Wayne at this rate your gonna have all the 12 powered Pete's 🤣 save some for the rest of us!
Gotta catch em all. 😁
Better hurry up buddy lmao
@@Ol2StrokerYeah you do!!! 😁👍 Nice to see you got a couple more Wayne-O!! Awesomeness!
Least you know where to get them at.
Frank you know I'm the treasure hunter 🧐😂
I love how enthusiastic you get over all these old trucks, it's awesome. Much props to you for saving them as well :D
This is why I was put on this earth. The big man upstairs must be fond of old trucks and 2 cycles!
Even on video you can tell Wayno's green truck has a better tune up job than most 2 strokers you hear. Crisp sounding.
Thanks 🤟🤟
That triple axle is awesome. Great save.
If only I had money....
Absolutely he talks like that. They are gorgeous. They’re both gonna shine up nice. Can’t wait.
@@ericbrumley9026 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember the sound of these engines from a gunboat I served on in Vietnam in 1970. What a truck!
Badass 🤟
My step dad’s dad has two fords on the farm a 70’s L9000 and a mid 80’s LTL9000 in pristine condition. Runs em every fall. They are amazingly comfortable trucks
Badass!
Great video and great that you saved not one, but two old Pete's with 12V-71's!
Bahaha God bless Bacon for driving your truck and letting you sit shotgun 🤣 and can confirm he talks like that 😂😂😂
Wow what a find they ruled the road im so happy for you get em going again fun stuff
Thanks man!
I've driven many trucks in my time. Most experimental. We beat the shit out of them as part of a comparison
process. There were treadmills. Buildings that were kept many degrees below zero. They were used as part
of the fleet. There was roads with railroad ties spaced out at certain intervals to test suspension. You name it
and we had a way to test it to make our trucks better that the competition. On of the most comfortable trucks
I have driven was a Ford 9000. Besides being comfortable, the controls were ergonomically placed in locations
that made the truck easier to operate. Also the gauges on the dash were all in good spots . Nothing was hidden
behind the steering wheel. The Ford was like sitting in a cockpit. I loved it.
@OdySlim the only thing I hated bout the Louie was the fact the dash is a catch all weather it was dust flying in the cab or pens along the ledge.. and God forbid if a man was a smoker instrument cluster looked like and ashtray in 2 loads of dirt
@@Jyarber102 That's funny. I love your thoughts about Ford. It dosent bother me any as they didin pay my check. Merry Christmas Brother
@@OdySlim you too man
When you had a reason for a long hood!
The Buzzin Doszen!
😂
A couple nice old time capsules. Can’t wait to see them running. I work around Dexter. Pretty rare old barn finds. Thanks for the videos.
How can one guy have so many cool trucks that's awesome
Your Bacon imitation was pretty spot on 🤣 Both sweet trucks but that cab over is over the top fuckin cool!
Bahahahahah he's gonna be pissed!
That place is a literal time capsule, thanks for the great content wayno!
It really was thanks for watchin!
@Ol2Stroker you're welcome!
Very cool. Also 5 miles from my house I would have freaked the _ out if I saw you rolling down the road with these!
Dang i wish you had!!!
I started Driving in 92 hauling equipment for my parents, drive Dump trucks. Mechanic got a 12v71 Astro running for a backup. Old guy. He said listen kid this M F er has enough power to Destroy itself. Those Cummins you been running are Toys 😂
My kinda guy!!
Love the sound of a Detroit. Great find keep up the great work and stay safe out there.
Growing the hurd. Your going to catch up with James soon. Great Video.
What a bunch of Units... You don't see clean original trucks like that anymore. Thanks Uncle Wayno for bringing us along!
I'm super excited, thanks for watching!
The LTL9000 has always been one of my favorite trucks for looks.
Same. Especially with the fog lights and sleeper!
We've been waiting for this one to drop.
😁😁 hope it was worth the wait!
@Ol2Stroker wyane it sure was. And now we are all waiting for the first starts.
Coming soon!
So your the guy to talk to when i need a 12v71 for a F model Mack
Happy to help!
SOLID GOLD!!!!! I am biased and prefer west coast spec but I am soooo glad you are now the owner!!! CANNOT WAIT TO SEE er Wayno'd!!!! Merry Christmas and shoooowheee were cooking in 25 w content dude!
Definately agree with you on the old tube type rims. I still have them on my old GMC and it's really part of the vintage look!
They're my favorite!
Heck yeah!
Wow love them old trucks first Louisville I drove was a 8V-71 (318) Detroit powered a nation .That Crack out of the exhaust is music to my hears. Lol the younger generation some of them can't even drive a standard there license is stamped A for automatic up here in N S
Hell yeah
Very Nice. The 4070B reminded me of one of the trucks that my dad drove, every time he climbed in that truck, he would have an XL smile
Thanks alot, like I really needed another thing to spend money and time on. Off to marketplace to search for a project truck with a Detroit in it. My powerstroke pulls my racecar fine but an old Pete would do it cooler.
Everyone should have one!
