Just upgraded to the ultra 2 coming from a series 4 its a nice upgrade but I chose it cause I care a lot about having extra battery life and the durability for my current job.
Upgraded from a 6 to the Ultra 2, very happy! Once you add Cellular to the larger Series 9 you are starting to get up there in price. Traded in the 6 for a decent amount as well so was able to get the Ultra for about $680. Loving the Ultra so far! Very nice review!
@@MarbsMusic thats great! I can't do without the cellular because I try to leave my phone at home and only use my watch when I'm out with my kids. Helps me to stay focused on them. Glad you're happy with the purchase!
Great & comprehensive comparison my friend. Is it wise to grab the Ultra 2 after the removal of Blood oxygen app? I’m in the Middle East Asia and Apple here claiming the watches does have the Blood Oxygen app🧐
Go with Garmin Fenix 7, Epix Gen 2 or even Venu 3 if you need long, long battery life. They just lack some of the SmartWatchish features of the AppleWatch, but are much better fitness trackers then the Apple Watch from an overall perspective. I am finding the overall dedicated fitness tracking aspects of the Garmin are much better than Apple, but I do have both. As I am getting more and more concerned about my health and more focused on fitness tracking, I find my Apple watches (Ultra, S9 and an S8)sitting on their chargers more and more with either my Garmin Epix Gen 2 or Venu 3 getting more time on my wrist.
Great overview. Ultra 2 looks more masculine IMO. Wish these came in smaller cases for smaller wrists. It will be a slam dunk and easily top seller for Apple. What do you think ?
Just ordered an Ultra 2 yesterday, upgrading from a hand me down Series 3. My biggest concern was durability and the stainless steel series 9 is nearly the same price as the Ultra 2, plus I like to do a lot of outdoorsy stuff so I think the Ultra 2 will be everything I could ask for and more. Really looking forward to it!
You’re gonna love it! Did the series 3 feel slow to you? I had a series 3 about a year ago and it was a little slow but was still holding up pretty well.
@@JonAdamsTech Yeah it’s pretty choppy and kinda unresponsive at times, I’m surprised it’s lasted me as long as it did up to now but I guess it couldn’t have chosen a better time to start to give up on me haha
I purchased the Series 9 last week, 45mm/no cell, and I'm impressed with how well it pairs with my iPhone 14. It's my first smart watch so I have no point of comparison, but I'm really enjoying the look and the function of it.
Awesome review! I really like the depth but to-the-point presentation. I would only suggest trying to add some text, especially when specifying tech details or listing things, as that makes it easier to follow. This is just my opinion, but awesome work nonetheless.
Hey, that is definitely what I intended to do but then went with the whole "Done is better than perfect" thing haha, the fall is super busy for me at my job so I had to cut a corner. Definitely something I intend to do with future uploads though. Thanks for watching!
Great review. Just a helping comment here. When doing close up shots of the devices, try to take out so much depth of field. It seems that there are a lot of blurry points on the devices which is unsettling to the viewer when they want to enjoy the sharp edges and such for the devices. Keep going! Killing it!
For sure, I actually had a friend do the B-roll for this video because he wanted to work on his product videography skill. All my other videos are completely me but I've definitely made that mistake before. Thanks for the input!
I’m still confused and I can’t chose one. I have the Apple Watch 6 with steel band which is pretty expensive. Mine is good however the design I think it’s a bit nicer but I don’t know if the ultra will be worth it as at the end it’s the same functionality and everything else.
I think if you're going to upgrade and you want to actually feel a difference the ultra is the way to go. The 9 is really nice but it won't feel like all that much of an upgrade. That's just my opinion though, let me know what you end up doing!
@@JonAdamsTech Apple Watch 9 is not in my plan at all, I feel all Apple Watch models are the same but the ultra is a bit different in battery and design only. But is it worth the money I’m wondering. Thank you for the advice
yup the flat side should face out and while you are wearing it you shouldn't be able to see the size of the band, should be hiding inside@@JonAdamsTech
Which one would you get, the ultra 2 or the series 9?
Choosed Ultra 1. Cuz it was $400 cheaper than 2. Series 9 next to ultra looks like kids toy imo.

@windcz Yeah ultra 1 is still so good

No clue, I’d have to research that more, sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!

Solid advice
very relaxed style of video, easy to listen to. i've got the 6 with a battery starting to go. love the watch. on the fence with 9 vs ultra.
I appreciate it! I’d go with the 9, save the money :)

Yeah I could see that, I love the design aesthetic of the ultra so if it came in a bit smaller of a housing that would be awesome!

@@Abdullah-zl9ub having held them both I personally would go with the ultra, it's so sweet.
@@JonAdamsTech thank you for your advice! Hope I will be brave enough and get it!
nice video, but be careful with the band of de iWatch 9 because is not connected in the right way
How so? It worked when putting it on was it upside down or something? if so.... whoopsie!

iWatch? 🤷🏼♀️🤣
I never wear watches… but starting to reconsider that
It’s 100% worth it!
Amazing video. New sub. You’re great.
Hey I appreciate it!
I am still waiting Apple to perfect the BP and Glucose monitoring on their devices. Till then, its Analog watches for me.
Man that will be so helpful, I have a lot of diabetics in my family and that would be a game changer! Thanks for checking out the video.
Hmm…
So far my U2 has been giving me the same readings as my Omron blood pressure machine.
Garmin beat all these crap
How so? I've heard good things but I'm curious what ways you've seen it better?
