I hope it gets restored with the bits it has on it in place to freshened up. Looks like such a beast and an epic survivor at that! Gotta be a late 40s or early 50s.
I started in 1990 age 22 a 1974 Ford 9000 13sp Cummins sounds crazy but it was a 16 yr old truck. One of many on the road back then. Was my mother's, she owned a grading and septic / trucking business The #1 truck was a restored 1969.. 359 13sp Cummins. She had 50 different trucks over the years all Cummins power and one the newest 1995 mack all purchased new. Why no Detroit or cat? She said Cummins treated her good and all made money. The Mack? She said it was too good a deal to turn down.
1975 here... R model. 237 with a 5 speed hauling grain to Louisville and Indy. We farmed a couple thousand acres about midways between the two. Just don't put a nice radio in them because they will get the Hell beat out of them.
My Dad worked at a Mack Truck dealer here in Oregon. He worked himself to death trying to get us lunk heads enough to eat. A good man, and I truly miss him. Rest in piece Pop.
A driver for Alberings wrecker service Seymour Indiana trashed the entire transmission on our very nice Cabover International. Too damn lazy to unhook the driveshaft and it jumped in gear while being towed. Broke several gears bent the input shaft ect. MORONS!! So yeah kids don't be lazy or stupid lol.
My grandpa drove a rig like that until the 80s, it still sits out in his shop and jeez is it just a beast. He bought it brand new back in the 60s. Replaced it with a 1993 Marmon winch rig.
These Mack trucks was the work horse trucks for Dierks lumber company hauling logs out of the mountains of western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma back in the 60's.My dad drove one .
We have a 1978 GMC BRIGADIER that is sitting in the grass right now that thing has s lot of value on her. She was the one of the first trucks we've owned on the farm and I want to get it back on the road again!!
My dad drove a '48 LJ wrecker with an integral sleeper - special ordered by Akers Motor Lines for picking up wrecks and breakdowns all over the south and northeast . As a child, i loved hearing that perfectly tuned rattle with it parked in front of our house- while my mother packed him sandwiches and coffee for long trips. Can you make this one run again !??
Hey there is a blue and white international cabover on the left right past Showtime trailers in Clarkrange. I kept telling you all them trucks was sitting there. I used to live in that Brown trailer years ago I would work on my off-road rigs in that old garage out back. I had a jump built in the backyard when I come flying past the trailer launch them to test the suspension.
I think that old Mack will fire up easier than the White. I want to see them both fire up, but I would not be disappointed if you put the Mack ahead of the White. That Mack seems like it wants to come back alive, the motor ain't stuck.
Those forks are for round axles like a ford f550, not a square axle. Make sure the axle always sits flat in the bottom of the frame fork otherwise you can over stress the fork and break it.
These revories of The old abaned equipment is great !!! New stuff is also but, nothing shows the younger generation what it was like to work ! Great job guys !
As a current winch truck driver in the Bakken oilfield it’s cool to see that things haven’t changed much since back in the day driving old retired trucks with a winch system thrown on the back I’m currently driving a 1998 w900 would be awesome to see a winch put back on the ole girl and put her to work!
She’s the older Mack B model. Looks to a B61. Can tell she’s got the flat stepped tanks and the mirrors brackets give the age of era she’s from. Around the earlier mid fifties before 1960. They made slight changes after that with the fuel tanks and mirror brackets. Looks to be on 24 inch rubber with 58k camel back suspension and a 711 thermodyne engine putting little over 210hp
Bruce, I grew up in Oxford Michigan, which at the time according to the Brittanica encyclopedia was the gravel capital of the world(1960-1970), I'm 66 years old & I still remember seeing new B Model Macks pulling Fruehauff gravel trailers!! Bruce, those Mack rear axles, all you needed to do was pull the axle shafts
Couple of observations: 1. Idk about a trans this old but you should really pull the drive shaft instead of putting it in neutral if towing with the drive tyres on the ground to not spin the trans without lubrication. 2. Hard to tell on video so might be irrelevant here but kinda looked like the axle wasn't quite sitting fully in the throat of the forks so a wider fork may have been needed if that was the case. 3. The tiedown on the forks only needs to be tight enough to stop the front axle from bouncing the 3-5 inches out of the forks and leaving a little slack means their isn't a risk of the chains tightening up as the truck in tow pivots on the forks as you go over bumps and whatnot. 4. No safety chains?
Great history and video, Bruce ! This one was an extra good one. Would have been fun to hear more from Lake - we can't get enough of hearing stories from our Elders and what they saw and experienced over the years.
I would definitely recommend replacing your traditional winch cable with a Yankam synthetic cable. It’s what Casey Ledelle uses and it would be perfect for the type of situations y’all get into. Your content’s only getting better Bruce, thanks so much!! 🔥🔥❤️
Those B model Macks are my favorite! The Tow rig is looking good !! During drone footage, I noticed you standing in front of the Mack along the cable, very dangerous zone, be safe. Love the content.
i noticed someone stepping over a cable that in the white video also. maybe they weren't under tension, but if it is a habit its only a matter of time before you step over a tensioned cable. Good practice to take the extra steps and go around every time.
The company I work for we used to rent a bay from a guy that owned a big crane company in ma and his hobby is restoring old Mack’s, It was cool pulling up to the shop every morning he would always have a new project in the parking lot waiting to be restored. He even has a few chain driven Mack’s. He would turn a old beat up Mack into one that looks like they just rolled off the showroom floor
Hey Bruce, you need to learn how to chain sling trailers, either find a video on Pepe’s towing, he’s got a RUclips channel, or I think Casey Ladelle also did a video on chain sling, works great to move trailers with a tow truck like yours
Bruce, through all the videos you've done I just wanted You to know I've learned a boat load of how to from You!!! I Thank You Sir!!! I'm to the point I can't wait for the next video cause I know sure as neck I'm gonna learn something!!!!
I really like your clips because I have a passion for fixing everything since childhood. I believe that every broken thing can be fixed. It's like happiness and success. If I can fix that thing, I will be very happy. Follow every clip. Love from Thailand
29:05 I have seen a semi truck demolition derby, about 35 years ago at a big motor show in Arrowhead Stadium. You couldn't go in reverse all the time because all the trucks had trailers. Getting the trailer bashed off was the first goal of most of the drivers, as I dimly recall. There is a tiny little bit of footage from it on YT somewhere.
That was my Christmastree😂! I love trucks. Speciale the old truck. Scania 111. And old Volvo trucks. Scania V8! FOR EVER. GO IN STYLE! Greetings from Bunschoten-Spakenburg, Netherlands.
Hey there Bruce I'm one of your fans and I have two Cabovers near me, one is a GMC and the other is a Kenworth. I live in Aberdeen WA, I don't know what model they are but if your videos tell me anything it doesn't matter.😊
whoever was editing this video needs to keep the music in the background. I had to adjust the sound level 3 or 4 times because the music was way too loud when it was inserted. If you want to make great video's, remember... its the little things. Cool Truck.
BRUCE, SERIOUSLY I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE DAY WHEN YOU PICK UP A GMC CCKW 353 BECAUSE I REALLY WOULD LIKE YOU TO RESTORE IT, ANY OLD TRUCKS LIKE THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM BUT AS REGARDS TO THE MACK MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ONE IS THE ONE THAT WAS IN CONVOY THE RUBBER DUCK DROVE EVEN THOUGH I AM REALLY HOPING TO OWN ONE OF MY OWN.
Ya'll go Visit brooklynbedding.com/brucewilson to get 25% off your mattress with code brucewilson
I love the revivals and rescues. The places you pull the trucks from are almost as interesting as the trucks themselves
what year is the mack truck
I hope it gets restored with the bits it has on it in place to freshened up. Looks like such a beast and an epic survivor at that!
Gotta be a late 40s or early 50s.
Started my truck driving career 1979 on a 1965 B 61 Mack twin sticker. The truck is now a show truck. Great memories.