I gotta tell ya these videos don't do the trucks justice they're really beautiful rides
Hard to capture them accurately
Wayne, just joined the Patreon and ordered a fat cab hoodie to go with my ol2stoker flag. Keep on saving these trucks!!
Thanks brother I sure appreciate the support!
Nothing screams 1970's like tube type bias ply tires on aluminum wheels.
It’s always nice to see the old stuff keep them going
I'm remembering B.J and the Bear. Verrrry nice find.
Thanks Wayne for all the videos this year and the effort you put in, looking forward to next year. You're keeping it real that's so important. You and yours have good and safe Christmas and New year. See you later mate.
Thanks brother Merry Christmas!
What a treat( snaking your expression) both these truck are beautiful. My fave part is u playing stick stick with the pup
I loved that dog!!!
@Ol2Stroker I wanna pet that dawg!! Meme🤣🤣
Such a good boy!
Growing up in the 80s and 90s that was the sound that got me going! Man I miss that
♥️ same!
The double breasted Yamaha, the sweet sound of high RPM’s!
Had a 318 , 5X4, and 4.64 rears.
What a SCREAMER!
Fun truck to drive. Hard as hell to ride in,( 4 rubber pad suspension- no give)!
Sounds like a pile of fun and a sore back!
Beautiful trucks, and beautiful Red Heeler. Wish my Heeler/collie was that friendly to new people
Chip was awesome i loved him!
Them ol better rings on the rim does make the truck look like a semi id have to agree 👍
Glad I'm not the only guy who absolutely loves the LTL9000 Ford trucks. Shame they're never seen on the road anymore. The 80s were definitely peak America!
The look with the 4 fog lights in the bumper is classic ford. One of the best looking trucks of all time
Great video Wayne glad you're finding these virtual time capsules of Peterbilt 12v71 Detroit long hood tri- drive and the Cabover too. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Wayne.
Man. I wish there was an automotive size 2 stroke that made that sound.
Man what a find!
I love those old two strokes and hopefully I have the opportunity to have one someday
Everyone should have one!
I drove many LTL 9000 or great trucks. I personally owned a 1985 CLT 9000. They used to call them to STORY Etzel’s mine had a 400 Cat with a 15 DIRECT and 411 pulled super bees with it tankers 70 mile an hour uphill and downhill lol rears on 20 inch rubber she could pull like a bastard and down.
That's badass!!
Dexter! That's not too far from me.
Congrats on finding two 12V71's trucks.. they both will be the talk of the town..
Two beautiful Pete's.
Those ol strokers sound pissed off. Love it
Yea they do!
Spent a lot of time offshore fishing. Older boats with strokers. Run offshore steaming for 6+hrs. Partially deaf by the time we wet our lines. Don’t even talk about the blow by in the bilges But yet couldn’t kill ‘em
Love that tri drive buddy
And with the wheels, plus that frame.
Wayno you definitely have a time capsule, give those gems some love and looking forward to a build series content
Always loved the sound of old Detroit diesels . I remember the first time I ever got the chance to drive a truck with a big Detroit what’s a 74 white Westernstar. Man, I was so proud the noise of that thing I could not get the smile off my face. Just crossing the lights it sounded like it was really doing the business. I was told that a young age 1st thing you do before you get in the cab and slam the door on your fingers to get you in the right mood to shift the transmission with the big Detroit, lol
I love it! What were you hauling?
Wayne U would love my mates ford ltl 9000 that my mate is building here in Australia he has put a 12v71 in it very rare here in Australia
I have seen it on Facebook its cool AF!
That sounds like a "Greased Shoehorn" fit, for sure in those Fords..... tell your Mate, that he needs to share a few video's of his "build"..... PLEASE ??? lol
Nice that the owner let them go before they were rotted away.
Definitely.
The struggle is real, my friend! The struggle is real.
I'm the best at staying struggling. Lol
@ You and me both! Gotta love that ole iron. Reminds me of when I used to ride with my grandfather. I used to have to hide in the sleeper so he wouldn’t get in trouble. For a little kid, riding in a big truck is like being on top of the world.
Haven’t found anything yet that doesn’t get better with bacon 😂
Awesome Wayne I ran a few of those ford's as a day long trip. , loved the feel of them , yea forchanatly can't save em all here today we're stuck with the Tupperware torpedo s
I tried!!
17:54
The Orange stripe on the door tells you its top of the line interior!
Love this Ford!
I did too, i wish he would've sold it to me!
You are KILLING ME. Having to wait to watch more!
Everyone says my 40 minute videos are too long so blame them lol!
Then tell them to put you on 1.5x speed. 😁
@@Ol2Stroker.... You meant to say... Their NOT Long enough!! lol
@@Ol2Stroker f them
Haha sure appreciate you guys 🤟
gotta love a Detroit Pete. especially a 12V71
Major rigspect Wayne! Came home with some beauts!
Thanks man we're trying! Rigspect I like that 👌
No Engine Brake in town ! And your no one to be comparing voices lol ☮️🍁
The sign is wrong 😅
OMG I love those old Peterbilts Holy Grail finds for sure!!
