Bruce, you're getting to be like Matt from Diesel Creek, saving all this old iron and giving it a second chance at life. Nice to see old stuff getting some love👍
To think, You went from Will it starts in backwoods Florida to operating a Big Ole Wrecker Truck!!! "Outstanding Job, I'm So Proud of You!!!! You've Came a Long Way!!!!
If at all possible, you should buy the trailer as well. Then you have a complete set, of old preservable unit and trailer which would be a great attraction both for the channel and the shop. SO glad you went back and found the owner, who knows what you may find once you really get to look. Thanks from UK.
{GET THE TRAILER!!!!} Bruce, this is the type of video that is food to the soul of us "old timers". I started in my misspent youth in 1957 using a 1944 AUTOCAR ex NAVY tractor with a 50 ton winch for a large body shop. Some of those pulls were definately sketchy! Sure brings back many memories. The equipment today is in a different world that what was available then. The age if 6 volt batteries. Those WHITE tractors were very common in fact the gasoline delivery tanker (ATLANTIC RICHFIELD) was one of the first diesels readily available. Please keep up the great videos like this in the future.
This video is the 1st ive Liked in a long time, please dont destroy it Bruce, she is a beautiful old piece of american trucking history, I hope you do it well
You're truly one of a kind. The effort you tap into is unprecedented these days. You're old school facade is captivating and inspiring, hopefully there are some younger folk watching your videos and getting an education, getting not only an education but also picking up some lifelong lessons on being honest, working hard and most of all remaining positive when it seems the world is full of obstacles that seek to hold your passion still.
24 years ago I got to work a little on a 47 white Super Power just like this. It has a Straight 6 cylinder gas engine. The White script was cast into every part of the engine. And the box under the dash is the same heater the one I worked on had. Cool trucks always liked the looks of them.
Bruce just over here the whole time "do not touch the trim" 😂 love seeing old iron saved like that even if you dont restore it someone might want to. Would look good just out in front of the shop with some clear coat or shine juice on it.
Brings back memories of some ass busting work. In the 80s, the company I worked for has a '62 White. It was white in color. At that time we delivered primarily produce. They even had an old single axle trailer that had an antique refrigeration system for the lack of a better description. Used ice not freon. I didn't have any experience with it and I'm don't regret that. No turbo, just the engine. Drug going up a hill and fly going down.
That old White is badass for sure, you guys should definitely go back n save the trailer that was hooked up to it. Grab the VW pickup as well, really desirable among the VW people.
There should be some points to attach a snach block to real low on the back of your rotator to redirect the winch line to be able to pull low to the ground so you wont get in to the bumper
That old girl DESERVES a complete RESTORATION! She'd be a PERFECT Candidate - all original and COMPLETE and undamaged! It would be GREAT for Parades, etc - You could paint your logo on the doors and the trailer and even put her to work occasionally!
These were built with flat head in line six cylinder gas engines, usually had a straight 5 speed and straight rear ends. My Dad and uncle drove these in the 50's in w. Pa. Oh,the stories they told !!!
My Dad drive an old White like that over the road in the early 1950’s during the summer months working his way through school. Hot tough work back then. Not a real comfortable ride on the long haul either. Sure like to see that one up and running. Handsome old girl.
I say to remove the loose rust, and then use a clear coat to stop the rust any further, but will then keep the rustic charm on the 50 year old truck, then find another one to restore to full glory then park them both together as a garage moto one either side of the driveway.
While serving in Vietnam there are so many service members not yet found! Let's never forget them! When I use to run in my Peterbilt coast to coast I would see these all over the place. Now they are hard to find!
Honestly: take the super-massive job on restoring the White. Not necessary to showroom level, but "nice working truck" level of restoration. WITH THE TRAILER! That would be beyond amazing, because White trucks are something you can't find anywhere these days. Well, maybe Australia, but they are going fast and it's part of trucking history in itself.
I cant wait to see this restored and looking beautiful. The trailer should be grabbed as well. Just the teeny view of the front of the trailer looked vintage as well.
Those old White trucks came with all kinds of engines in the many different models over the years, some models even had gas engines, like a 440 big block, and others had Cummins turbo-diesel engines, and some of the smaller compact trucks had Ford, Perkins, or Detroit Diesel engines in them. Yesterday I thought it was like a 1946, but they all look alike, but now looking at the front wheels It must be around a 1950 or newer.
I have never watched your channel before. I AM HOOKED (no pun intended) after watching this recovery. What a stunnung beauty of a tractor. This is an amazing find. Great work.
