    Will the tune work if the car has had the VW dieselgate fix? Will a DPF and EGR removal help with the power increase? Very informative video, thanks Josh.

    I have a CJAA Jetta Wagon with a Malone tune and Rawtek hardware. Wondering if I need to fork over another $700 to MR or Stevenson to get a smoke tune for a party trick?

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  4 месяца назад

      Im not real familiar on the smoke limiters on these, i'd imagine they use both the MAF and lambda sensors making it hard to "trick" the ecu into adding more fuel

    • @DarkAttack14
      @DarkAttack14 4 дня назад

      @@JoshsJettasit's 100% doable. You can shut off the o2 sensor completely (many tuners do this, some like Stevenson keep it in place and active) and mass air flow is just mapping and maps can be edited.

    Thanks for these great video's. Any downside to using the 55whp rather than the 25whp tune in regards to turbo longevity and fuel mileage?

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  Год назад +1

      mileage shoudnt change much unless your using all that power difference at every red light. As far as longevity i think it just runs 1 psi more, but they keep it within safe limits. Pretty easy to get a bad name in the tuning world if your making the engine/turbo run outside of their limits

    Hi Josh, watching your videos and also doing research about diesel jetta's. My main goal is to get a 2011-2015 TDI jetta and aiming for very good gas mileage and range (1000+km's of Range) with good reliability. I don't care about how fast the car is but I don't mind the extra power and torque the tune would give. Mainly focusing on the good gas usage. I've read up on deleting the car and other little tips and tricks. Could you recommend anything to help me reach this goal on this car? Also some questions: Does the tune with the car deleted improve gas mileage & is the price cost of the tune and deletion of the car worth it in regards to improving reliability and fuel economy? would appreciate the help. thank you!

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  Год назад

      There is a gain when just tuning the car, even more so when deleting. Car doesn’t have to run as hot to regen, runs at optimal performance and don’t have emissions components or sensors to fail. I did a break down on mileage pay back at the end of the video, pays back even faster if you have a component failure

I have a 2013 Golf TDI 6MT and am planning to buy a Flowdirekt kit since I am in Quebec and it would be easier to get it..Can you please tell me where to get that powergate tool and if I can do the tunning safely at home...I then only have to find a shop to install the CR140 delete kit. Here is the situatiom: I was away for 6 months and left thekey to my neighbor who was starting the car every week or 2 for 10-15 min...After I came back on Dec, the DPF issue (which I never had after it was replaced under warranty in Aug 2021) arose and made seriously consider deleting it...After countless regen cycles, the car that was at first driving like a block of cement, drives smoothly now, but the light comes back everytime after I start the car (along with a Nox sensor related check engine)....Few seconds later, it disapears and the check engine remains on the dash...! Would you do the delete for, because the job has to be done by someone I trust...I got in touch with 3 shops and they quoted me form 1200$ to 1700$, but when it came to tune, they said they will be using custom tunes (i.e., None of the ones you mentioned, alias Tunezille, MR Tuning, Neurotuning,...), so I can't trust them with my car...I can drive down there to get ot done! @@GunsNBudder So I think I answered my own question. The first tune I tried was a stage 1 25 HP tune. I tried again with the stage 2 55 HP tune and the glow plug light stopped flashing. I think the stage 1 might only be for vehicles with the emissions intact. I have yet to try the stage 2 25 HP tune but I'm guessing it would work. Now I'm wondering about their new "Econo" tune and also there is supposedly a way to run the 25 HP tune in Drive and the 55 HP tune in Sport mode, but I have bugged their tech support so much this week I might try that next week.