I do to bro! Got lucky!
@Ol2Stroker if there's anything I can help with just let me know. I can try looking up the build sheets if you want? Just send me the serial numbers. Peterbilt put alot of the microfiche trucks on webEcat.
Thanks Mike I sure appreciate it. I never buy one of these old big power trucks without having the build record first.
Dammit Dale. You keep getting all the cool shit.
Cool find to find (2) pete factory v-12 powered in one spot
Pretty wild
You still see the Fords down here in Big Toothpick , Virginia and West Virginia , hauling logs ,,, .
Great find and great video, thanks so much for posting 👍
Man thank yall for watching!
I can almost smell this video when you open the doors on those trucks 😅
They smell pretty good actually!!
ABSOLUTELY---------> OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!. 🙂
Awesome find brother especially the Coe
That thing is aces!
Super Cool old trucks 👍. Thanks
Back in the day, it would pass everything, but the fuel stop!😂
It's gonna be the same nowadays except it also isn't gonna be able to pass a bank so i can get money for the fuel 😅😅
I live about 12 miles from Dexter, MI in Plymouth. MI
I grew up in Canton and hunted in Gregory. It's awesome seeing places I know in his videos.
❤❤ love your videos awesome content😊
What a find Wayne- if you need more space at your yard I’ll take the v8 CAT off your hands. Just need to find a way to import it into UK 😂😂😂😂
You're too late she's long gone!
@ I must have missed that one. Hope it’s gone to a good home….
@matt150269 indeed. Gentlemen been looking for one for a long time. He'll do it justice
This looks like a 12 volt system with a 24 volt starting system, series parallel switch.
Made a lot of money fixing them
Yes indeed
Those rigs really are mint!!!! Nice haul!!!
I have to say, I’m no Detroit fan but those old girls are amazing finds
Nice work Wayne, great content
Thanks!!! I'm pumped!
had one of those engines powering 600 CFM air compressor and it had a short exhaust, it was deafening when we would open it up and blow stuff across the yard
That's awesome!
Cool OLD Trucks!
I would love to have that cabover. I had a similar fuel tank issue, I agree 'why check it?', when I finally did, a dirt dobber had help me.
Its a super nice old horse!
I have been watching forever and it's always great watching you expand your fleet. Keep up the good work and great videos. I look forward to every single one of them !!!
Thanks brother!!!
Great find .
Awesome trip Wayne
Ok I saw what you were thinking you watch diesel Creek I watch him too
I used to run east coast with a guy who had a twin turbo V12 in an extended hood KW.
Turbos were mounted on the firewall up in the cowl right next to the breathers.
Hell yes! I bet that pulled awesome!
@ yeah, he had no problem keeping up with my turned up 425hp 3406😂
I was making 460 to the ground with my Cat (dyno tested) he was a little hotter than that, said it should have been around 600 at the crank but he never had it on a dyno.
I remember the engine was white, he said someone had replaced the original unit with one out of a boat.
This was mid 90’s, we were hauling steel and running pretty heavy (like 80k on the deck heavy) from Chicago to Philly twice a week.
@EarlJames-n1j that's badass!!
Nice. Envious is the word that comes to mind.
Wow that was awesome , I really enjoyed that video ! Thanks for all the work you’ve put in to make these videos for us , you’re a great guy , sharing how to fix trucks , Detroits . It’s always entertaining . I don’t know how you do it . Great having James along I always enjoy seeing him . Wishing you and Tracey a merry Christmas and happy new year , thanks all the best from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Merry Christmas brother thank you for the kind words and support!
Holy cow! That conventional Pete is one of the first I've seen on your channel that has an interior that doesn't contrast with the outside color! lol great score I've probably driven by there a hundred times and never knew they were there.
I'm real happy with the interior! Thanks
Good on ya Wayne! A twofer saved! Gotta love it man, Christmas at Waynes' place is awesome!
Merry Christmas Wayno! Can't wait to see the upcoming videos with the 12V's, they're frigging sweet!
Thanks man Merry Christmas!
Double frame on the Conventional and single on the cabover. that double frame has lot's of rust jacking between the frames
Its a single frame with a liner under the 5th. That's hardly rust jacked at all
Freaking sweet old beauties, what a find
Awsome video wayne. Thank you for this early christmas gift for us!
All yall watching are making me the best Christmas gift so thank you!!!
That 12v 359 could be something cool. Looked like I saw a double frame. Maybe a 750 Holmes with a zacklift underreach. I thought I saw some rust jacking but really minimal especially for a 1975. I'm assuming a 13 speed single over based on the gear ratio. It's really a cool old truck.
And I have to tell you I was always a Mack guy, but I love my LTL 9000. Really comfortable cab
it's a single frame truck thankfully.
“Buzz’in Dozen got a new Cuzz’in”. Keep on Truck’in.
Awesome rids!!!!
Beautiful all of em
Double SCORE!!! Nice!!!