Brother they just threw you in the deep end and said "SWIM, son!" Hahaha
Love to read that the old beast is still alive and well and now working to make people smile and remember the old days.
1975 here... R model. 237 with a 5 speed hauling grain to Louisville and Indy. We farmed a couple thousand acres about midways between the two. Just don't put a nice radio in them because they will get the Hell beat out of them.
My first was a tri plex if you got both sticks in neutral going down the road had to stop to get it back in gear
My Dad worked at a Mack Truck dealer here in Oregon. He worked himself to death trying to get us lunk heads enough to eat. A good man, and I truly miss him. Rest in piece Pop.
You may as well get used to doing things right by always pulling the drive shaft when towing from the front.
That was my thought too! Or pull the axle shafts
He will learn the hard way when he destroys something and it costs him big time
@@anthonybarton2103 Something like a Mack Quadraplex gearbox. Do that just once and he'll learn the expensive way.
A driver for Alberings wrecker service Seymour Indiana trashed the entire transmission on our very nice Cabover International. Bruce still has a lot to learn! I still like that he does keep trying and is fairly honest, unlike other trucking RUclips channels.
The "nation wide is not on my side" spray painted on the side of that white truck was hilarious
He'll yea I saw that too and started cracking up😂
Never seen a triple framed truck before. Awesome find!
Nothing beats OLD TRUCK footage. 😁👍
These Mack trucks was the work horse trucks for Dierks lumber company hauling logs out of the mountains of western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma back in the 60's.My dad drove one .
Kenny’s a hoot. You should keep him on the channel👍
keep saving those old trucks Bruce. you the man of revovery and will it start
Put your forks between the u bolts on axle. Correct way. Plus no safety chains. Friendly advise. Do it everyday.
Dang Bruce you should get this Mack truck running and driving and use it for towing it would be a amazing piece of history
YES - this is the content I like to watch.
That will be really cool to bring back to life that old Mack!!
Keep on rescuing the old iron before it all ends up at the crusher. Absolutely love these videos. Best content I've seen on this channel in a while.
He'll send it to the crusher lol. After it runs through the chop shop. Guy of many projects that get ruined
We have a 1978 GMC BRIGADIER that is sitting in the grass right now that thing has s lot of value on her. She was the one of the first trucks we've owned on the farm and I want to get it back on the road again!!
Not very valuable, ugly too lol
Used to drive one of those Mack’s for an oils field cement company back in the day. Trick was sticking your arm in the steering wheel to shift.
My grandfather owned and operated three of those with the help of two other guys, there sharp when restored.
That right there is 16 levels of cool!

