I bought the Apple Watch Ultra 2 on launch day and I have no regrets. The battery life is great. This is what I wanted, a watch that can last for days without charging with the AOD on at all times. Tropical Storm Ophelia passed through this weekend and I was out in the pouring rain with my AWU2 on and dealing with 5 wedding parties at the hotel I work at, so I guess you can say I’m using the extreme features of the watch, lol.
I got the Ultra when it came out and have absolutely loved everything about it, I wear it basically all of the time. Off of a full charge I’ll get over 2 days of use out of it (with somewhat heavy feature use) and it still looks brand new even with accidental bumps on walls and stuff.
I have a question about the cellular service on the Ultra 2. If I get a call on my iPhone and I don't answer it, does it get forwarded to my Ultra 2, or is the iPhone and the watch pinged at the same time?
Fair point that people don’t “need” to upgrade from the Ultra 1, but it was worth it for me. Apple is offering twice the trade in value as the previous generations of Apple Watch, and the new way to interact with the watch and new processor justifies the upgrade for me. On device Siri is also a big deal that you didn’t mention, it results in significant speed improvements.
Great video, as usual. I made the mistake of taking a pass on version 1 last year and corrected that this weekend when I picked up the Ultra 2! Great watch thus far...

yeah Cj! Grabbed that bad boy on launch day! loving it! wanted to grab the first Ultra but I was I was on the fence because I loved my series 7 so much buuuut.... I seen the two and I knew its was time lol so I am officially an Ultra 2 owner now and im loving it!!!

I'm loving the apple watch ultra 1. I've had it since release with no issues whatsoever. so the ultra 2 should definitely be a winner for anyone who don't have the 1.

Might have to get one of those Casetify bands in the future, I’m allergic to the Nike silicone band.. and using the black Milanese loop instead… but 1st need to get apple watch Ultra, but waiting in Air M3 1st 😊 one step at a time 😊😂

Coming from a series 6 I was on the fence about which one to get. After watching several comparisons reviews I elected to buy a first gen Ultra. I could save close to $200 on it so I jumped at that chance. I have zero interest in the double tap feature and other than that I don't see much difference for my needs

Great information. I’m a female with smaller wrists. I love this watch. My band watch size is small/medium. The Ultra 2 is much larger than my series 6 however huge upgrade for me as I’m more active now and I do not carry my iPhone with me at all times so the battery bump is a big plus for me. I have seen other ladies rocking the watch that have smaller to larger wrists.

Nah it’s not “necessary” and the series 9 will give a solid Apple Watch experience

Everyone was talking about the blood oxygen disabled but I had my ultra 2 and titanium pro max for a week now and mine works you all should check to see if your blood oxygen works.

What I find interesting is that the bottom of the watch doesnt say Ultra 2. The other Apple Watches say the series on the bottom. Makes you think they at least used the same bottom

I’m not to keen on silver watches unless it’s an analog. I understand the paint scratching and all that jazz but that’s on me not Apple.

i upgraded to the ultra 2 from the series 5 soo if nothing else, battery life alone was worth it for me (i tend to to go sleep a/out charging devices soo this is clutch).
Great video. It's time for Samsung to bring back the Samsung gear s from years ago they haven't changed their style for years now and it's gotten old the same old round frame. It's time for change hastag bring back a updated version of the Samsung gear s.
57 hours with this watch and the battery is at 36%.. The watch has always been on with AOD always on and the screen at full brightness. About 500 km used car play navigation, reading and writing messages, sleep tracking on at night and all health options activated, listening to music and making calls. The battery works for 3 full days!

CJ, fun video! I went from the U1 to the U2! Why? First, I got a deal from T-Mobile on the U1 with a $200 rebate spread over 24 months. Then I decided to get the U2 and $380 trade in from Apple. Since I sent the U1 on Thursday, I’m waiting for the refund from Apple. Yes, it’s still a lot to pay for but doing it piecemeal I barely feel it. However, this is going to be my watch for the foreseeable future. Why? The SiP9 is going to be The Chip for the next 3 years at least. The improved display is going to be hard to improve on and the double storage (64GB) is probably not going to get better anytime soon. So, this is the watch to settle with for the duration. Also the better battery life in low power mode is also a winner. The AW X looks like they are going to ditch current watch bands. Just one more reason to keep the U2! 😊

Great video. I love your rational views on tech products and reviewers. Reviewers always hype wanting Android features while rarely pointing out Apple’s exclusive and better features. Apple Watch’s feature to feature is more advanced than every other smartwatch in the market but it’s supposedly all about the battery life. Marketing goes BOTH ways! It’s marketing when we see more segments about Apple’s lack of repairability than their years of updates and customer support. Which really causes more e-waste, a quickly useless device or one still working 7 years later? The “Notch” drumbeat, but rarely about how it housed the most secure and technically advanced biometric scanners in the industry. Apple’s chips, builds and security are far superior. All those calculated shout outs to Android features by reviewers while Apple users are loving the dynamic island and mind blowing camera capabilities.
Facts i Immediately tell them he difference. The Ultra 2 has better software, brighter, better and much needed CPU, and seems like it’s what the Ultra 1 should’ve been.

I had to crop AWU2 to say the obvious yes it’s the same AWU1 but
I noticed the AWU2 slightly a bit faster
Battery life 😆😄 its oook I got 3/4 days with AOD on & no work out
But when I go hard work outs 1 hr jogging answering calls & replying texts Apple Pay my purchases ALL day LTE so no phone you could reach 2 days max 😎 that’s really going hard

I was watching a speed test on the ultra one versus two. The ultra 2 Is noticeably faster I was kind of shocked.

LOL. Not being a hater, but cost/price is major factor when considering the value of a consumer product. You can make the world's best product, but it's not really the best if no one can afford it. Ignoring price/cost is like ignoring that it's a consumer product to begin with. Just my two cents.