That White tractor probably at the start had a straight 6 gas motor made by White motor company. Monstrous things to work on. I’m think that that tractor can out after the White Mustangs also known as Snubnose, the hood was barely three feet long and with a 220 cummins in it with a ten speed road ranger the stick shift was touching the back wall of the cab. Drove one during the tomato season in Chatham On. for Charron transport.
Buy the trailer too. Truck and trailer been together so long it would be like separating a mother from her newborn. Definitely would be a sight at a truck show when both can be restored to its glory.
Original engine was a continental flathead gasoline, some had Hallscot propane engines. Some may have had flathead 6 cylinder made by White Motor. None of these came with a diesel that I ever saw.
Bruce you need to get in touch with Ron Pratt. He's got a wrecker like your's. He's a god when it comes to it. His company is Midwest truck out of Missouri.
That's an old Sckool vintage beauty when restoring it looks like a 1930's era tractor Bruce and it's a white 🤍 Ford motor company made white tractor's back in the day i was doing some research bro.😊
My kind of a Truck, I wish I was sixty years younger and knew what I know now. I would still have my first trucks running and working. Government killed Trucking when Nixon was President. Thanks to him many of we Mid America Truckers lost everything and have never been able to recuperate.
The 2 loves of my life after my wife is old iron and Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery. You can learn a lot about your rotator, but it takes years to master. Much like learning how to work on the old trucks, it only comes with experience. Make sure to always work within your Working Load Limits (WLL), and use cable breaking techniques for winch pulls. Your spreader bar would have been good to spread out the pull for that load to avoid the sharper angle from the front to the rear of that truck when you hoisted it up.
I have a '52 White Super Power schoolbus, with the original running engine, a White 318 cu. in. straight six flathead. Gets around 7 mpg but what a blast on a camping trip!
hey Bruce, if you want to learn how to work with a rotator, I would apprentice with Josh and Alex from PEPE Towing in LA, those guys can quickly and effectively teach you how to work with a rotator and it would be good for your channel if 2 vloggers working together I look forward to your collaboration, I think it would be fun
They were also called white mustangs drove a few 220 Cummins non turbo wilson trucking had a bunch of them in Richmond VA. They also had white cab overs
Serious comment this time…both truck are awesome I agree with some of the other comments I think the white would look awesome brought back to its original state.
Bruce, this would be awesome truck to restore and have it at “MATS” 2025. I think you should get the trailer. I know you aren’t really into the entire restoration scene, but I bet with some help and maybe some other RUclipsrs helpful hands, this can happen. This “WHITE” frieghtliner truck is so cool.
Bruce my vw rabbit truck was a diesel and it got 50mpg. Not much power or speed but really wish I had one now with fuel prices the way they are. Love your videos! Former Werner Enterprises Million Miler and former Landstar owner operator.
WHO SAYS THAT????? The WC was the last of the Whites with bodies designed by an actual artist. The WB-20 was the best looking conventional cab White, IMHO. THE WC is a very close second. Just because it doesn’t have the super cool air inlet on the cowl. These are fantastic looking trucks. Only better looking is a White 3000 if you ask me.
Buy the trailer too and restore both
Agreed keep the combo
@@dustinbelknap9207 and some of the parts will have to be made by hand… don’t think I have ever seen any body panels hand made on Bruce’s channel.
Buy the trailer too. Vintage stuff like that should be kept together.
They have been a matching pair for decades it's only right to keep them together
Yes,and get rid of the added on axle and make it single axle.
You should restore the white & the trailer together, They would be the gems of the channel!
Buy the trailer keep it together
Keep the trailer with the truck
Bruce, you're getting to be like Matt from Diesel Creek, saving all this old iron and giving it a second chance at life. Nice to see old stuff getting some love👍
Bruce would just ruin it or tear it up 😢
Matt saves the old stuff and keeps it going on original stuff❤
I was thinking the same thing
Matt actually keeps it and fixes it. Bruce will more than likely just take it somewhere and leave it or part it out later.
There's no comparison.
Restore the rigs and keep the rigs. Having historic trucks is a honor.
The trailer is part of history. This is so cool watching you guys rescue these vehicles 👏👏👏
Yes, It is history. When it runs, I am thrilled as you are.
To think, You went from Will it starts in backwoods Florida to operating a Big Ole Wrecker Truck!!! "Outstanding Job, I'm So Proud of You!!!! You've Came a Long Way!!!!
It will take a lot of work and money, but you will have video content for months.
Look forward to watching it come back to life.
Fix it and buy the trailer to and fix that also! Nice old combi
THAT OLD WHITE IS TRULY A GEM! NOT MANY OF THOSE LEFT IN THE WORLD THAT AREN'T RUSTY THRASH PILES. IT WOULD BE AWESOME TO RESTORE...
These old trucks are just as cool as the classic cars of the times, they all have their place in history and interest!
If at all possible, you should buy the trailer as well. Then you have a complete set, of old preservable unit and trailer which would be a great attraction both for the channel and the shop. SO glad you went back and found the owner, who knows what you may find once you really get to look. Thanks from UK.

