  • I found the original build sheet for this truck! Totally by accident too! Ill show ya how I extracted it. Plus we gut out most of the interior so it doesn't smell so bad in the shop in the winter time! I know ye'all love the shag carpet, but its done. Trust me lol!!

So sorry to hear that Bill passed away. He was a wealth of knowledge. “What is your life? It is but a vapor which appeareth but for a short time and vanisheth away.” Say I love you today because tomorrow might not come.

That is turning out to be a truck well worth the effort to fix it up. 👍 Very cool to find that build sheet! I'm not sure why they didn't include those with the paperwork inside vehicles back then. They could have just as easily put it in the glove box than stuff it under the seat like that....and in the seat springs even. Wow! Thanks for sharing! 😎

It is really fascinating how the build sheets gets stuck into some random place lol. You think one what to preserve it or keep it with the records. Who knows haha🤣. Definitely worth saving!

Most supercabs I have seen from thar era have a bench seat across the back that folds down flat rather than the jump seats. Nice find.

I think I would like these jump seats better as a bigger person myself trying to squeeze in the back one of these cabs. More legroom. Definitely an interesting option that wasn’t ordered up a lot👍🏼

Glad the floors were solid, I was a little concerned with the leak and all.

Oh man that carpet. I can smell it from experience. That smell, that smelly smell....

On the assemble line, they used cranes to put the bench seats in. If it were captains seats (In broncos) they would do those by hand.

Ah that makes sense. That’s an interesting tidbit with the bronco captain seat option. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it!

That yellow is so vibrant on the lower dash and door jambs, reminds me of some bullshit boutique mustard. And not in a good way, but I guess it's better to imagine the smell of mustard rather than that carpet...