Great job on recovering that old Mack truck! 💪
I think that old Mack will fire up easier than the White. I want to see them both fire up, but I would not be disappointed if you put the Mack ahead of the White. That Mack seems like it wants to come back alive, the motor ain't stuck.
You got something against Whites?
Nothing like being prepared and dang it you aint nothing like being prepared. got them blutooth safety chains also lolzzz

Love this kind of content. Old iron . Can’t wait to see it fired up.

I like seeing the footage of old trucks getting rescued
You guys got 2 bad ass old trucks that needs to be show trucks.

I remember my Pops driving an old B model Macks like that when I was a kid.
It crazy that hood isn't rotted. Those old Macks are cool!

Missed opportunity to name this video "Return of the Mack" - like the Mark Morrison hit song. 😁😎
Love the content this week, old style BW. Find, explain, buy, and recover - awesome.
my grandfather was obsessed with B model macks .... First truck I ever drove at 5 yrs old made me learn how to back up low bed
In the 60s Macks with “quaudraplex” we’re pretty common for cement mixers and heavy haulers
Too classic tractors Bruce has two collectors items 😊 fix'em up worth alot of money 💰😊
Great history and video, Bruce ! This one was an extra good one. Would have been fun to hear more from Lake - we can't get enough of hearing stories from our Elders and what they saw and experienced over the years.
Quadraplex,is a 2 stick 5x4,18 forward and 4 reverse,at 250 HP or less it used everyone of those gears
Keep that truck its a beautiful truck and its a history that is hard to come by
I would definitely recommend replacing your traditional winch cable with a Yankam synthetic cable. It’s what Casey Ledelle uses and it would be perfect for the type of situations y’all get into. Your content’s only getting better Bruce, thanks so much!! 🔥🔥❤️
Dang you sure got some fancy equipment
Dam that Pete looks good 💯
The Mack definitely needs to get fired up first, it’s got more potential
I'm definitely a fan of the old trucks, back then they had some style and class. Very enjoyable content!
Probably a Spicer 4-speed trans with a 4-speed aux trans. My Grandfather's Diamond T had the same setup.
Lakes over like “my names lake”😂and bruce over here putting strangers to work😂😂
Love the content!
Have a lot of time in a “B” model 2 stick Mack both as a dump body & a 5th wheel. When a truck was a truck!!!
Engines a 673 or 711. In front of the injection pump on the block by the front timing cover is a stamp that should tell you
Oh I love it that's back in my days cuz I had one of them I would love to see them that was my favorite truck back in the day
That is sweet I love the wrecker
Why not disconnect the driveshaft?!?!?!?
It would have rolled down the hill like it was in neutral which he didn’t want to happen!
@@nitrotagger9437chock it and drag it
absolutely love it will it starts and recovery of some vintage semi trucks
Years ago when a vehicle hit a tree you always asked how the tree was. Today you hit a tree limb and the vehicle is totalled.
Maybe you should have put the Zack lift on a day cab that you're not afraid to scratch 😮
I don't like content like this, I LOVE content like this.

Hey Bruce, you need to learn how to chain sling trailers, either find a video on Pepe’s towing, he’s got a RUclips channel, or I think Casey Ladelle also did a video on chain sling, works great to move trailers with a tow truck like yours
9:34 "that's the ticket" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Essa reforma, tenho certeza, vai render ótimos vídeos para o canal!!!
Keep picking up these old trucks, I think it’s awesome. I would like to see them running again. Great content 😊
LOVE the old Mack trucks!!!! Great video👊👍
love to see you picking up the old stuff that needs to be saved.
Bruce, through all the videos you've done I just wanted You to know I've learned a boat load of how to from You!!! I Thank You Sir!!! I'm to the point I can't wait for the next video cause I know sure as neck I'm gonna learn something!!!!
Damn dude! Hustling non stop. Awesome to see the growth over these past few years for you man.
That’s the official Bruce max truck .(mad max) you should put it out front as a shop show piece
I love this style videos

I'm thinking that worrying about the truck engine starting is the least of your problems at this point
Randy and lake needs a raise

love Mack trucks I have a 1960 B with 6 cyl Mack with twin screws that i am restoring

Don't no anything about American trucks but I love this you tube video
Your doing good .your channel makes me want to drive a semi truck.awsome content. The mack is awsome .
I drove 1955 Mack's like that for J. A. Tobin Construction in 1962.
