  • We give a modest scrub down and reveal to you the engine bay that had the engine fire. The pressure washer came out and I scrubbed it up nicely for the 1st time in 17 years. The engine (which by the way is the big 460) .....well that is going to need a bit more work haha!. Do enjoy the pressure washing bit (Its my favorite!) =)

This time I caught your video before the next morning! Today's cruise night was cold, barely above freezing, so I bugged out early and now I'm going to sit by the fireplace and enjoy some lovely Ford content!

Oh please do enjoy! I'm a small channel so I can't post on a regular schedule. Its whenever it gets done uploading and RUclips doing its check of "is this a naughty video or not" haha! Cheers!

That truck is definitely worth saving and putting back on the road. She looks a hell of a lot better already after the pressure wash, well done SM. 🤠

Another satisfying power washing video from the Swede. Glad you listened to your conscience and saved this mid-70s gem! My rank amateur opinion is that the fuel line was kinked post fire or during the fire by the owner to prevent further fuel streams feeding the blaze. I know! This doesn't make much sense either.

My grandfather used one of those york compressors and an old semi truck air tank and made a home made air compressor with it. That york compressor pumped that tank up in no time.

@@SwedeMachine I wound up giving it to my brother. Kinda wish I'd have kept it, but it was super heavy. It pumped up 3 times faster than my harbor freight 3 gallon compressor does, and it was very quiet.

10-4. Once again that’s fantastic that old American iron will just do circles around this cheap junk nowadays.💪🏼👌🏼

I think it may have been an electrical fire. Things short out really easily in an older vehicle, and insulation breaks down. That's my honest, unprofessional opinion anyway. 😅 Cleaned up really well...good job! 👍 Can't wait to see what else is in store for this gem! Thanks for sharing!

That would be a good guess. Ultimately we really won’t know (although that battery had a serious meltdown, either internal short or externally via fire who knows) but everybody’s welcome to throw their opinions down. Glad to share😃👍🏼🤘🏼💯

Nice looking truck with great potential. Is that a 390 FE block?

Negative. It’s the Big Boy 460!💪🏼👌🏼🤘🏼🔥

Is the engine locked up? Not the worst scenario if it is. I think Ford rated those late '70's 460 engines at around 208hp. Low compression and timing sets that were often a few degrees retarded from the factory, so going into it will be a good oppurtunity to wake it up. That's a great truck though!

Hey Tyler! Good to hear from ya! I’m about three months behind on editing content, but as for the engine seized up question: I won’t say directly so I don’t spoil it for everyone, but let’s just say don’t be too hopeful ha ha. About 3 or 4 episodes later we will go over that. Definitely I’m going to put a true timing gear set in here to wake it up! It’s definitely a solid enough truck that is worth getting it back on the road and not scrapping it out. It’s just gonna take a lot of sweat time and equity. Unfortunately, I don’t have fancy hood pins like your Ford pick up has haha! Good to talk to you again Mr Mopar✌🏼👍🏼

Thinking electrical.no hold down on the battery and it coulda bumped the hood and shorted and if it had hood insulation it would have carried clear across.just my 2 cents.