It's so heartwarming to see people taking the time to restore these classics. Hats off to you!
This video is the 1st ive Liked in a long time, please dont destroy it Bruce, she is a beautiful old piece of american trucking history, I hope you do it well

Lake has turned out to be quite the competent helper. Great job Lake!
If you can rebuild this please save it. It will be worth it. Thank you keep up the great work buddy 👍
I’m soo happy to see you guys trying to save an old truck instead of destroying it. Good luck to everyone.!
Love seeing the Ole iron saved from scrap thank you brother
Bruce, if you restore this beauty, it will be an outstanding truck period!!!
Bruce you might wanna have information about the towing from Ron Pratt at Midwest Truck. He is the man when it comes to towing
The rotator he has looks a lot like Ron prats
Was about to suggest the same thing.
Ron Pratt would not approve of this loading method! 🙂
24 years ago I got to work a little on a 47 white Super Power just like this. It has a Straight 6 cylinder gas engine. The White script was cast into every part of the engine. And the box under the dash is the same heater the one I worked on had. Cool trucks always liked the looks of them.
Buy, Restore both of those two rigs Bruce!
Bruce just over here the whole time "do not touch the trim" 😂 love seeing old iron saved like that even if you dont restore it someone might want to. Would look good just out in front of the shop with some clear coat or shine juice on it.
What's wild is that 50 years ago was 1974. Man I feel old
Brings back memories of some ass busting work. In the 80s, the company I worked for has a '62 White. It was white in color. At that time we delivered primarily produce. I like that a lot the enthusiasm and Bruce's voice about saving it bringing it back to life
You should buy the trailer keep it with the truck fix it up put FCR salvage on the side and use it as a sign for at the shop best lawn art ever
There should be some points to attach a snach block to real low on the back of your rotator to redirect the winch line to be able to pull low to the ground so you wont get in to the bumper

Now that's a piece of history, take good care of it 🇸🇪
That's badass body style truck Bruce hope to see you get it going ok later
Bruce, if you have not seen the 70s movie called Duel with Dennis Weaver, you should. This Truck made me recall the movie.
Joey member I remember that movie I watched it a couple of times
Joey member that old Peterbilt in the movie had a bumper that you couldn't damage
I say to remove the loose rust, and then use a clear coat to stop the rust any further, but will then keep the rustic charm on the 50 year old truck, then find another one to restore to full glory then park them both together as a garage moto one either side of the driveway.
thank you bruce for saving that ole white super power and the ole pete cabover
While serving in Vietnam there are so many service members not yet found! Let's never forget them! When I use to run in my Peterbilt coast to coast I would see these all over the place. Now they are hard to find!
That old White would make an awesome parade/show truck to promote the channel.
You should put it back to its normal glory.Would be a nice looking unit.
you can tell is a real passion in this buisness
Honestly: take the super-massive job on restoring the White. Not necessary to showroom level, but "nice working truck" level of restoration. WITH THE TRAILER! That would be beyond amazing, because White trucks are something you can't find anywhere these days. Well, maybe Australia, but they are going fast and it's part of trucking history in itself.
I hope you come back for the trailer. Can't wait to see it back on the road
Just love to see these old beauties being rescued.
I cant wait to see this restored and looking beautiful. The trailer should be grabbed as well. Just the teeny view of the front of the trailer looked vintage as well.
I will say mad respect to you Bruce because you took very nice care of this truck to get it from one place to another
They don't make trucks like that anymore glad you rescued it

