениям производителя. Обидно, что в стоке тди едет медленнее даже архаичного 2.5, который в стоке едет по заявлению производителя, если я правильно помню, 9.2-9.5 секунды до 100)))

      Мои стандартные и настроенные числа не слишком отличаются от ваших, мелодия определенно помогает немного разбудить его, я понимаю, что это не гоночный автомобиль, но немного бодрее приятно с добавленным пробегом. Я бы тоже хотел настроить DSG, но у этого был бюджет, поэтому только тюнинг двигателя.

      @@JoshsJettas я все забывал у тебя спросить одну интересную вещь. Ты из Канады и Passat на видео тоже для канадского рынка. Я так понимаю, что эти Passats для канадского рынка комплектовались заводским подогревателем блока двигателя (подогревателем охлаждающей жидкости). Так же я читал на форумах, что была отзывная кампания по этому поводу так как были случаи воспламенения. Не мог бы ты немножко рассказать про этот заводской подогреватель, принцип его работы, где он находится? Возможно ты сможешь рассказать больше интересного про отзывную кампанию? Мне было бы очень интересно узнать о такой функции так как в моей стране американские пассаты чаще появляются после США и в них нет этого оборудования.

    Coming back to a 2015 passat tdi after selling my original to VW during dieselgate. Put on 200,000 on a wk2 ecodiesel and trying to wind it back a little and get a passat as a daily driver. I havent done a tune on these before. Mr tuner site is a little confusing. Do you have all of the emissions crap up north that we do in the states? Can you go to a stage 2 without any physical mods (is that what you did)? Looking more to jack up fuel economy than power but would take both and trying to figure out the best option to go with?

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  11 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn’t help it’s originally a French website as well. EOC Performance parts sells the kit as well and is a little more friendly website to use. We have all the same stuff up here, they offer an “intact” tune or the “light weight” tune with physical modifications. I did the second option as it had a nox sensor failure and def temperature sensor failure resulting in no start.
      Both Malone and MR Tuning offer both versions whereas Kerma only offers intact tuning. If your in a county/state that is lenient on testing I would get a Malone or Mr tuning intact tune and upgrade to the off-road file down the road if you have issues.

    I have absolutely the same Passat with 200k mileage in Canada, but my average consumption is around 9l/100 km, I drive it mostly in the city and my average speed is 21 km/hour, is that ok and if not what can be a problem and what I have to check or fix? Thank you!

      The city is killer on the mileage, especially in winter. I live in a very rural area and its usually around 5-6l/100km. I'd imagine thats alot of stop and go traffic? I'd personally get an emissions intact tune from MR tuning or Malone, the egr will help with warm up times.

    On the Passats, the 1.8 TSI makes the TDI obsolete. The 1.8t gets the same fuel economy, less maintenance, and has much more power. My best friend has a 2014 Passat 1.8t and he gets 5.7l/100km on the highway. Sometimes he gets into the 4's.

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  10 месяцев назад +2

      I’d agree on power, fuel mileage they easily get low 5’s or high 4’s no matter how you drive. I don’t think you’ll find many 1.8 TSI’s make it to the 500k mark though

    • @brandonfriesen5389
      @brandonfriesen5389 10 месяцев назад

      @@JoshsJettas Definitely agree. His 2014 Passat has gone through an engine because it was misfiring and had low compression when he got it for a deal. The previous owner did terrible maintenance to it and I believe the oil pickup was clogged with sludge and low oil pressure destroyed it inside. It made it to 280,000kms though. But yes the 2.0L TDI will outlast it 5 times over, especially if that TDI is deleted. I just deleted my 3.0L TDI Touareg today and am so relieved I don't have to deal with stupid emissions BS anymore.