you found gold my man those good ole semi's are beautiful machines
I agree get that trailer not many of them left. Nice job with the rotator👍 a little training helps
That is an awesome truck!
Thanks for sharing the restoration process! I’ve learned a lot from your video!
Buy the trailer too. Truck and trailer been together so long it would be like separating a mother from her newborn. Definitely would be a sight at a truck show when both can be restored to its glory.
I’ve been gone from the channel for awhile just haven’t been clicking on the videos but glad to see yall are doing well 💪🏻
Dude a maching trailer with an old truck would be sick
Your back get-r-done, keep up the good work.
Original engine was a continental flathead gasoline, some had Hallscot propane engines. Some may have had flathead 6 cylinder made by White Motor. None of these came with a diesel that I ever saw.

Both the truck and trailer would look great together and fully restored
A full restore would be so so nice
Go back and get the trailer it was hooked up to restore them both !!!! It would be a great combo to take to truck shows !
My kind of a Truck, I wish I was sixty years younger and knew what I know now. I would still have my first trucks running and working. Government killed Trucking when Nixon was President. Thanks to him many of we Mid America Truckers lost everything and have never been able to recuperate.
Buy the Trailer if it in good enough shape Bruce that Trailer looks good with the truck.
Love to see this thing all fixed up! See it back on the road would be awesome
Please get it back going and running that is a cool piece of trucking history

I love restoring old vehicles!! This thing is kook!!! Also love seeing you rescuing old iron with the new iron!!
Rescue the trailer also!!
I have an old old rusted 20' single axle semi tanker that would look great behind the super white.
I have a '52 White Super Power schoolbus, with the original running engine, a White 318 cu. in. straight six flathead. Gets around 7 mpg but what a blast on a camping trip!
Hope you show more videos on this truck
I've been watching all your videos. You do an amazing job! Sending my super thanks!!

That's a good old looking truck, the best thing is that you can get everything to rebuild it and parts for it and make it run again 👍👍❤️
😢😮
I love what you do fixing up the old trucks and cars ❤😊
Serious comment this time…both truck are awesome I agree with some of the other comments I think the white would look awesome brought back to its original state.
Casey Ladelle found that adding a bungee with 2 carabiners will save you the cost of a light bar if the hooks let loose.
Get that trailer to its sweet old school classic
Both tractor and trailer restored would be an epic video to watch
Get the trailer too! Make them both truck show winners!
You should buy the trailer and white and restore both of them
What a cool White. I’m glad you can save another Pete. I look forward to the updates.
Always loved that front clip design.
Great styling on this old beauty.
Bruce my vw rabbit truck was a diesel and it got 50mpg. Not much power or speed but really wish I had one now with fuel prices the way they are.
Love your videos! Former Werner Enterprises Million Miler and former Landstar owner operator.
Hello from Moosomin,Saskatchewan,Canada you have great videos and great at communicating. Thanks for sharing😊😊😊
That is a cool antique! Hopefully, the field mice jumped out on the ride, or you need a couple of cats.
Give wrecker rick a call at Murphys Diesel. He'll have you trained up on that ol girl quick. Learning by doing. Love watching yall do stuff like this.
Отличная техника. Такую бросать нельзя!
Put that truck and trailer as a billboard for the scrap yard
Apparently a lot of people say these were some of the ugliest trucks White ever made, I say otherwise
They’re not my favorite looking trucks, but definitely cool
